Why everyone is just guessing and no one tells the full story?

Thousands of Stake players in chat saw publicly, how poorbot freaked out after rumors about tips being removed, and ripped whole his balance in rage bets. Thousands of dollars were just gambled away, without even waiting for an official announcement from Stake. And then owner simply disappeared, without even a word here or anywhere, while users kept sending tips to him.

Damn, that's a tough story.
I also read it in the chat but I actually didn't even know about poorbot, just used the other one in the past.
It's such a strange behaviour over news that haven't even been set in place yet. And yeah, as we all know now stake made a u-turn to not ban tipping.
But why would they rage bet the funds away when they could just withdraw them, doesn't make any sense.

We had no idea about this incidence. I believe most of us don't follow the chat of Stake everyday. Thank you for telling the story here. The decision of tip removal was taken on the 25th of May. I just checked the race history of Poorbot account and found that he got the 111th rank in the daily race of 27th May.

So, it is clear that Poorbot account has wagered a lot after the announcement of tip removal. I'm wondering why users are still sending tips to him while he is showing 'unavailable' message on the website.

I have not heard about that story until I read the post by lupandina, I'm shocked to be honest to hear about it.
It seems that the owner of poorbot was frustated when he heard Eddie say about the removal of the tipping feature which make him did something really bad.
Did poorbot lost everything in his account balance including all tips sent to him?
Can we say that poorbot exit scam now as poorbot did not clarify anything here about that story as informed by lupandina.
I haven't looked yet, but if some valid scam accusations pop up then yes we could say exit scam. Until we see people complaining they lost money with proof, no one should consider tagging more than a neutral for a warning.

I was flooded with messages that day. Some were sending screenshots with his 2-4k usd loosing bets, some were asking for help to contact him, and some even pretended, they "accidentally" confused usernames, so maybe Dinabot could refund tips they sent to poorbot? Smiley

And also, seeing that they have removed the shutting down announcement on their website, and replaced it with "bot unavailable" simply means that they are probably preparing to bring the service back, maybe they have previous made the changes in the code of the bot because they thought the end has come, now, they have to fix those things back to how it was before or even better..
I believe it should not be that hard to roll back any changes to the code (if any). I doubt OP would delete all of them to stop the previous services from running, that would be naive. I'd not be surprised if everything is still intact. A front-end change gives too little info to tell what's going on behind the scenes anyway. So yeah, better wait for an announcement or visit their website regularly to see if an update has been made.

Yup Stake and Primedice has the same owner but it's crazy on why they prioritize Stake more than PD. I know Stake has lots of games and PD only have one but that is the reason on why they need to hype it up a bit for other people to appreciate it more.
Oh, the good ole' days with PD. They're prioritizing more stake because it has various promotions and more games compared to PD. Although what's good with primedice is that it has already has a set of loyal dicers out there. And yes, stake has more games so that's another reason.

BTW I noticed last time that Stake and PD have lowered their minimum withdraws, so IMO there is no need for a feature like Poorbot anymore.
Did they? that's good to know when it's been such a long time since I have paid a visit there.

Poorbot team had taken the decision in a hurry mode. Now they have replaced the "Poorbot is shutting down" message with "Poorbot is currently unavailable". Because Eddie has put the tip removal decision on hold. He has said something about this during the weekly stream of yesterday. Perhaps, Poorbot will be back again with their exchanger services on Stake.

Sounds like a prank from Eddie Smiley, I checked the other 3rd party exchange service at Stake (dinabot), they did not make any announcement in there telegram channel. I cant even find any post related to Eddie's previous statement when he said that the tipping feature will be removed. Dinabot is still posting discount code every day until today. By the way, poorbot was online few days ago but he did not make any post here unfortunately. Will poorbot continue providing the service or will poorbot stop their service completely?
If what Eddie said about Stake shutting down the Tipping feature has been put on hold as you said, I personally believe that poorbot will definitely resume their services, I mean what was the whole trouble for by the way? It's just a few months the started providing the exchange service for Stake users, them shutting down now when they now have the opportunity once again to keep serving their customers won't be a good idea if you ask me.

So, lets wait for their announcement.

Thanks, I didnt ask about exchanges or 3rd party services like poorbot, and Primedice is not that interesting to me.
I asked other members if they know about any other crypto casinos that have option to tip other members or send coins between accounts.
It's Primedice if they did not stop their tip feature like Stake. I don't know what happened on Primedice but possibly they stop tipping feature too, similar like what they did with Stake because with same owner team, it's difficult to think they will have different decisions on two platforms they are operating.

Why Stake stop it?
Abuse on their platform and affect their business profit or AML?
According on what he said, it seems he already know that Primedice has that feature but as he said, he didn't like it. By the word "he didn't like it" I think he is referring mainly in the game because they only have one game in there and it was dice. He might be new in the gambling scene or in the crypto world because if you are an OG here, you will appreciate how good this game was.

Have you ever heard of shuffle.com? DM me your username there. I'll send you a tip for checking out.
I heard about this casino in bitcointalk but I dont remember creating account until now.
DM will be sent in few minutes, and I will test how everything is working later.

Though, if this ceasing of operations by poorbot on Stake is due to regulatory reasons, then unfortunately it could be matter of time before other big and reoutable casinos with a high volume of gamblers could be forced to give up on their tilling feature as well.
Stake never explained why they are removing tips and I dont know why this would be against any regulations.

The tipping feature is same in most of those casinos. But Poorbot won't be able run their service on a casino if they just wish to do it. They have to take permission from the casino owner. Then the most important thing is the API access to run this process smoothly. It could be a difficult task for them. Anyway, I have sent an email to Poorbot team by asking them to give an update here about their final decision.
I dont know how this bots work but I think this would be beneficial both for casino, poorbot and customers.

It is quite surprising that Poorbot team has instantly taken the action after knowing the decision of Eddie. They could have operated until Stake team removed the tipping feature permanently.
They know what's coming and that's probably why he had to remove it before it was officially removed.

I think it was better if there was a coordination about it and it will be officially a feature of stake per se.

Anyway, it's stake's platform and they have no choice but to just adhere to the decision of stake's management.

Possible that they might appear somewhere else after this that has also a tipping feature.

That is more casinos than I expected to see, but I think they all have different tipping systems.
It is good idea for Poorbot to try and find good replacement for Stake, and I think Roobet has very nice reputation in bitcointalk forum, they could be the best candidate.

That's the main challenge for poorbot and other similar service, because the permission may not be granted by the casino as the casino need to think about many things in order to accept it or not.
Now the decision is on poorbot's hands, whether they want to continue their services or not.
If they wish, of course they need to contact all the possible/potential casinos in order to provide their services.
Maybe shuffle can be one of the casinos to contact because when the 1st SHFL airdrop happened, many users try to exchange it to other coins and there were few users who want to do it.

There are a few more well-known and established casinos with the tip feature. They are BetFury, Bitsler, Bitvest, CryptoGames, DuckDice, Duelbits, Gamdom, Jacksclub, Roobet, TrustDice, WinDice, WolfBet, etc. Poorbot team should try to bring their exchanger on other casinos without closing it completely.

This case with stske does not do anything but create a precedent for the future to come to big casinos which use Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.
To me It does not make sense why the administrator of a casino on the internet would suppress a function which is very popular and taken from granted, unless there is pressure from external actors to do so.

I hope Stake will re-imolement the tipping feature in the future, instead this leading to the disappareance of the feature on the gambling ecosystem

The tip feature is a perfect option, but all these bots and other features could be misused, so average users who like it can't use this option.
