Hi All, a friend send me a message with info about a new token name NLC (Night Light Coin) with domain nlccoin.com
But the condition to receive the token airdrop is have to transfer ETH to this address: 0x36afEe66EA8d6a99A9c6c7e676D512eA4A19bC83
I'm not sure if this project is real or from any scammer to cheat everyone. Please give me some advice
Thank you
Making someone to send funds in an address is obviously a scam!

Just a piece of advice I don't think you should entertain this kind of message I think it was just a classic scam message in telegram.
Also your not gonna need to send funds or ETH just to received an airdrop, most of the time it was just a small task you need to complete like liking a page.

But the condition to receive the token airdrop is have to transfer ETH
This is a technique commonly used by scammers. Never transfer anything when they ask your ETH or BTC to claim your rewards. Even if it is not a scam, I think it won't be worth because people usually get a small amount only from airdrop tasks. So, it doesn't make sense for you to transfer them your ETH. What for!!  Cheesy

Immediately leave if you are required to send funds to a specific wallet to receive rewards. That happens a lot in airdrop bots, mining bots in telegrams, use your logic well. I have also received a 0.5 BTC reward from a bot that requires me to send 50 $ for a fee, which will later be returned along with the reward that I will get. I thought, just reduce my reward for changing fees, it's simple right? but for those who have been hooked with a big prize will certainly do anything, logically paralyzed, only realized if the reward was never sent and the funds sent were never returned.

That's a scam.
If someone tells you to send an amount to this "xx" address and I'll send you something you don't even know and has possible no value at all.
Will you send?

The hand writing on the wall is clear, it is a scam. An airdrop is a free token gotten for performing certain activities in a project whether upcoming or already existing, now why would you pay to receive an Airdrop? I see many of these on Twitter and people who also fall into their trap. Secondly it is not a real project because a real project seeks for funding either through IEO or as the case may be and if there will be an airdrop event, it will be through an appropriate channel and they won't ask for users or participants to send a certain amount of ETH in order to receive their token.

It shouldn't be labelled as scam outrightly yet until there's further proof of this accusations. Most big projects request for airdrop participants to make some sort of payment to receive their rewards, this can be a measure to ensure real people joins.

Be sure this is a cheap scam as airdrops don't require you to send any money to them. Anyone who falls for this kind of scam has not  been reading several previous post on this forum on how to avoid scams. An example is self-airdrop.

According to their webpage this is 100% scam. There is no team, their whitepaper looks pathetic. It is not even a whitepaper, but a 15 pages of powerpoint presentation. Plus it is unclear what their project is about, it is only said that they have a token.

Rofl, take a look on the twitter account for an email that is used for help - [email protected]. Gmail.com !!!

Their domain https://nlccoin.com/ was created 2 weeks ago, according to https://www.whois.net/

If an airdrop is asking you to send gas fee in ethereum to receive your tokens then its most likely a scam. And you are saying your friend send it to you then ask him that did get got his tokens or not ensure the legitimacy of the airdrop but from my view its just an old school method of scamming people for few bucks.

I don't see any team that has really complete data from their website, other than that, don't ever send ETH for any airdrop. however, that is too suspicious. there are many scams that require us to send ethereum first, besides, I think this project is not very well known for listing on poloniex.

This is one of the most recent ways of scamming people especially some people that participate in free giveaway and airdrops. They promise you a certain amount of token which will be received if you transferred some ETH to their wallet. Some of you will even lie to you that it is the gas fee that is needed so that is why they asked you to send the ETH. They will accumulate all the participant money and probably send you a token that amount to nothing and sometimes you get nothing so be careful.

A bullshit and shoddy project coming from scammers. Their website is so simple and doesn't have too much information about the project, we can easily recognize this is a scam so there's no need to send ETH to them. Projects like this may fool investors in 2017 but now it will completely fail

If you are going to send ETH to an address to receive NLC then its not an airdrop its like buying this NLC.  Not sure if its a legit project though but the way you said it means its not, you already knew how this all work which is why you are asking.

People don't even giveaway their emails just to get an airdrop, forget about that if it asks for ETH. Its 90% scam already.

There is not even a clear profile about this project. Twitter telegram is not listed on its website. I suspect they are doing a scamer by holding an airdrop like this and must first send Ethereum to receive an NLC token.

The point is do not believe in projects like this they know how to move forward after leaving the project after getting a lot of money from the victims.

Airdrop means free tokens worth either $2 or a max $10. If you are being asked to transfer Ethereum in order to avail the airdrop then it is 100 percent scam.

Airdrop are meant to engage or create community regardless of their Fiat value. No one will ask you to pay first to get $2 or $10;worth of tokens.

I don't need to check the information on this project, but for what you're saying, they're asking you to send ETH to them so they can send worthless tokens to you. So obviously this is a scam and worthless project, don't waste your time and money on it. Stay away from it and find other projects better

Whenever an Airdrop campaign asks ETH for a gas fee or for others reason, ignore that Airdrop at the first stage. When I was new, I sent ETH to many airdrop campaigns and got nothing worthy except scam. So, from my experience, I am suggesting you don't even visit on that poor site, and if you are a regular airdrop doer then use a hardware wallet to ensure high security of your wallet!

Base on the transaction history of that address, I might say yes, they might send you the token or maybe no. But seriously, for what reason you will send eth to them? That token seems spam and there's no future of it, it doesn't even have any information on their contract address such website, and social media links -> https://etherscan.io/token/0x05007434B72A5E99348186F45fcd3660917Da683
This is a new tactic to rip off some eth. I have seen such things one time earlier. The project owner ask for little amount of ETH for sending some shitcoins. This little amount from a large amount of people get a good amount at the end.
So, this is a pure scam. As I always say, "altcoin market is more complex than anyone can imagine. You will be scammed but you never will realize that you have been scammed."

Stay away from it, otherwise you will lose money, just visit the website you will see a Web page and Whitepaper were created carelessly, No information about the founding team. Obviously this is a project created to scam people. At the moment even good projects created by a professional team are not necessarily profitable, it would be foolish to send money to the creators of this project.
