I really want to play poker on crypto casino, I chase it and still don't know any popular and trustworthy casino that has Poker in their game list. Btw it will be more fun if they join the network but I agree with you, they will be able to do on their own too.

SWC and Betnomi, I think these 2 are the most reliable places if you wanna play pvp poker game with crypto.
I was very active poker players years ago but when I was still playing in fiat poker sites.
When I started to gamble in crypto casinos, I do not play poker much but I always try whenever there is a new poker site in this crypto gambling industry.
With the current situation of Stake where they have huge player base, I think it will be a great movement from Stake to expand their business and gain more profit.
swcpoker.club, right? Cool, I found video of someone on youtube playing swcpoker and I can say that interface of their software looks familiar to me. I'm a little bit lazy to register on Betnomi but can't find a video of how it looks/feels to play poker on their website. Btw betnomi looks like a good option, it's a casino with a lot of games at the same time.

Unfortunately he seems to love to speak and announce many things but after that nothing happens for some reasons, especially when someone from the chat say one feature is missing during his live streams. But I wonder why they haven't already added it if they were interested in this matter. Even smaller casinos like Nitrobetting or Betnomi already have a poker room so it shouldn't be very hard for a big platform like Stake to create one.
Nitro has poker full of collusion and betnomi poker is provided by a 3rd party. Their poker you are playing a player pool across many different networks. Private tourneys that have been organized are only bitcointalk players but the other tourneys and ring games are from the rest of the network.

I am curious to see stake launch poker(who knows how long players will be waiting), but I'm also curious how they plan to stop collusion.

It depends on what kind of poker Stake will have. If their goal is to create a poker cash game, then it really shouldn't be a hard task for them because they only need to add some tables on their site. However, if the Stake team wants to create a full-fledged poker room, they will need to create their own software for that anyway. In that case, that doesn't seem to be such an easy and quick task.

The demand on poker is not that high on crypto casino as you can see on other casino offering this kind of game. I doubt Stake is planning a full fledged poker room while they can only just add table for like what they did on their Evolution Gaming Exclusive Blackjack table.

I think they are doing the same path with their Blackjack tables on Evolution Gaming. They are just trying to customized the feature since this table is not available so far on Evo which probably the reason for the long wait for this game.

It may be that there is not as much demand in the casino for the game of poker because there are no poker games that are good, there are no poker games where you play against other people, there are only places where you have to pay to enter a tournament , and that is in few casinos, that is why there is not so much demand, but I have seen that in the threads there are poker players who have a lot of experience and who know many strategies, and they can also teach , I would like to play against all of them I know I would Lose, because I wouldn't know how to play, I would just play my game, but it's hard to win against experienced players.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
Let's see then.

I also want these, I hope they build a good system like "Evolution Games" or maybe doing some partnership with 'Evo' using their technology and platform. Rather than waiting so long for build these.

Looking forward.
What I can see here is that Stake will surely pay attention to all concerns of players
as they have proven themselves to be serving their players for how many years now so presenting poker games will be another milestone for them to extend gamblers love.
but like you , I have interest of Stake.com offering Poker as they need to go with the flow as this may be an old game but still popular to many gamblers specially now in online gambling.

On yesterday's stream Eddie said Poker should and will be coming to stake some time soon.
He didn't mention a specific time though.

I think that's a great idea. They basically get risk free money through collecting the rake. Having a super big player base this would be a HUGE opportunity for stake and for their players.

For people with skill at poker that might become a lucrative site. Many degen gamblers that just lost with casino games and sports might "try their luck" at poker, fishing time.  Grin

But when is this? and is it about poker tournaments ? I know that this keeping everyone waiting is very exciting , because we are waiting, in Addition , all this is taken advantage of because there are not many sites where pvp poker games work to be active , if they are looking for this to be active 24 hours a day day it would be something that is great, but if for poker games that are against the same casino it would be something very disappointing for me , because we all expect it to be something like that and quite big, where with some money you can Enter and play a lot , and the Tournaments that are made with good Prizes , that Motivate.

No worries. It's is not about casino game poker.

They are talking player vs player in a real poker format. Hopefully they figuring out something good behind the curtain. Poker has so many nice games, it would be sad to just feature no limit holdem or something.

We would at least need several omaha games such as BigO, 5c Omaha, 6c Omaha and so on. Those are action games where the provider can actually make to most earnings (rake) .

If they add poker then they should do it right. Not some half axxed try to make a decent option for players to play at. This would expand their brand a lot if it's done right. Also there are plenty of sponsorships opportunities for streamers and in live events, Poker still is super popular as a viewing experience as well.

Maybe it will be great for their business if they can have their own network and try to attract poker players from the other existing network.

Well building an entire ecosystem of poker network is pretty much the same as building an entire casino from the scratch. Aside from that, its going to cost them fortune to actually do that so I dont think Stake is willing to do that much on a market that has been controlled by several top poker network. At best they will cooperate with an existing poker network then launched poker in Stake, pretty much that

Exactly, but there is a possibility they will create their own network if we look at the fact Stake was also created from the scratch while basically they can modify/improve Primedice but they decided to create/build a new casino. Cooperating with existing network has a big benefit as well because there is at least player base already in the existing network. Lets see how it goes. However what I'm afraid is that if Stake add the poker in their current website, it will make the site become slower unless they also do a big upgrade in the current website.

Well, Stake has resources... but are they willing to spend a nice amount to get into poker more seriously or not time will tell. I guess it would be great to see a crypto poker place that can come closer to 888, Poker Stars, and some others.

