Just launched and unlocked my wallet running the 5k "mod". I have 2 balances in this particular wallet, 21k+ and 100k+, it will likely split them both in half and keep doing so every time it stakes until we hit the 5k+ chunks.

I will leave it unlocked and staking for the next day or so, let the "splitter" do its thing.

Where is Potcoin accepted? only on the USA? it would be awsome to be able to use these ones on coffee shops at Amsterdam.

I think the focus will be on the usa to start, but you can work locally to bring people on board.

Working on SigVault v1.5. Keep coins on a separate platform at your house, not the exchange or your daily used computer. Less prone to viruses and can't be accessed from the outside (firewalled and no port forwarding). Will be upgrading the downloadable version found at http://sigwo.com soon. Ensuring the timed locking mechanisms work correctly. Let me know what you think Smiley

Also, [ulr]http://altnuts.com[/url] is multipooling POT as a payout coin!

Based on your test and the link you provided, YES, it will do what we want Smiley.
I let my addresses stake a few hours ago so I can't "test" this wallet until they mature, I will launch it sometime tomorrow and let it stake.

Great, I hope so! Smiley
I am currently testing it with a ~10K wallet before I try it on a much larger one.

I know some coins have "splitters" in them, were say if you deposit say 10K coins the first time it finds a pos block it gets split and now you have 3 blocks that can potentially find blocks 5k,5k and whatever the pos return is... and keeps splitting it down as the wallet continues to find blocks. it worked really well for 10k coin which had insanely high network weight at times before it was put to rest.

I recently added dopecoin to one of my assets portfolio, started with 1 chunk of 550k and now I have 128 chunks of 4300'ish.
The combine and split threshold work together to streamline the staking. It seeks to combine everything below a certain # and split when it can create 2*X.
I was going to show you a BTCD address from one of my assets, but I can't find an explorer that is easy to decode whats going on.

Potcoin 08.7.2 Windows wallet that reduce the max split from 2mil to 5K:

Potcoin-08.7.2-win32-5K.zip

This will break up your staking amounts from a max of 2mil to a max of 5K causing you to stake more often. It should NOT make you stake more coin over time but will help the network move along without having to divide coins manually into different addresses.

I personally think 5K is too small but like rdyoung said...it will kick the network into gear. We still need to determine a good value to use. Have 100K in mind at the moment.

Using the strikeout quote as my template when/if the new 5K wallet version is released.

Can someone take a look at this transaction and see if it is doing what we want?

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pot/block.dws?1007224.htm

It took the full amount (10K) and outputted it in 5K chunks (as designed) but still putting the whole 10k as staked. I do not think this is what we want as it is not increasing the number of stakes....just splitting the outputs into 5K chunks.

Yes, that is what we want. We want more chunks of coins trying to stake. It is working as designed, the split works just like the combine only in reverse. Look at my personal address from when staking started, here is the first stake for that address https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pot/tx.dws?2029474.htm
Notice that the total in and out are the same because it combined them, the split does the same thing.

Give me a DL link and I will start using it asap.
I still don't quite think it will work as we want but here is the download:

https://mega.nz/#!b8JnVawC!4gRb-cztKLcDtHiIOEFTg5iPo_iQynrGr51nptxM-aQ

Everyone else....please do NOT use this until rdyoung tests. Please do NOT hold me responsible for loosing coins if ANYTHING undesirable happens. This version simply changes the value of nStakeCombineThreshold from 2mil to 5K....to the best of my knowledge it is safe but I would hate to see anyone lose coin because of an oversight.

Like I said...I do not think it will do what we want but am making it available to test.

where's the dumpers/ I still have 1 btc to spend.  Wink

lol ya trex and cryptsy back up... and none of the bigg dumping evryone was worried about

I think the days the network wasn't moving and the exchanges being down acted to temper that potential dump. I am sure that if things had gone smoother we would have seen a decent and quick crash, but I doubt that will happen now. Keeping my buy orders in though, should probably look to play the swings as well.

Cryptsy pot wallet is back online. Everyone get to staking Smiley
improssburr !

Its true, I requested a withdrawal and got it and everything Smiley.
Now if bittrex would bring theirs back we can really rock and roll.

I just sent this NEW support ticket to Cryptsy -
I made a request for 50 pot coins that I DID get a pin code for withdraw. I clicked the link you sent in email and the 50 coins were deposited in my wallet. With that completed I made another request for a withdraw but I am NOT getting the email PIN code from you to proceed. I have click the SEND PIN CODE many times over the last 2 hours but no email and no error message. I logged out and back in (using the 2fa) and you do send the PIN to log in but then, not to withdraw.

Because of the wallet issues detailed in my last support ticket (#204383) Downloading 50 coins was a test of the system. I still want to withdraw the remaining balance of over 200k coins to my wallet. Please advise. Thank you for your time. -M

Is anyone else having this issue? Thanks! -M

I use a bot for all of my withdrawals Smiley
You shouldn't be receiving a pin # for the withdrawal, you give them the 2fa when you request and then you get the email with the link. If your getting a pin 2 your email to login, you might as well turn off 2fa. Authy has both mobile and chrome apps to generate your 2fa code.
Update from Cryptsy Support -

Hello -M,  Email 2FA is no longer considered to be a secure form of 2FA and we highly recommend that you cancel your email 2FA and enable SMS, Google Authenticator, or Authy.
If you require assistance in changing your 2FA, please contact us or reply to this ticket and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you.
Sincerely,  Stephanie  Cryptsy.com

Maybe I've been awake too long today but I am not understanding - I logged in this morn (using email 2fa) and I withdrew 50 pot. The withdraw screen requested I click the link to receive a another PIN. I did. Cryptsy sent the PIN which I copied into box and click "process withdraw". Within moments I got an email with a link that I clicked and got 50 coins sent to my wallet. It was a test and worked fine.
10 minutes later and I was still logged in when I made the second request and again I got the withdraw screen same as the first - (see http://www.ac904.com) requesting another PIN. Again I click on the link and I got the message that a PIN has been sent but it never arrives.

I'll do what ever they want to get my coins out but I drove all night and can hardly pay attention - not the time for me to be figuring it out. Just wanted to post Cryptsy's andser - now I have to sleep. Thanks everyone. -M

Edit: The site ac904 is my server - no ads no tricks just a jpeg don't worry.

It sounds like they have deprecated the email 2fa as its not secure. If someone gets access to your email they then have access to your account, change the password, etc.
This might be why the emails aren't showing up or are being delayed, because they aren't supporting it to keep it functioning properly. As support suggested I would disable the email 2fa and setup with authy or google authenticator, authy has android and chrome apps. I have had no issues making withdrawals via standard 2fa when I need to.

I'v transferred 750k in 50k incriments from Cryptsy to my Pot Wallet so far this morning with no issues. Should be a landslide of deposits by day end.

yep, no maintenance. oh sweet! I hope all the action doesn't break anything.  Smiley

edit: im not getting my email confirmation. arrr

This is why I add addresses to the trusted list and use a bot for the withdrawals Smiley

hmm? well i'm actually still in "buy" mode so no biggie.  Cool

Use the bot for buys as well Smiley.
The bot I am using, quatloo trader, currently needs you to hold 1k qtl to unlock basic functions but its worth it for basic buy/sell without the need to use their bloated site.
