This will be an amazing idea if they will partner on evolution gaming since it will be in live poker table and dealer while we are playing virtually at home. The only problem was evolution gaming doesn’t have any games offered that is pure PVP skill based game. They have poker but it’s always player against the house.

But if Stake manage to provide a live poker table which player can play against each other with live dealer on table then this is the best poker table so far on online casino since it gives the experience of playing on real table.

Well building an entire ecosystem of poker network is pretty much the same as building an entire casino from the scratch. Exactly, but there is a possibility they will create their own network if we look at the fact Stake was also created from the scratch while basically they can modify/improve Primedice but they decided to create/build a new casino. Cooperating with existing network has a big benefit as well because there is at least player base already in the existing network. Lets see how it goes. However what I'm afraid is that if Stake add the poker in their current website, it will make the site become slower unless they also do a big upgrade in the current website.

The poker series started out on SwC and was 1st organized by efialtis. After SwC series we ended up moving to Betnomi where I organized 2 series and icopress organized a 3rd.

I wouldn't say poker is unpopular as much as I would say most on here are not experienced enough to put their money into it.

This is good news in a way since this is coming from one of the most popular and reputable casinos we have around and also let's see how the development will go and how interesting the game will be at stake, but I am sure we are going to have some good time having poker on stake.

I think that's a great idea. They basically get risk free money through collecting the rake. Having a super big player base this would be a HUGE opportunity for stake and for their players.

For people with skill at poker that might become a lucrative site. Many degen gamblers that just lost with casino games and sports might "try their luck" at poker, fishing time. Grin

Question is though, will they make their own poker software/network where only stake players will be able to play or will they join a network like ipoker, ggpoker, 888 and so on.
My best guess that they will keep it in house because KYC is not mandatory. Some abusers might want to run up some amounts on sports/casino and the chip dump it to somebody on a different site through shared network.

Anyway, I think it's a nice idea. Poker with crypto still is WAY too small.

Well this is a really nice move, I am not a great poker player but I do like it but for some reason poker has never enjoyed the popularity in this market that it deserves, now one of the biggest casinos we have is setting their sights on poker, if they are doing so then we can speculate that this is the case because they are seeing the opportunity to position themselves as the leaders of the poker market of cryptocurrencies without too much of a problem, I hope they are right as it would be great that poker became popular and I could play at any time and there were some poker tables available to do so.

Well, the owners and the management usually don't lie about such things, they just give out updates when they have actually planned something, it is just that it is not easy to implement everything so quickly and they usually go for one thing at a time and users start thinking that they are doing nothing but that is not the reality.

I've worked with cryptocurrency projects in the past and I know how it goes. The team does its best to bring new features and products for their users but it just takes time and most users are not patient enough.
