Damn, I checked on result Flashscore just just few minutes before the end when Braga was still leading and was sure that I won my bet already. You're right, that's typical Braga and this is why they're always out of Top 3, not even talking about winning league. And now they're already 7 points behind Sporting.
Porto also ruined my acca few days ago. It's big upset, but after all, it's their city derby and surprises like this sometimes happens in derbies.

It seems to me that Porto need to change coaches, they were the first to score a goal in the 23rd minute and it really looked like they were going to win this game easily, but the opponent tied in the 28th minute, I even thought that Porto would be able to score more goals and I would win that game until the game ended in a draw and I was shocked to have lost a bet in which in this bet I saw the Porto game as being the safest, because Boavista is going through bad times, they are the last ones games they were unable to win any game, but they still managed to draw a draw in that game against Porto, which they were supposed to win easily.

Porto needs to start thinking that their problem needs to be solved, either the problem is with the coach or the problem is with the signings that are not being effective. But something needs to be done to fix these problems. Benfica, which is always Porto's main opponent in the fight for the title, managed to win the game, it was an easy game for Benfica as they managed to score 3 goals and didn't concede any goals, with this victory Benfica remains in second place and is 5 points advantage over Porto, it seems to me that this season the fight will be beneficial against Sporting and knowing that Sporting is a team that at the end of the league starts to make mistakes, they are very similar to Arsenal, so I see the Benfica being champion

Well they won't be in 3rd place anymore since the game ended in a draw. Vitória de Guimarães got a late equalizer in the 98th minute which is hard to believe because I had expected Braga to put this one to bed and keep it under wraps. The fact that Braga can't win  games like this is the reason why they haven't won Liga Portugal.



Well, there goes my bet for today. Benfica delivered in the acca only for Braga to lose it all for me with that draw. I will have to go again.

I didn't see this coming! I mean statistically and practically FC Porto are way better and taking fewer goals. In that game they were better but Biavista concentrated in a successful attack and won a point.


Braga are third right now after FC Porto draw and since the result is in their favour for the moment. Only extra time left to be played.

Benfica travel to Arouca.Arouca, who haven't lost for 5 weeks, will most probably lose this streak today.I expect Benfica to come away with a win in this away game.Even if they struggle a bit, I think they will at least win.Benfica already have a heavy advantage in the matches played between the 2 teams.
The most important and enjoyable match of the day will be the one between Braga and Guimaraes.These 2 teams are doing well this season and are only 3 points apart.Although Braga are the home favorites, it is important to remember that Guimaraes will have a chance to win on the road.Guimaraes is not a team to be taken lightly, having beaten Sporting Lisbon 3-2 at home 3 weeks ago.

But I think Braga will be favorites at home and  both teams will score, the game will be a high scoring match. I think Braga will win the match and finish in the top three in the league table.

Porto failed to win, and ended up drawing 1-1 with Boavista. It seems that this time they didn't have that luck of scoring the winning goal in the 90+8 minute.

If Braga beat Guimarães tomorrow, they will have the same points as Porto. And Porto is already 5 points away from first, and with the disadvantage of direct confrontation with the two opponents in front of them.

Sporting CP's win was expected, they did it with 5 goals. They play different this season, just like how champions play. There are still 18 games but so far they are the best team in Portugal and if they keep that form they should be the champion.
Gyökeres didn't score this time but made 4 assists. He's an incredible player. I wonder how Sporting keep him, transfer market will be hard for them. I expect major clubs to sign him soon. I've already heard Chelsea is interested since Osimhen stays in Napoli. I believe he would fit better than Osimhen in Chelsea.

Well you were right about Estoril scoring a goal but Sporting destroyed them by 5 goals before that goal!
Sporting made a lot of opportunities at the opposite of the other teams. They are doing very well in Liga Portugal but their weakest point remains the goals that their defence line keep letting enter!


I expect FC Porto victory too, I don't know if Boavista will be able to score or not. Until now, 20 minutes after the starting of the match, they didn't reach the goalkeeper.

In the Portuguese league, there are teams with higher impacts in the league games and European contests too. Benfica, Sporting, Porto are most impactful in this regard. For Porto, they're doing well in the league and also have good performance records in the UCL too. Same applies for Benfica and Sporting who's got their own record in the EPL too. Sporting were able to win their game confidently yesterday as well as Porto which signifies an improvement to their performances in the league.

 Although a lesser performance wasn't expected from them though but they're definitely a stable team in the league. The league seems less competitive though as there are still weeks left and just these 3teams are making good wave in the league. Over the years it's still these three that have been the most talked about because of the feats they've attained. One would be so sure to bet on these teams and their ability to keep progressing in points in their league games.

