Man Utd have to do well this season surely or Ten Hat should be sacked. This is his third season now and they are no nearer to winning the PL or CL since he arrived.

He has spent £600,000,000 now. No more excuses, he must compete for the big trophies (not FA Cup or League Cup).

-snip-but with the experience he has I think De Ligt is still good enough to be an addition to the Manchester United defense line, especially with Yoro's injury which was actually very much expected to make a breakthrough in the defense line, but it still cannot be implemented so that De Ligt can fill that position for the next few months and to make a better adventure at the new club.
Manchester United have really improved their defense and that is a good thing because they had a lot of problems in defense last season. I also hope to see Leny Yoro's performance because he is considered one of the talented young defenders at the moment. Unfortunately, an injury made him out for 3 months and that is not a short time. De Ligt is expected to help the defense and he came at the right time. His performance with Munich was not so good but I think De Ligt is still one of the best center backs at the moment.

Chelsea is the most aggressive team currently in the transfer market, but if we look at their performance in pre-season matches, it is clear that there has been no improvement in their current performance and game, last season Chelsea was quite slow in the league and this make they had to end the season outside the big four, So what happened last season should be a lesson for Enzo Maresca to start the season better next season, the competition next season will definitely increase considering that many clubs have currently optimized their squads and Chelsea must be able to try better than what they did from other teams, to be honest, although currently Chelsea has completely overhauled the squad they have,  but for some reason I doubt that they will be able to get a place in the top 4 zone next season.

Manchester United also experienced a fate that was no different from Chelsea last season and they are also starting to improve the quality of the squad they currently have, although it is not as extravagant as Chelsea, but we can also say that the recruitment of Leny yoro at a high price was very reckless.
There is a very simple reason for why they spend so much and still fail; ignorant rich American owner. I mean they are spending a lot because the new owner wants to make sure that people do not hate him and call him cheap, and he is American so he rarely understands about football, wasn't born into it as far as we know.

So they keep on spending money like crazy, and yet they are not getting transfers that makes sense, like they spend insane amount for a wing, then go ahead and spend another insane amount for same position, they are just trying to say "we are trying don't be mad at us" and that's it.

But if they really want to make sure they are good, just spend bit of that money on a world class manager and then let that manager pick whichever players should be sold and which should be bought, then they would be spending good amount but will be getting good results too. Otherwise there won't be any good results for them at all, not anytime soon at least.

The Premier League will start. The league that has been awaited to accompany the holidays. There are 7 interesting matches that will be played at each different venue.

Manchester United vs Fulham
Ipswich vs Liverpool
Arsenal vs Wolverhampton
Everton vs Brighton
Newcastle vs Southampton
Nottingham Forest vs Bournemouth
West Ham United vs Aston Villa

Of the 7 matches, Newcastle vs Southampton and West Ham United vs Aston Villa will be the most interesting matches in my opinion. This match is also the most difficult to predict the outcome of who will win.
Finally what we have all been waiting for has started and I am happy to see that I have the chance to watch the first-week games since am still on my vacation week. A lot of teams have made changes in their player and I am expecting a more challenging season. I can bet that the number of teams that Manchester City will win this season will be only a few. They should be prepared for whats coming.

I'll be choosing Southampton to win over Newcastle this time. Because i have seen their formations and first eleven players. They will be different this season and i expect them to start showing how serious they are in this game today.

In the match between Newcastle and Soton. I think Soton is still weak compared to Newcastle. They're not that fun to watch. But in another match like Aston Villa vs Westham is gonna be my preferred match to watch. The rivalry between Villa and Westham was very strict. Their games were always interesting to watch.

Villa signed many great players in the summer window. West Ham was also making some strategic changes to its squad. I find the rest of the matches dull except Villa vs Westham. That's That's because they're mostly strong vs. weak clubs.

That's my reason why Villa vs Westham is gonna be the most attractive match to watch compared to the rest.

The new season is underway as of the game tomorrow: Manchester United - Fulham. What are your thoughts on this game? Will the Red Devils start the season with a positive score?  Huh

My personal opinion is that they will win this one way or another. I just can't guess whether it would be a comfortable one. de Ligt and Mazraoui have arrived. The thing I wonder is whether we will see them in the starting lineup directly or not. Mazraoui played in friendlies, he has match fitness. We can see him as a result but I'm not sure about de Ligt. Because he hasn't played in any friendly so far.

I hope they manage to win without conceding a goal. It would be a good motivation.  Smiley
Ten Hag has done a good job in the transfer market again, but I still have the feeling that he is choosing players who need to be worked on to make them play better, he is not buying the best. I don’t know about Manchester United, it’s the same feeling every time, I expect them to start winning, but when the official matches start they have a lot of circumstances that prevent them from doing so. At home they should beat Fulham, I think no one expects a different result, but I am not sure how easy it will be for them to do so.

