Just another random pre satoshi crypto freak
I agree. cannot say it better. I have full believe in them. in the long run, those who hold will get huge appreciation.

There is literally 0% chance of ETN to be a scam. There is no point in them doing anything if it was scam. But they are still going forward. You could claim they were a bit incompetent with the release, but even that was just bad luck and only 1 mistake. And lastly, the only reason we are facing a longer delay is because they want to be more sincere and give the best product which is a commendable thing for them to do.

Now, whether it releases Dec 1 or Nov 1 shouldn't make a difference in long term and especially if you wanted to hodl. I know a lot people got upset about the fact that cryptopia price is so high and they feel like they missed their chance to sell. But the fact is that if all the wallets got released on Nov 1 then cryptopia price wouldve never risen to that high to begin with.

Lastly, this is just my personal advice: which is to hodl. Anybody who wants to sell obviously can but it really doesnt make sense to participate in an ICO for a quick flip. ICO is not the place for quick flip. ICO is for hodl so that you can make tremendous gain in the future and one should only invest in ICO if they actually believe in the product. So release date is irrelevant in that case (albeit a bit inconvenient).

FYI I'm an investor myself and on the same boat as all of you.

Thats my 2cents.

Thanks

I hear some say that the hasty release of ETN without the release of investors fund and mobile miner was deliberate, so to allow the devs get into early bird mining to scoope and dump this gold coin for much gain. Could this be true?

Still patiently waiting for the day they launch the coin miner. Darn those hackers! The project has so much promise it would be a shame if they shut it down due to hacking.
its just a delay and nothing more Wink
Yeah. I am confident they can work around those hackers but it's really frustrating knowing that a lot of time and resources are wasted just because some very smart people are trying to steal people's honest money.

None of this makes sense. If they cloned the monero code(and don't say they didn't), how could there be such a risk. Why would they even allow you to create a weak password? The only threat would be the app but since it's fake mining and does not connect to the actual block chain. It can't effect the real coin. the devs have a hard limit on what you can earn anyway.

There is no problem with the coins code... the problem lies with the Electroneum platform that is currently holding all ICO coins. Picture an exchange like Bittrex with users funds under risk of getting hacked.. not the coins prob but the platforms prob. Same scenario.. same workaround .. Electroneum needs to have top notch security just like a crypto exchange. And since they did so well in the ICO, they would obviously be a target. When shitcoins don't get hacked its because they are shitcoins Wink

I created a gui wallet based on the sumokoin wallet:

reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Electroneum/comments/7ca8qw/electroneum_gui_wallet_pythonwin64/
github: https://github.com/XzenTorXz/ElectroneumGUIWallet/releases

When creating an adress from the wallet you cant recover it with the mnemonic seed! But you can use the wallet-files from the data/wallet/*.bin in the regular wallet-cli if you want to.

Cred the devs! wtf

WOW!

You have literally done more than the whole Electroneum development team since the coin was launched 12 days ago!

Great job! Thank you!

So, 1 person did what the whole etn team could not do ? This speaks of the man capabilities or the etn team capabilities, or both ?

There is a huge difference between creating a gui wallet and releasing a password protected wallet that contains the investors funds. They of course have a wallet ready, they just did not want to release the wallets until they are secure. Too many people using weak passwords does not help the matter.

There would be far more drama and anger if they did release the wallets and ICO funds, and they got stolen or lost. I don't want my own investment compromised because a few others can't wait. Whatever the case, we all have to wait, nothing more to it than that. We already have working wallets, nice to have a gui option too though.

Hello Electroneum Fans !

If you want to take a glimpse at the coin your dev forked the wallet from, check out my sig  Grin

@Electroneum dev: Since you forked the Sumokoin wallet, I think it is legit to talk about Sumokoin here from time to time  Wink

apperently I did something wrong. What is the right way to appreciate sumokoin. It's not a secret it is a fork of the somokoin wallet. I wrote here, in reddit and on github that is based on the somokoin wallet (always the first sententce). I know these guys did the main work. And I choose the wallet because its a very nice wallet! What am I supposed to do ? to write it is a fork?

And Im not a dev of Electroneum, I was just tired waiting.

You did nothing wrong, Sumokoin's gui wallet code is free source. Actually we are happy that you chose our wallet to fork, you must give though the appropriate credit to Sumokoin devs. This way afterwards you ll have every right to ask for their help if something goes wrong with your fork.

how do I give the "appropriate credit", sorry this is my first fork.

You have given it already by discussing it  Wink. All the best with your fork dont hesitate to ask Sumokoin's devs for any support you might need.

You have forked SUMOKOIN'S GUI Wallet. It is open source of course but at least mention where you got it from and credit the developers.