I started betting on the Portuguese league for exactly that reason. The top 3 teams in Portugal are much stronger than the rest and you could even include Braga and make it a TOP 4

My strategy is to place multiple bets whenever possible
When there are classics or a match between the top 4 and a team that is doing very well in 5th or 6th I avoid it, but most of the time they win
Last year I started a little before the middle of the championship
This year I started along with the championship and lost some bets because there were some surprising results

If you look at the Head 2 Head records, Sporting CP is definitely at the top and will be the favorite in this match, especially since Sporting CP is in much better performance when compared to Estoril. So I am quite confident that Sporting CP can beat Estoril even though with a thin score because Sporting CP doesn't want to lose its place in first place and wants to try to widen the gap with Porto and Benfica because the competition in the top 3 clubs is still very fierce until now because this match takes place at home so I think Sporting CP will be very profitable.

In the Boavista vs Porto match, I think Porto will also win because Boavista has been in bad condition in the last few matches Boavista has not won. Meanwhile, this match is quite tough for Boavista if they win even though they are playing at home. I'm not sure they can beat Porto with their condition at the moment.

Sporting CP Vs Estoril
Starting this year, today Sporting CP against face Estoril in the Portugal Primeira Liga. Estoril are in great form and have been scoring a lot of goals recently. Sporting CP will rely on their top form and confidence to secure victory. Home ground advantage could be in store for Sporting CP to get the three points and maintain their lead at the top of the table. The match looks set to be a fight with both teams in good form. I think Sporting CP will win 2-1.


Boavista FC Vs FC Porto
Boavista FC will need to put in a strong defensive performance to have any chance of getting a result against FC Porto, especially with them missing at the back. FC Porto's recent form and history at the Estadio do Bessa make them clear favorites for this match.
I think the match will go to Porto. My prediction is Porto to beat Boavista 3-1.

The game that should be most interesting will be Braga vs Vit. Guimaraes. In addition to being two very rival clubs - very much so, both teams are playing very well. So it should be a really interesting game to watch.

Sounds like a lot of money to be made if we place a parlay with the top 4 teams of the Liga Portugal,if we want to be sure we can go with the top 3 including Benfica,Porto and Sporting leaving aside Boavista as it is not a team to be trusted,it has shown this to many times playing both in Liga Portugal and European competitions,maybe that is their best they can do but I do not trust them.

I doubt Benfica is going to make another mistake like those two draws which gave Sporting the lead.I doubt now even Sporting or Porto will be making mistakes,so overall in my opinion the Liga Portugal is a golden mine for betting here if we stick to the top three teams.

The top four teams in this league have an impact in the league's projection as their level of performance have helped them stand a chance with other teams in the European contest. This is actually the biggest competition in the continent and not all teams stand a chance to compete, only the top performing teams.

 Benfica, Sporting and Porto are teams under the Portuguese umbrella that have over the years been able to prove themselves worthy to still always compete in the European contests. The whole scenario isn't about to change yet though as currently they're still standing top in the league and have made good impacts already in this season UCL and UEL too. And I believe the winner of this season's tournament would be any of those three mentioned.

If we look closely, it's not that much less competitive than other European championships. Apart from England, which always has 5 or 6 candidates for the title, the winners in the other countries are almost always the same.

In Germany, Bayer has won for almost 10 years in a row - zero competition.
In Spain, only two teams win championships, Real and Barceloa - Atletico Matrid tries their luck there but fails.
In France, it's just PSG, and every now and then, another club appears there.
In Italy things are now a little more divided, perhaps there is greater competition at the moment, but about 5 years ago it was only Juventus.

Therefore, Portugal is not that different than other European championships.

Look at the top four teams of the Portuguese league, they are a team that can compete with most teams in Europe. I especially like Benfica in recent years. Even though they are in second place in the league this year, there is only a 1 point difference between them and the leader. I can say that as good as the top tier teams are in Portugal, the middle tier teams are almost unheard of. The league is enjoyable because there is competition between four teams. The Portuguese also constitute an important player market in Europe.

The breaks are shortened because these clubs have potentials of reaching important stages which we will not even expects. There are golden opportunities available in all these tournaments played, just be on the winning team. The UEFA Champions League is a league were we watch these elite teams in different leagues divisons comes out to showcased their strength. Portuguese clubs have to belt up if they keep in mind to win the UCL title because that would become big significance for their league and also their players. Portuguese league is just comparable to other European leagues because they're Europe teams.
