I also thought about doing a multi bet with Porto, Sporting and Benfica. But my biggest fear is putting Benfica in, because they haven't been strong when playing away from home, and their opponent, Casa Pia, has had good results. In the last 5 games they haven't lost a single game. Casa Pia has gone 7 games without losing at home. It's true that when Benfica played against Casa Pia, they won by 3 goals to 0. But Benfica was playing at home. I'm still going to think more about whether or not to risk this multi bet.

You're right Slow death
I was reading some news about the championship and they were talking about Casa Pia's good phase
It's really something to take into account, and I would add that in the last five games, Casa Pia has won the most points in the Portuguese championship
Just look at the last 5 matches, the team scored 13 points:

But I believe it still won't be enough to beat Benfica, let's see in a few hours

For tomorrow's games I'm only going to place 1 multiple bet

Benfica, Porto and Sporting win with 2.27 odds
I hope I don't regret it, because all 3 teams have simply lost their last games in European competition  Sad

Yeah, now there is 3 big teams and even Braga is quite far behind them as it doesn't happens often that they would achieve positive result playing with big 3
It would be great if some mad man with deep pockets would invest into some smaller club, but it's not going to happen as this league isn't very attractive for investment.

Unfortunately it seems that this season the Portuguese teams are a little below their usual level
It looks like an atypical season in Portugal,
Maybe there's a lack of investment like you said
It's hard to compete with the money of Spain, England and Germany

I've said it a few times, but I think it would be good for the Portuguese league if there were stronger teams besides Sporting, Benfica and Porto
Of course there's Braga as Portugal's fourth team, but a few games like yesterday's show the absurd difference between the teams

I underestimated Gil Vicente and lost the bet
Porto have now lost 3 games in a row, 2 in the League and 1 in the Taça da Liga
And they have a tough game against Olympiacos in 3 days' time, and it would be good to win so as not to be in a bad position in Europe League

I just saw this news, Porto fired Vitor Bruno (coach) after the loss
What you think guys? Fair with the coach?

I didn't understimated Gil Vicente, but still expected to see Porto win, something like 1:2. Watched game and things just weren't going as they planned for Porto. It looked that draw is best what they can get from this game.
I haven't made strong opinion about Bruno, so, I'm not sure it's good or bad decision. Situation in league still isn't terrible, just 4 points behind Benfica, so, you still can save this season.

Half of my bet is correct, now I have to wait for Porto and Braga to win  Cheesy

Braga won, but Porto lose. Porto fans here in my country are very angry

Tomorrow Porto is playing away game with Gil Vicente, it shouldn't be easy.

Big weekend in the Portuguese league, all big three played match this weekend and there is now a difference in among the title contenders. Sporting got a good winning, as they beat Rio Ave away from home 0-3. It was an easy win for them, well I must say, with their poor run in recent games, I was expecting them to struggle but they got an easy win with viktor Gyokeres scoring again.

Benfica played on Friday, as expected an easy win and that was it, they cruise pass Famalicao with good 4 goals, with 2 goals scored in both halves. They are still keeping pressure on sporting. They really played well and I would probably say they should have scored more because they created lot of chances.

Porto failed to win this weekend and it a big blow in their race for the title. I knew it was going to be a difficult match. Gil Vicente are a very good side especially why they play at home, they defend so well too. Porto lost 3-1 and they are now 4 points behind sporting. The race for this title is so much tough already and no team can afford to lose a match at this point.

Benfica 4 - 0 Farmalicao

Farmalicao's defense was very good in this game against Benfica. In my opinion, Benfica could have scored much more than 4 goals. They wasted many clear opportunities. At least they could have scored 7 goals if Benfica's attackers had been more focused when they were close to the opposing goalkeeper.
You probably mean it wasn't very good. Yeah, yesterday Benfica were able to do everything what they want. Can't remember Famalalicao making any shots on target. They're mid table team, but yesterday they looked more like team from lowere division.
Very similar things can be said about Sporting game with Rio Ave. It was one sided action.
Tomorrow Porto is playing away game with Gil Vicente, it shouldn't be easy.

