By all indications, Liverpool should be blowing Everton away with the difference in quality and form, both of which are factors that are stronger than any superstitious attributions to derby matches. But I still feel this is a match they could struggle with as they did last season.

Everton after Liverpool will be visiting Arsenal, hosting Chelsea and visiting City. A very busy December for them against all teams in the top four. It will sting for whichever of those teams they are able to take points from.
