With the switch to posv, was/is there a provision/mechanism for some coin to be directed to Potcoin for basic overhead. I was never clear on this.

From my understanding they are sitting on a decent chunk of coins, this is where the 100k per merchant will come from for part of their promo and growth plans.

Classic example of time to buy... wow it's cheap on sale, might even go lower. I think at the beginning of next year this will pop. along with a lot of die hard cryptos.

Exactly. A time honored strategy for playing the stock markets from the long POV is to watch for the covers of financial magazines to plaster a bull or bear on their cover and then do the opposite. The idea is that by the time the masses have figured out that the bull or bear market is in full effect, its almost over and about to reverse course.

Be cautious when others are greedy and greedy when others are cautious.

nothing to say from anyone for 4 days now.. weird
Very weird indeed....

... listen 2 the music:

- it´s going down, down down
- this is the end, my friend

Take a look at the chart and the volume:

http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/pair/pot/btc/cryptsy/3-months

Take a look at the exchanges wallets:

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pot/#!wallets

... no more question left.

I´m very sorry.

If you believe in the future of a stock/commodity/whatever the TIME to be buying is when the world thinks its dead or close to it.

As for analytics, there is only so far it can slide before supply and demand cross paths, thats what is happening now.

I think its a good sign that despite the low volume the coin is sliding slowly rather than a sharp crash.
Winter is almost here so its time for me to get my scrypt hardware going again, I will likely have it mining at least 50% towards buying up potcoin, the other 50% is still TBD.

Do you guys think Potcoin's transition to Posv been pulled off successfully. Or are there more algo issues that still need attention?

The transition itself has been a success. The only issue we still face is the interest earned isn't what is advertised, I won't rehash why that is but that will be solved if/when we have more coins/address/wallets supporting the network. A week or so ago we were up to 33% of the coins actively staking, we have since dropped back down to sub 25%. We need a real push of some sort to get more people to run the wallet and fund it with a few coins to get the network rolling.

Anyone planning on attending:

If I lived close-by, I'd go......would definitely be great for networking / collaboration on adoption-related initiatives.

wallet does not sync since 7 days, but i dont know why

Really? You don't know why?
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.12539371
^That post says you solved the problem 4 days ago.

I would try deleting the peers.dat files and grabbing the latest bootstrap I put up here
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/YxHizWKs5ak5bLOL8nygfju1np7IepqDW2ERnsCtZvz?ref_=cd_share_link_copy
You can leave everything in place, the wallet will load the bootstrap and sync up with what it doesn't have.

yes i solved 1 problem with the connection, but now i have connection to the network, but the didn´t load the blocks

Like I said, try deleting the peers.dat file/s and put that bootstrap in the data folder. You might also see if you can set the MAC of your pc as a DMZ on your router.

Should we be concerned about Bittrex's notice of delisting POT?

https://www.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-POT

Yes and no. It would hurt my arbitrage, the bot I am using doesn't currently support cryptsy/polo has an option so I would lose POT as an arbitrage coin until a new version is released.
As for losing bittrex hurting POT? Not likely, in fact it may help it. If people with a ton of POT sitting idle or on the orderbooks pulled their coins from bitt they only have 2 places to go, either into another exchange or out to stake/sit in cold storage.

I have dedicated a copy of my arb bot to look for and take any arb opportunity with bittrex as an exchange no matter if its a loss for me or not. I would rather eat a small amount of trade fees than lose pot as an arb coin even if for a short while.

How are stake earnings if I open full node for this coin?

Depends on how much you have  Roll Eyes

Rate is 5-6% annually

That is the basic answer. The real answer is a bit more involved. Theoretically the stakerate should be about 20% with the # of coins actively staking, however we are currently earning less than expected due to not enough blocks of coins actively vying for blocks and driving the difficulty up. POSv2.0 was clearly not designed to account for staking with very little coin age and coin age is 1 of the factors that determines how much stake you earn for minting a block.
