The project looks legit but the way of getting tokens in airdrop seems like a scam to me, you don't have to send your ethereum in order to get the tokens. Airdrop is a free tokens that you will get.

I am not familiar with that project, so i cannot say that it is absolutely scam or not. However, airdrop campaigns which demand a certain amount of Ethereum from you, are usually scams. So i think it's not worth taking such a big risk. And i recommend that you stay away from that airdrop campaign.

Hi All, a friend send me a message with info about a new token name NLC (Night Light Coin) with domain nlccoin.com
But the condition to receive the token airdrop is have to transfer ETH to this address: 0x36afEe66EA8d6a99A9c6c7e676D512eA4A19bC83
I'm not sure if this project is real or from any scammer to cheat everyone. Please give me some advice
Thank you

The first question you should have asked yourself is, why should I send ETH to get an airdrop of a token which might not worth it? I see it as exchanging ETH for a worthless token all in the name of airdrop, thereby I call it scam and you should be careful of it. Airdrop is a free token, it is not paid for but given to users when they help promote a platform, therefore any airdrop asking for Eth isn't an airdrop rather the creators are only after your ETH and should be overlooked.

Do not transfer any ETH to that address, at first the project is shitcoin or scam because no body know the coin, secondly any one asking to send ETH to an address to claim token can be scam, what happens if after you send and you get nothing back?

During this time I often followed Airdrop and when I found a project like that. I will not continue to send ETH to that address. If the project is real, I guess they won't ask you to send ETH.

You should be more cautious and not send your money to projects that are not real. And my suggestion is to better ignore such a project and look for real Airdrop.

again and again  we see shit projects that want to earn money from beginner investors or airdrop hunter. no matter its name selfdrop or airdrop, personally i will not send any eth as they requested. better to use my money to invest in eth or major coins and hold it for long time. its more worthed than we have to send our eth to unknown projects.
I see, thank you. A lot of people sent ETH to this shit  Cry And a lot of resources are supporting them to cheat more and more... Here is the Telegram group: https://t.me/NightLightCoin
How to report Telegram and Twitter to stop this scammer?

From the previous experience, I know this kind of project will ask you to give a little eth. If you give them, you will get their coins. But in the end, you will not find them anymore, anywhere! They will not work on their project, will not give you any updates, neither Telegram or Twitter. So I would say be careful. This kind of project is totally scam.

Airdrops and giveaways should be free that is how it really works, you are buying their coins and not really giving them to you free, it's very questionable if they ask fee just to unlock those airdrops and give away it's like the other airdrop that ask for the receiver's private keys before they send the airdrop.

I didn’t join this kind of airdrop that ask for sending ETH.Maybe it is scam, don't send your ETH.I saw many project asked for ETH to cover there trx fee,but if they can't afford trx then how they can develop there coin in future.even In 2018 some airdrops asked for eth to receive airdrop token, few peoples send eth and that airdrop turned to scam.So better not to join any airdrop that ask for ETH.

You shouldn't have to send ETH to receive an airdrop. Airdrops are supposed to be free coins "airdropped" to people so that early adoption and use is encouraged.
Agree, it already seems real that it is a scam, I would not believe in a project like this, moreover they only give Airdrop coins. I can only suggest that immediately stay away from Airdrop Like that.

Isnt it selfdrop? I'm thinking that is more likely that was for. Check the website if its secured and try to find their social check if its just created or has been using other copy paste details. Mostly scam projects were just using and copying legit files and using as their own.

Airdrop is quite different from selfdrop since you need to pay small amount of eth in order to received coins which depend on the rates so definitely this isnt an airdrop.

Hi All,
Thank you so much for all comments of yours. I have a big discussion with my friend. He told me that this is a SELF DROP and BOUNTY so it's different from AIR DROP etc... He show me that the website having links for Telegram, Github, Reddit. And NLC was listed on buzzin.com so it's not scam. Admin from NLC also inform the NLC token will be listed on whitebit exchange soon (15th March) etc... At this time, I have not made any decision to join this event because I think this is scam as all of you  Grin Their preparation is so careless even the spelling and bad presentation.

Yes, if they are giving airdrop no need for the user to send eth before receiving any of their token.
Also, how do you know that they will be of value in the market later on?
Most of them will be abandoned after their airdrop program as they already got something from the users.

But for me, these are points why I will not trust this project :
-anonymous team
-generic roadmap
-whitepaper is not professionally written, generic content
-no tangible product or service offering
-you can't find any valid reg for the mentioned company
and many more...OP needs to do his research before believing that they will be listed in the mentioned target exchanges.

There are several projects that hold airdrops and require them to send ETH to a certain address (this is the same as buying an ICO token)
Some of them have managed to enter the market, but most of them are scams

This is called scam, dont fall foe this, a project asking for money in return of rewards are definitely scam one. Ive been with the forun for so long and I know that this type is a hoax. I hate to say this, but eth network has been used to illegal activity.

Sometimes crypto projects ask people to send some ethereum to cover airdrop sending gas fees and also to filter those people who have some crypto and fight multi-accounts.
This should not be covered by hunters since its freedrop. If its, then its not free anymore.

The first rule of Airdrop is that they are free. This is not an airdrop or it is a scam. If they are calling it airdrop while asking for ethereum then it is suspicious. I'd suggest to keep your distance from this kind of project. Atleast i won't join it.

that's a scam. Never try to send any amount of ethereum to such an address. I believe if your friend was also wanna scam you too. I just wanna remind you never to try to buy any suspicious coin that even was offered by your friend. So many people are getting fooled even by their close people. That's a scam and you should avoid hearing anything that already offered by your friend.