Poker is not equal poker. What kind of poker variants will there be? I assume Texas Hold'em will be offered, naturally. Omaha Hold'em and Chinese poker would be nice additions as well. I wonder why crypto poker is so relatively small compared to other games? You would think it would be bigger, especially since it is relatively popular in every other non-crypto casino, especially physical location casinos.

As far as skill with poker goes, I think most of it lies in the ability to read someone elses bluff. Which used to be a skill since it was/is a face-to-face game but its almost impossible over the internet. So I would wager its more a luck game than anything, now.

It would be great if the Stake team could evolve this way, but it would be difficult for them to compete with networks like GG, WPN, 888, Pokerstars, etc. Personally, I would prefer to see daily multi-table tournaments from Stake, as well as regular series with BTC prize pools.
As for the statement that poker is a luck game, I don't agree with that. Luck can matter in a certain hand, but only skill is a decisive factor in the long run. Just look at the list of the richest poker players. Some of them have already won over $40-60 million. I highly doubt that any of these players are capable of winning tournaments on a regular basis relying only on luck.

Question is though, will they make their own poker software/network where only stake players will be able to play or will they join a network like ipoker, ggpoker, 888 and so on.
My best guess that they will keep it in house because KYC is not mandatory. Some abusers might want to run up some amounts on sports/casino and the chip dump it to somebody on a different site through shared network.

Anyway, I think it's a nice idea. Poker with crypto still is WAY too small.
Let's hope they can create a fun and safe environment with a lot of different poker variations like NLH, PLO, Stud games, Chinese Poker and so on.

Hopefully they are asking the players for their input when creating this! And please, make some moderate rake.  Grin

    -  I also noticed that there are really only a few poker games in the field of crypto, only a few of them actually exist. I've been hearing about poker for a long time but I don't know how to play it, but I have a cousin who competes nationwide here in my country and he has a manager who handles him.

But even so, I still didn't have an interest in something that I probably just didn't like to play. But when you say that there is rake that returns to the player, isn't it if there is a large amount of rake that comes back, it means that the amount used to play cryptop gambling is also a large amount.

Poker is unpopular but still, it is a very good game for tournaments most especially in a round where players battle against each other to win the prize, and we have a few cryptocurrency casinos that offer poker games, and one popular one among them is Betnomi, because, in time past, betnomi is the only casino that has organized poker tournaments here is the forum.

They have done that once or twice giving forum member the chance to battle for the prize and each time yahoo62278 have been their organizer, if I am not mistaken.
How is Poker unpopular? Poker is one of the most popular and widely played gambling games in the world, the top three most popular casino games are Slots, BlackJack, and Poker. So it is not really unpopular, it is just that some people might not like playing poker which basically has to do with them not being skilled in the game.

I myself am not a fan of Poker since I never played it and I don't understand it very well, even if I get to know how it is played, I won't be very skillful and will probably lose every game I participate in.

Yes correct.

Especially for like Player vs Player things, the main problem are the player. Partnership with Stake x Evo should no need to looking a player again since Stake have a lot user almost 20,000 online at the same time + Evo is favorite live-games.

It's nice, If they can build that.

If the news is true then that would be a really nice addition. There are no good poker games in world of crypto gambling and we only have the casino games and some other games that purely are for the lucky ones. If poker is added and basically a poker game similar to "Governor of Poker," then that would make the site more attractive. I will surely join it if the game looks and works similar to GOP because that would be more entertaining and not only gambling but a way of enjoyment as well.

There are some live poker games on some gambling sites, but I feel those aren't well-suited for every poker player. The sites does offer the live version and some people play poker in that style, but for me that takes away the control from the gambler and leaves it in the hands of the one who is arranging that live poker game.

Do not get your hopes up too high... Eddie promise new features and new gambling sites to people in restricted countries, every streaming session ...and it seldom happens.

He is creating content and these things might be in the planning phases, but nowhere ready for implementation. He even laugh at himself, when he makes promises like this... but let's see what happens.

Most of their budget goes into marketing and not into development of new features.... just look at the time that a new original game were last, launched.  Roll Eyes
I think there is a difference between a new game and a new feature.
A new original game doesn't bring new players, a new feature like poker would 100% do.

Besides poker and casino, poker would be the 3rd leg of the site. Other than the costs for development and hosting there is also no risk of losses in this area. Lean back and collect rake.

Also, he didn't laugh or whatever when he spoke about it. He actually sounded pretty serious.
Of course it does. Original game is new in the eye of the gamblers so they will get curious to try it and who knows? They might like it and it can now be one of their favorite games. Poker is not a feature but it's called a game. One example of feature is the chatbox or the notification bell. A new feature can excite a gambler and it can enhance their existing experience so it is helpful too if the casino will came up with it.

Stake is a big casino so don't worry about the development and hosting fees. They can surely afford these. It seems clear to me that this was a stand alone poker game or category, just like sports betting. It made sense since I know there are already several poker games on Stake.

Absolutely, this is smashing news! Adding poker to Stake is definitely gonna spice things up and could bring in more punters. Plus, let's not forget the tidy sum the company could net from the raked pots. You made a cracking point about whether Stake will build its own poker software or hook up with an existing network. Doing it themselves means they hold all the cards on game mechanics, rake policies, and crucially, they can stick to their current KYC standards. But this could also pile pressure on their development team and might mean fewer players around in quieter hours.

On the other hand, if they buddy up with a well-established poker network, Stake could instantly tap into a wider bunch of players and a battle-hardened software solution. But this could also mean stricter KYC checks, which might scare off some users. It's a real balancing act, for sure. And I'm totally with you on game variety. More options could make Stake a lot more engaging and could cater to the different abilities and tastes of players. Here's hoping they take players' feedback onboard!