Thanks for correcting me and you were right about the Porto game, it wasn't an easy game and to make matters worse Porto lose in a game in which they conceded 3 goals and only scored 1 goal and had 2 players with a red card. This season all the big teams are unstable, betting on Porto, Benfica and Sporting games against weak teams or teams that are not in the top 4 does not give you the same guarantees of safety as a few years ago.

One point to take into consideration is that Di Maria will not play because he is injured.
Despite this, I believe that Benfica has the conditions to win the game. In fact, they really need to win to continue fighting for first place.

The last round (matchday 17) of the first half of the championship has ended for all teams. It was a round with some surprises. Where Porto and Benfica lost and Sporting drew.

I think this is a good round to take a gamble on the wins of the top three, and maybe even include a Braga win in that bet as well

The odds for the victories of the top 3 are 2.09
If you include Braga's win, it's 3.50 and becomes a good bet

I think I'll go for a Braga win away from home and hope the other teams don't disappoint again

Is anyone here following the Portuguese Cup?
Yesterday Benfica beat Farense 3-1 and qualified for the quarter-finals
Today Braga face Lusitano and should probably win without difficulty
The odds for victory are 1.11, not even worth the risk/reward, maybe goals over 3.5, with 1.84 odds, but I don't think I'll take a chance on that one

Only Porto are out of the top four in Portugal at the moment  Tongue

I'm following it, Braga and Lusitano just have few minutes for their match today to start, the league they are playing today is Portugal cup Round 5, though Lusitano will not give in easily but Braga will win them, though even their odd that was a bit high before the starting of the match has been brought down because their are convinced of Braga wining today, after today they would be having another league match, I actually like the way they spread the matches because they are playing from one league to another unlike other league were a club will have up to 5 matches on the same league before playing another.

Yeah I follow the Portuguese cup too, but the thing is I don’t really love to gamble on them because of the odd, the odds aren’t really worth the risk and especially on their winnings, I sometimes try to add over to the winning and I mostly end up losing the bet. The odds looks more reasonable from the quarter finals and semi finals but then also risky.

For sure Braga is going to beat Lusitano, but the over 3.5 is not something I’m sure about. Braga is a good scoring side and I expect them to score 3 or more goals, the odd for over3.5 looks very reasonable and for sure it worth the risk. I didn’t remember to include them in my slip but since to did, Goodluck!! Will see to it after the match.

Congratulations to benfica on winning the league cup, they defeated the league leader sporting and it was not an easy win either, it was a win that had to be decided on penalties. 13 penalties were played before Trincao went on to miss for sporting. It was an interesting match overall, the full time ended in a 1-1 draw and they went straight to penalties with no extra time been played. Benfica took the early lead, before victor GyoBeReal equalized from the spot for sporting. Sporting had good chances to win the league cup but they failed to convert. Benfica also played well and had their chances too but also failed to convert, it a good thing they won at the end they would have regretted not converting those chances. Sporting really need to cling on the league now, it would be a very bad season if they end it without a trophy.
Sporting performed poorly yesterday in the final match and made the match end in draw and had to be resolved by penalty shootout which allowed Benfica to excel to win and be crowned as this year champion in the Portuguese League Cup.
Sporting performance has been declining slowly and if it continues like this it could make them lose the title this season because the Portuguese League Cup clearly Sporting failed and in the Portuguese League itself they are at the top of the standings but in less safe condition with very small point difference from Porto and Benfica.
Now Sporting only has two opportunities, namely the Portuguese League and also the Portuguese Cup if they want to win the title.

Sporting's season hasn't been easy at all  Tongue
The Taça da Liga wouldn't be such a problem, since both teams performed similarly and it was only decided on penalties, it's hard to say that Sporting played badly, to me both teams played at the same level, a great final

But Sporting is in a spiral of bad results that seems far from over
And to “help”, there are still 4 problems in the team: Bragança, Morita, Matheus Reis and Pedro Gonçalves are the current injured players

Rui Borges will have to get this team right in two or three games or the championship will be difficult
Sporting's luck is that Benfica and Porto have also lost games they don't normally lose in the league
