Just export your private key and import to Viacoin-Qt. Instructions in the main ANN thread.

So I did this and now my balance shows in VIA-qt. what do I do with the viaelectrum wallet? Just leave it? Do I have to delete it?
You do not "have" to delete it. You have to decide if you want to use a deterministic lightweight wallet or a non-deterministic full weight wallet. Both have their pros and cons.

thanks So drak just posted the link to GitHub to get downloads. My question is, are some of those downloads wallets? and if so, what's the difference between them and the viaelctrum one I am using now?

Vialectrum is an easy to use client. It protects you from losing coins in a backup mistake or computer failure, because your wallet can be recovered from a secret phrase that you can write on paper or learn by heart. There is no waiting time when you start the client, because it does not download the Viacoin blockchain.

You *should* be able to send and receive Viacoins using Vialectrum.
thanks Drak. can you comment on what "unverified" means (in Vialectrum). i'm sure many are wondering.
If you study blockchain technologies, it means no other peer computer has seen the transaction. When the network is launched, peer computers become online, mining starts and transactions get verified.
