I agree, Cryptsy will actually hurt the price. I have watched new coins come on board, they spike in price for about a day, then they slowly drop over the weeks and months. There are a few pump/dumps along the way but the trend is usually down. Stay away from Cryptsy.
I'm sorry guys but we probably need Cryptsy. The only other exchange that has any significant alt coin volume is btc-e and potcoin isn't going to get listed there. Getting listed on Cryptsy is still premature, but at some point if this coin is successful it will get listed on Cryptsy whether we all want it to or not.
The developers did say they were going to start their own market/trading later. I only wonder how they will do this to stabilize the price when the other markets have the coin listed also.
This coin will grow itself guys just do your best too get it out there the more people the better it is.. The exchange devoted for potcoin will be great just stay true stay together and grow like a plant should!!!!
Go get someone new too accept or buy potcoin everyone can do our part here

Instead of sucking up to Big Vern and Cryptsy for a POT listing (or wasting your time playing GTA or whatever), spend some time and Google cannabis/hemp/pot-related businesses online and send them a message promoting POTCOIN.

Fuck Big Vern and Cryptsy. Don't waste any (more) time trying to convince them to list POT. They must have a stick up their ass with regard to the coin being "drug-related" or some shit like that, so fuck them. We don't and won't need them anyway. They can kiss our collective ass.

Cryptsy isn't likely to happen soon. They get bombarded with requests for coins daily, so usually only older coins with truly stable networks are considered. (unless of course you convince BigVern's wallet to add it sooner...).
With the official "world" launch of potcoin supposedly happening 4/20/14 according to the developer, I think we should hold off on pushing for Cryptsy until then. In the meantime focus should be on growing the community. More exchanges doesn't necessarily equate to a rise in price.

Most places do not want their coins on Cryptsy because of the trading bots making small trades driving price up/down, etc and their 502, 202 errrors. Trading still goes on but its just Cryptsy manipulating prices as if you don't refresh, u can see trades happening, but if you refresh, u see 202, 502 errors. In my admittedly limited experience, more exchanges = LOWER price in the short term. It just provides additional dumping grounds, this early on you are really only serving miners and speculative investors (who want to purchase large volumes of coins dirt cheap.)

You aren't missing anything, it's going for like 550-600 satoshis, the lowest it's been in several weeks. No idea what all these people saying OMG ITS UP so much are smoking. Up 3000% from when, the friggin launch? It's DOWN over the last SEVERAL WEEKS. Not a brief dip, a hard ass we-just-crashed-in-the-mountains-i-hope-somebody-finds-us-before-we-have-to-start-eating-each-other type of landing.
I'm still mining some sporadically in case it recovers but this does not look good and even with BTC recovering a bit the price has continued to slide so something is seriously in jeopardy here.
You must be seeing old prices.. its 1000-1100 at moment...