Manchester United seems to be moving quickly to recruit defenders who have strong potential in maintaining their defense.
Manchester United really needs defenders because their defense was just too poor last season, which made their goalkeepers performances  worse. Even as we know that Onana made some stupid mistakes last season and conceded so many goals, if Manchester United had a strong defense, then he wouldn’t have conceded so much, some balls would be blocked by the defenders and wouldn’t get to the goalkeeper, but since their defense was weak, it also affected their goalkeeper. Ten Hag has really done well by trying to strengthen the defense of the club. I'm sure it’s really going to help the team’s performance.

You are correct saying that Manchester United defense was poor in the last few season . defenders those not make any goalkeepers performance  worse I known sometime they make mistake that the goalkeepers could not amend but it doesn't mean that their the ones making the goalkeepers  performance poor. Onana is a good goalkeeper but he make some mistake last season but is not the defenders fault. Manchester United are making big  mistake for selling their good and only right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Westham  United. is going to really affect them on their defense this coming season, but we should not start judging because we don't known their new right back might be.
Defense position is very important for every team because a team can score good goals but because of bad defense they concede more goals than they score but the team performance is completely wasted. When a team's defense position is good, the midfielders will play well with the support of the defense and the strikers will do well because of the support of the midfielders. It has been discussed for several seasons that Manchester United should strengthen their defense line-up but Manchester United were content with their familiar defensive positions and we all know the result. However, this season, Manchester United signed a faithful defender from Bayern Munich, so the performance of this team will improve somewhat in the next season.

Manchester United's manager's stay at the club depends on how the team performs. If he does not perform well next season, then Manchester United will remove him from the role.

Palmer was indeed one of Chelsea's best players last season with his contribution as a midfielder. Because of his love, Chelsea immediately extended his contract for 9 years, valid until 2033. I think yesterday was the longest with Pedro Neto, now Cole Palmer is 9 years. This is Chelsea.
This is so unreal.  Grin  It is the longest contract I have ever seen. Chelsea is just doing their best not to lose Palmer to anyone. After having such a season I assume any team would do the same as long as there is financial power.
Yes, Chelsea is a bit unique in that regard. Maybe because it is Chelsea, which is sometimes quite unique in the decisions it makes, both in terms of player purchases and contract extensions. Do they not think about what will happen to the player for the next 9 years? hmmm... exactly, unreal.  Grin Grin

Chelsea is the most aggressive team currently in the transfer market, but if we look at their performance in pre-season matches, it is clear that there has been no improvement in their current performance and game,
As you said, Chelsea is very aggressive in this transfer market, spending a lot of money to buy mediacore players, young players, and who knows, what else they are looking for. While they don't want to be too insistent on getting Osimhen who clearly has a good reputation. Again, maybe because of thinking of the overprice.

Do you like this Chelsea lineup?

Alvarez is a wonderful talent. Manchester City must be sad to lose him. Maybe Haaland has always been the priority. But Alvarez has still been showing impressive performances in every chance he gets.  Smiley

I think his void should definitely be filled immediately. They are said to be preparing for a big move to sign Rodrygo. But I don't think Rodrygo is leaving Real Madrid. He is still important for Ancelotti. He is in the starting eleven currently in the UEFA Super Cup game also. The Manchester club needs to make a record-breaking offer to increase their chance. But I'm not sure if they have an intention for such a big move.

Above is the list of trophies and silverwares Julian Alvarez has already at the current statiof his career and it's super amazing. They'll definitely miss his services but then, he made he demands clear that he wants to play more game having won all. I'm sure they'll be fighting for La Liga this season. ( Atletico Madrid )

They having Internal discussions honestly about who to bring in or who to not. Rodrygo?!  I don't believe that. Could it be speculations? I honestly do not see such happening.
They Manchester City are currently charged with a whole lot right, let's wait to see if they can win it. Manchester City do not have such plans to make crazy things happen.

Mixing players with poor management conditions has indeed made it difficult for Chelsea in recent seasons, it is no wonder that Chelsea has so many players and even seems to be throwing money away, even so Chelsea always tries to shape players to be better in every season at least to have consistency in building the team so that everything is good this season, at least Chelsea must have a good target this season to be able to compete with other top teams.
It's the same problem like in Manchester United, they have poor management and they still not want to reshuffle their management to become better team. They will always stuck in this circle, they will not able to become a champion and at the same time they will not be relegated.

I predict Chelsea will finish below 7 positions.

My expectation is a Manchester United victory. Erik ten Hag has been making good transfer moves. Especially with the most recent transfers to the defense area, I believe we will watch a much more different team this season.  Smiley

You know that defending was their biggest problem in the previous season. They conceded too many goals that they had to make changes in the squad. It is nice to see them taking it serious. This is probably Erik ten Hag's last chance so he had better do his best for success. By saying success I actually mean like to qualify for the Champions League. That would be a good start, right?  Grin I don't think they would be in the title race yet.

it certainly would have been a smooth win for the red devils but after seeing a Mixed results in pre-season - which featured three defeats from five matches, including a 3-0 loss to Liverpool in the USA, it certainly begs the question wether Manchester United is ready to start the season on a good note. They tend to be more disorganized midway into the season and after experience one of thier worse season in Thier last outing, it's certain that fans are hoping they stand top of the table from the first match again Fulham.

