Manchester United's attention to defense has been much needed for a long time, but it is big news that they have signed a defender to their club. They have always relied on their old defenders who have never done anything good for the team. The defender, who they bought from Bayern Munich in December, will surely be a member of their club's starting XI and they will be able to save a lot of their defense with this player.

Manchester United's midfielders are experienced enough and their performance is good enough so I have no complaints about the midfield. The team that is there now if the manager can plan properly with this team and perform on the field according to the right plan then this team will do well in the Premier League competition again. I don't expect title from this team, I am happy if this team is between one and four position in the points table.
I have said that for like nearly three seasons now, while they were spending 150+ on Hojlund and Antony duo, I said they could have gotten some amazing defenders for that price, like 40 million for 4 players, two centre back and two backs for each side, and they would have finished much better last season as well.

Thankfully they are doing it this season, with this new back from Bayern and this Yoro dude, I am sure that they are going to be doing fine. I am not saying it will show right away, Yoro is even out, I am just saying overall they are looking much better and will get good result at the end of the season as well. This should be something they care about, and if they keep putting their money into defense, the results will come. Because if you have good defense and midfield, you hold the ball and pass well, then the offense only has to find one chance to score that's it, if they get this good defense then they should be fine for a long time.

Chelsea again throwing money buying players here and there but if they are actually serious and building up the youngsters there, primier league could be seeing prime Chelsea in next few years.

It's unlikely to happen. Chelsea bought lots of players because they are gonna flip them for more money. If you see the club's composition, there are many inexperienced youths there. And it makes me think that if we're not going to see prime Chelsea in the coming years.

The current line-up does not show we care about the title race.  But we care about buying a young talent, developing him well, then selling him. And that's straight with Boehly's vision that sees football as a business.
Todd Boehly is a business minded man. He’s seeing players as commodities and investing largely on them. But the rate at which the club is signing players and giving them a long contract  is becoming scary at this point.

What happens when you have these so many kids on 100,000/weekly wages who cannot justify their value because they can’t get enough playing time or because they simply aren’t good enough even when they play, and they have 5/6/7 years left on their contracts?

I don’t know what Boehly is up to but so far his actions has been beyond footballing reasons. I think they’re exploiting some transfer loopholes. And the fact that they are selling their players at the same time for good prices gives him more zeal to invest more.

I read somewhere that the whole amount goes into the accounts for that year, rather than the first payment of a transfer fee, which is mostly amortized.
Chelsea are not looking to challenge for the league title anytime soon, they’re not stable .

Chelsea have made a bold and reckless step at the moment to keep Palmer in their squad,  Keeping Palmer is a good step, especially since he is a young player who has a very long career at the moment, but if we look at his contract before, he still has a few remaining  seasons agains with Chelsea so of course they are too reckless to keep him until 2033, so far I also see that Palmer may be the only young player who has a very long contract in the English league, if Palmer can remain consistent in his playing performance then that's  Luckily for Chelsea because they has contract it for a very long period of time , but if he performs poorly at Chelsea in the next seasons then it is very likely that he will be a burden which will continue to be borne by the club in future just like Lukaku is now.

I don’t have problem with Cole Palmer been offered a new contract after his stellar performance in his first season. The new contract had come because of things like; him needing to have a higher pay since he signed a maybe little wage contract and only a lucrative contract can keep him away from other clubs. Secondly the first contract would have had clauses that Chelsea would definitely want to improve like release clause or buyout clause before a big club would come and trigger it. With the idea a great one to me, the years added are unnecessary but really needed for Chelsea to avoid sanctions from football body and the Uefa nations, they do this for all players just to get away from sanctions but the thing is once they want to offload this player they need to clear the money on the contract

Alvarez is a wonderful talent. Manchester City must be sad to lose him. Maybe Haaland has always been the priority. But Alvarez has still been showing impressive performances in every chance he gets.  Smiley

I think his void should definitely be filled immediately. They are said to be preparing for a big move to sign Rodrygo. But I don't think Rodrygo is leaving Real Madrid. He is still important for Ancelotti. He is in the starting eleven currently in the UEFA Super Cup game also. The Manchester club needs to make a record-breaking offer to increase their chance. But I'm not sure if they have an intention for such a big move.

