What 'Pivot' Really Means | Inc.com
https://www.inc.com/alan-spoon/what-pivot-really-means.html
10 Aug 2012 - “Pivoting” is a familiar word in the startup world. When your first business model isn't working (and this happens more often than not), the CEO and team pivot to plan B. These are deep breath moments! But pivoting doesn't necessarily mean desperation.

Companies that don't pivot die!!!!!!!!!!!!

A more funny version :-)

Big corporations are going to require KYC.

If we are going to do business with these large corporations, we need KYC.

Thats just the way it is.

KYC is will be part of any coin that is going to be accepted as payment on a mass scale.

This is why ETN moved away from the "privacy" niche, and stripped away some of the privacy related features that were originally there when we forked Monero

Enough with the "mass scale" "mass adoption" BS. If you cant make up your minds and decide whats your goal then you wont get anywhere. You people have changed your objectives so many times before. First you advertised this as a gaming coin, then a privacy coin, now a KYC coin, whats going to be next? a porn coin like verge?. Make up your darn minds!! Mass adoption wont come after KYC. Yeah, sign all deals you want with all "big corporations" you want, you still dont get it: PEOPLE DONT LIKE FILLING KYC TO USE CRYPTO!!!. Period!. No mass adoption is ever going to happen to any crypto coin that needs KYC to be used.

I understand if you fill a KYC for an ICO, but just to be able to use the coin? thats BS.

PS: Uninstalling my ETN app from my mobile as we speak.
PS2: Time to move to Phoneum instead.

Then there was no any need to build this thing on monero and use POW and mining.
You could be creating  ETN as erc-20 token or make a token on any other
block chain platform.

Exactly to the point. They wouldn't need to use token protocols at all. They could just "mint" the coin and airdrop it to mobile miners.

No we are not going to be dependant on another project/platform

Do we really have a problem at the moment and do we really need another feature ?

I think people get too attached to a particular coin/approach and that this is a big difference with ETN.  Richard has already mentioned that in the future we could change the Blockchain if required.  Blockchain technology is in it's infancy and there are newer and better Blockchain's coming along. Monero is a sound Blockchain and it meet's the ETN needs for the moment.

save time wasted on reinventing hot water!

Last night I logged in to my account to move coins but couldn't access anymore. It was said your account is being migrated to instant payment which doesn't seem normal.

Same. Even though the ETN blockchain works, I am not able to move my coins due to maintenance of their centralised wallet  Angry

In some cases, virtual securities are shares and give right to vote for investment initiatives in the organization or making its own proposals for consideration of assets.

I read that we can fall to 1 satosh? is it really that bad with this coin
I do not believe that now I personally. But as we know in this market everything is possible and anything can happen.

This forced KYC requirement isn't going to bring good to project. Last night I logged in to my account to move coins but couldn't access anymore. It was said your account is being migrated to instant payment which doesn't seem normal. They could allow people to use the way they want before the KYC starts. Now it is like forced and obligation for everyone which will bring distrust to the project.

Do any of you guys with X3's have trouble keeping your hash rate up? I connect to any pool, it hashes fine for a while then I lose hash rate until its at zero, I then have to reboot my X3's to get it back up again .

 Sad

your X3 is now a brick,  it's simple.

I have no X3 specific but I have been mining for some time.  I suspect there is either a heating issues or power issue.  I would go for the former issues first and check the external fan/s.  Can you re-position the X3 in a cool spot to prove the theory.  If it is a heat issue then you will need to move into the next stage.  Hope this helps!

That is true this sudden move on KYC has created fear and disappointment in ETN holders. This makes no sense to introduce KYC at this stage this way. I do agree that crypto is for freedom and maximum privacy and lot of people will leave the project. One way can be to introduce KYC for those who want to make instant payments but those holders should be exempted from this requirement.

I disagree. People are happy go lucky leaving their personal info everywhere. And they looove taking selfies too. How do you think FB affair happened? It wil be fine Smiley

This good thing about this forum is that you can speak your mind.  I am a firm believer that if you don't like something then you should leave.

Yeah, good thing ETN mods cant control this forum, otherwise we would be banned for saying the smallest criticism. Try saying what I said in the ETN Telegram channel, you wouldnt last 5 minutes before getting banned.