From a look at thier past head to head matches, out of the  36 matches played, they've only managed to win 4 while Manchester United won all the remaining 32. It's a buster for the red devils and they will certainly come into the game as the big player but if they allow those carelessness that disturbed them during last season to come with them into this current season, it's going to be desaster for them right from the start.

It's unlikely to happen. Chelsea bought lots of players because they are gonna flip them for more money. If you see the club's composition, there are many inexperienced youths there. And it makes me think that if we're not going to see prime Chelsea in the coming years.

The current line-up does not show we care about the title race.  But we care about buying a young talent, developing him well, then selling him. And that's straight with Boehly's vision that sees football as a business.
Todd Boehly is a business minded man. He’s seeing players as commodities and investing largely on them. But the rate at which the club is signing players and giving them a long contract  is becoming scary at this point.
What happens when you have these so many kids on 100,000/weekly wages who cannot justify their value because they can’t get enough playing time or because they simply aren’t good enough even when they play, and they have 5/6/7 years left on their contracts?

I don’t know what Boehly is up to but so far his actions has been beyond footballing reasons. I think they’re exploiting some transfer loopholes. And the fact that they are selling their players at the same time for good prices gives him more zeal to invest more.

I read somewhere that the whole amount goes into the accounts for that year, rather than the first payment of a transfer fee, which is mostly amortized.
Chelsea are not looking to challenge for the league title anytime soon, they’re not stable .

Chelsea are doing a lot of things at the same time, management wise. They are buying players, selling players, renewing contracts, so on and so forth. They have also changed their manager for no reason. All in all, they look lost.

With the amount of players they have, I am curious to find out how Enzo Maresca manages to do his job. How will they even form a matchday squad? Insane things. But they are finding young talents with a high ceiling, whom they can sell later on when they get the right price. Probably how they are selling Gallagher now. Maybe that's what Boehly wants, and not trophies? He is a proper businessman and came here looking for good business. If he loses interest after a few seasons, he may sell the club and look for better businesses. We don't know any of that.

Chelsea may succeed in getting Top 4, or reclaim their Big 6 name. But it will be difficult. Apart from City, Arsenal, and Liverpool, 5 big clubs are fighting for 2 CL spots now. And mid-table clubs are doing great too. Tough times inbound for Chelsea.

Chelsea's current players are more than 40 players. Chelsea is still buying players even the ones that will not help the team, I just wish Chelsea would be able to play well and win a trophy this season if not the fans will be mad at the owners of the team because buying many players in the team without no seeing a positive result is like wasting of money to buy players.

Chelsea again throwing money buying players here and there but if they are actually serious and building up the youngsters there, primier league could be seeing prime Chelsea in next few years.

All the players Chelsea is are buying is waste of money because next season now Chelsea will sell them if the team doesn’t win any trophy, those players will be sold for the less amount they spent on signing the players, Chelsea is wasting money to sign players and those players performance is not good even in the pre-season match we have seen what they can do this season, I know that we can’t judge them by their preseason performance but Chelsea played their best players in a pre-season game and they still lose many matches.

Jose Mourinho, once said that what wins titles for any club is the defense and with proven records, Jose was right. Manchester United has not yet got that solid defence to enable them win the English Premier League title.

Manchester United has dealt with their poor defending by hiring three extra defenders to improve their performances. The defense is not my issue with Manchester United but Onana is. I'm wondering if Ten Hags isn't seeing his mistakes in some games, the season has not even begun, and he has conceded a lot of goals. I saw in the news that he stated that he will take any challenge for Manchester United this season, however, I don't believe Onana will be able to take any risks for the club because he is not the best goalkeeper, Ten Hag should have given Altay Bayindir a chance even in pre-season games that are not important. If Ten Hag relies on him next season, Manchester United will not finish in the top four.

You are right, it will be difficult to see the best Chelsea in the coming years because the club is not recruiting new players to win trophies or compete with other top clubs for trophies. Chelsea is recruiting players intending to develop them and sell them at higher prices. Todd Boehly, in my opinion, is just here for business purposes, he does not want to win a trophy, Chelsea can't win a trophy with their current players, if they're trying to be like Real Madrid, who has young players and wins a trophy every season, it's impossible because Chelsea has sold their old players believing that they might achieve their goals by selling out their old players with the age of 30 and upwards.

Alvarez has been a backup for Haaland and he is able to answer every challenge when trusted to play in Manchester City front line so far, Losing Alvarez will of course create a gap in Manchester City front line next season considering that they only have Haaland who is the only player who plays as CF and ST at the squad, but it is reported that Guardiola is currently no longer looking for another striker as a replacement for Alvarez because he is more dominant want to maximizing the potential of young players to become Haalaand backup next season.

Manchester City current transfer movement is very passive and they have only just brought in 1 player  currently is Savinho, Ancelotti and Madrid have big ambitions in building their squad and they want to see Los Galaticos bounce back at this time, so it might be a bit difficult to see any of their main players being to sell at this time, especially as Rodrygo is one of the young players who have talent and have been quite consistent so far in Madrid attack line, so it seems impossible that they will let Rodrygo go to Manchester City.