Alvarez was seriously a striker that is good enough to start at city, honestly to me he has many qualities as a complete striker than even Halaand, but Halaand has fit into Pep’s team or style perfectly and that’s Just why Alvarez can not enough game time as he would want most especially to start. So it is a good move. The Rodrigo deal looks much more attractive to me but Manchester city wouldn’t want to spend such amount on someone who will not be the first choice at center forward

If Manchester City really are thinking of Rodrygo as a viable replacement for Alvarez, then they better be ready to enter talks with Real Madrid— and it will not be an easy task. Naturally, as a young player with incredible potential, Rodrygo looks set to have a bright future in Madrid under Ancelotti.

Were Manchester City to make an offer for Rodrygo, one that would turn the head of any Spanish club, let alone one eager to sell its best player, it might be impossible for Real Madrid to refuse. But perhaps money is not the only factor; Rodrygo himself may feel that he still has a lot to prove in Madrid, especially after gaining Ancelotti's trust.

Besides, City should weigh whether Rodrygo is actually the kind of player they need to replace Alvarez. The talent of both is immense, but their playing styles are slightly different. Rodrygo is more of a wing or second striker while Alvarez is more often used as a center-forward. So maybe City needs to reconsider whether Rodrygo is really the right player to fill that void left by Alvarez.

2 Season 6 Trophies, are really impressive. He will definitely do better with his new club.

You know, Manchester City has good players in every position. They literally have more players than they need and it seems like almost every player is replaceable except for Kevin De Bruyne and Haaland. Those two players are literally a class above and wherever those two go, they will still be almost irreplaceable. I don't see any problems with the decision that Pep Guardiola made. He had more strikers than he needed and that’s why he let a striker go. By doing so the club also got a good amount of money and the striker will also get a good amount of playing time in other clubs. So, what is the point of keeping Alvarez and not playing him at all, that is only going to hinder the improvement of the player. So Guardiola definitely made the right decision.

Alvarez has achieved enormous success with Manchester City because in two seasons he managed to win a prestigious trophy with Manchester City. New challenges with his new team will certainly make him more confident this season. Also, you are right that Manchester City has a lot of good strikers on the bench so that Alvarez's departure does not affect their strength at all.

By the way, Manchester City in their first week of the season will face Chelsea and their first match of the season will also start as an away match because they will face Chelsea at the Stamford Brigde stadium. Seeing Manchester City's progress in the pre-season tour matches and also their success in becoming champions in the Community Shield, there is quite a big opportunity for them to continue their positive trend for achieve their first win in the match against Chelsea.

Keeping a player who no longer wants to stay in the team is clearly a bigger risk for Manchester City, so when a big offer comes of course they won't refuse it, Alvarez is not a player who has had many opportunities to play for Manchester City so far so he is forced to Guardiola to sell him to other team, Guardiola has previously said that they will not look for another player to replace Alvarez at transfer market  and is more inclined to provide opportunities for young players to replace Alvarez next season, besides that currently Manchester City game scheme which relies on both wings of course it allows them to continue scoring goals even without a center forward in their squad, the most likely possibility to fill the hole left by Alvarez next season is that Guardiola might try to play Savio as a center forward to replace Haaland if injury , because Savio ever previously played as a center forward when he played for Troyes and Girona last season.

If we talk about Manchester United last season, it seems like we can't say that it's just their defense that has a problem because all of their lines looked very bad last season, defense was probably the most prominent problem we saw last season and they are currently continuing to try to fix this by bringing in leny yoro, matthijs de light and Noussair Mazraoui, but will their arrival promise a strong defense?
Of course there are no guarantees in my opinion because so far we can say that the game schemes and tactics implemented by Ten Hag in the match are very bad and this is what Ten Hag actually needs to evaluate and improve at this time so that he can optimize and maximize the performance of Manchester United players next season.

