Airdrop is free. If someone asks you to send ETH to them and receive shit tokens then it is definitely a scam. And you shouldn't send ETH to them because it's a stupid act, just ignore that message and don't care about it.

It is one of the many ways that they will use to try to scam people. They will ask to send ETH, but then they will not send anything after the transaction completed. They will not explain what is the problem to people because they will not answer anything to us if we ask them about the token. I hope the OP is not sending any ETH amount to them, and he can be more careful if he wants to join in any project because there will be many of them that will be the other ways to trick the people.
I think so far there have been many cases like that, they ask you to send the required amount of ethereum and after that if you are lucky then you can withdraw assets but when you are not lucky then you will have difficulty when withdrawing your assets because they are being held by developers for a variety of reasons.

I just created SCAM accusation against NLC Token for plagiarizing whitepaper. Take a look here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/scam-nlc-token-plagiarized-whitepaper-5230077 and give your opinion.

Thank you so much, there are a lot of people were being cheated by this group (Night Light Coin), the Telegram group is over 26+ members now  Cry

That is more reason you need to be careful.  No one should ask you to pay something of such, in order to receive the reward for the task you will still do for them.
@FAtFork, that was a good one. At least, their plan has been foiled. I just hope no one fell into their trap.
Had it been it is possible for them to be brought to book, it would have been good.

Hi All, a friend send me a message with info about a new token name NLC (Night Light Coin) with domain nlccoin.com
But the condition to receive the token airdrop is have to transfer ETH to this address: 0x36afEe66EA8d6a99A9c6c7e676D512eA4A19bC83
I'm not sure if this project is real or from any scammer to cheat everyone. Please give me some advice
Thank you

My friend, this is a very pure scam.  Any airdrop requesting for a certain amount of ETH as a withdrawal fees is created by scammers.  If these scammers raked in for example 0.02 ETH from around 10,000 participants. Isn't that an handsome amount of dollars.  Never give in to any airdrop asking for such.

Funny things we see everyday, a new token which might not be on any good exchange is asking for Eth in return of their token all in the name of airdrop; my question is between the ETH and their token which is more valuable? I rather stick to my little ETH and giving it out in exchange of a token with no use case at all. I would advise you to stick to your Eth and ignore the airdrop, it is not worth it and it shows the team are looking for whom to rip off.

You made a big mistake to be honest, how can you send Ethereum to receive a trash token airdrop ? and of course that project is definitely  a scam. But you have nothing to do now, you can't get your ETH back, be careful next time and believe me most of ICO projects are a scam like, 90% in my opinion, also the tokens are not profitable and worthless especially in a long term, stop wasting your time on these trival stuff.

Who are you talking to? Who made the big mistake?
OP never said he sent ETH anywhere, so you obviously got it wrong. Or have you read the original post at all?

I can say that this is just a piece of scam in which you need first to send some ethereum before in order to get the token airdrop and just based on the initial information it is clearly that he/she will just scam you in sending first an ethereum and after that he will just vanished just like nothing happens and the ethereum that you have been send to him will be just nothing and the token airdrop that they have promised will be remain unknown and you will not get it. Just a piece of advice, don't get me wrong just don't trust people who requires to send some ethereum or bitcoin just to claim your token.
This is obviously a scam, if you are just a newbie without taking any studies of what you are doing that might actually lead to bad things which are losing your money. I can say that you should have knowledge first before taking steps here because one single mistake can lead to the worst situation. There are no such payment when you are joining some airdrops, you should know that sir.  But that mistake must not happen again, we should learn from the mistakes we commit. I advise that you should study first and learn every important information before making decisions.
I believe that the airdrop program is completely free, so if someone asks for a fee or transfers eth for reasons related to gas,
he probably should not send it.
let's start thinking, don't be easily provoked by obscure bait.
You are just feeding the scam developers once you pay for that transactions, there's no way that you should pay for anything whenever you are joining the airdrops. Better to keep away and find other projects instead, those who are not asking for anything just the wallet itself and received the value of tokens that they've promise to send you over.
Indeed, it is really hard to see that scammers are getting what they want. We don't want that to happen, so we should prevent and notice if the particular project is a scam. You can actually notice that you just need to learn how to analyze that. Just study and get yourself ready to the next plan that you have.

I think you already get the right answer from a lot of posters here.
The condition itself looks scammy already, and though I am not fully aware of the project yet, but if I were you, I would stay away in that kind of airdrop.

Usually airdrop are earn free, without money involve, you just need to do a simple task to be eligible.

Well, if you were to ask me, what I can think and I can say that the project you have said is partially a scam because supposedly an airdrop has no charge and you will not be asked to send any cryptocurrency or amount into any address because an airdrop is a free event for token dissemination wherein you just have to register and sometimes do some sort of requirements to be able to participate into an airdrop event. Well, based on my experience, I haven't encountered any airdrop asking for a participant to sent an amount into an address to be able to take a place in joining an airdrop event. You do really need to be wise and observant most of the time so that you won't be able to fall or get fooled into such schemes that just aim to scam everyone. Better before doing anything on hand, do research or educate yourself to be able to keep yourself ready and alert all the time to avoid such scams.

Personally, I think the INEL project is a very good and promising project. Since the project has a lot of information available and you can easily pay or buy tokens of this project. You can also contact the project manager and he will help in any matters related to the purchase of tokens.

Use your common sense and you will know the answer, first of all what it is an airdrop? And airdrop is when the developers of a project distribute for free their coins to people that support that coin, the keyword here is free, they are asking you for a payment and as such it is not an airdrop anymore, and since they are doing this in an underhanded way most likely this is a scam, so forget about that project and do not send them money or your personal information.

You are not participating in IEO or public sale so I wonder why you would think of sending your ETH in exchange for a token, an Airdrop token for that matter, which probably might not be listed nor have any value nor any good thing to offer at all. This is a cheap scam, therefore don't send any ETH rather delete the message because it won't end well. Good airdrops don't require your Eth rather it requires you carrying out some tasks after which you are sent the Airdrop token, so any airdrop asking for payment before sending the token is a scam.

I am not sure
But I think it is 99% scam
These are tricks they use mate, together with a couple of others I would try and list here.
1. Some might plead that you help them withdraw their funds from an exchange platform and they would give you a portion of it (most likely a decent amount to lure you)
2. Others would show you tricks on a Casino platform and how they can make you win. The evidences he/she would show will surely be true but do not fall for this as well, they will take away your money.
3. Some would also tell you that the funds are for gas fees, this is also scam! Ask yourself, which decent project does not have just $100 to use as gas fees in the development of their project.

I would add more as they come in mind, need to hit the road to run some errands for the wife!