Pep has told his player or former player, Alvarez, that he is giving him time to think and make a decision. Yes, in the end Alvarez made the decision to leave and Pep provided a way to determine his future. So what Pep is doing is the best for his former players in the future. On the one hand, Alvarez's departure also brought big profits to Manchester City because they sold him at a fairly high price.

The depth of Manchester City squad is still quite strong even though Alvarez left because Alvarez is a reserve striker. This is where we see that Pep Guardiola skill in making decisions will not harm the team because they still have many good players, even though Alvarez has left, they are still very strong to compete this season.

Well, anyway, again, Chelsea has new deal with Cole Paler for contract extension.

Source: Cole Palmer signs new deal at Chelsea

Palmer was indeed one of Chelsea's best players last season with his contribution as a midfielder. Because of his love, Chelsea immediately extended his contract for 9 years, valid until 2033. I think yesterday was the longest with Pedro Neto, now Cole Palmer is 9 years. This is Chelsea.

This is so unreal.  Grin  It is the longest contract I have ever seen. Chelsea is just doing their best not to lose Palmer to anyone. After having such a season I assume any team would do the same as long as there is financial power.

But of course this doesn't guarantee anything like Palmer will stay there until the end of his contract. But I assume would watch him there for a couple of more years. After that who knows maybe Manchester City would want him back this time for the starting lineup. Or some other top team could buy him. Until then I don't have any doubt he will improve his skills regularly. He is one of the rare talents in my opinion. I hope he doesn't get serious injury problems.

At this moment there seems to be no plan for Chelsea to sell its young players for profit because after all, Chelsea itself is still difficult to improve the quality of the team's performance with the existing squad. Thus, if Chelsea sells its players, then it is only a transaction and does not plan to sell it at a high price for profit. Because after all, it seems that Chelsea also only buys a lot of young players, and that seems to only buy blindly because they have large finances.

After all, if they really succeed with their young players, then surely Chelsea have also been in a good position for competition in the Premier League standings. But anyway, the reality until now is that Chelsea are still failing and that is proven by the way they continue to sack their coach every season.

Manchester United seems to be moving quickly to recruit defenders who have strong potential in maintaining their defense.
Manchester United really needs defenders because their defense was just too poor last season, which made their goalkeepers performances  worse. Even as we know that Onana made some stupid mistakes last season and conceded so many goals, if Manchester United had a strong defense, then he wouldn’t have conceded so much, some balls would be blocked by the defenders and wouldn’t get to the goalkeeper, but since their defense was weak, it also affected their goalkeeper. Ten Hag has really done well by trying to strengthen the defense of the club. I'm sure it’s really going to help the team’s performance.

You are correct saying that Manchester United defense was poor in the last few season . defenders those not make any goalkeepers performance  worse I known sometime they make mistake that the goalkeepers could not amend but it doesn't mean that their the ones making the goalkeepers  performance poor. Onana is a good goalkeeper but he make some mistake last season but is not the defenders fault. Manchester United are making big  mistake for selling their good and only right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Westham  United. is going to really affect them on their defense this coming season, but we should not start judging because we don't known their new right back might be.

They bought important defenders. This will give them some relief but of course it will not make them fully productive. In order to be a fully productive team, they need to play together for a long time and get used to each other. The biggest problem for Manchester United is the defense area. Once they solve that, they can be a very comfortable team. They have good potential in terms of offense. They have serious problems in defense but we believe they will solve them.
The purchases made by Manchester United in this transfer market prove that the club management is very serious about improving the quality of the team, bringing in quality defender can help Manchester United improve the solidity of its defense area. In addition to strengthening the back line, Manchester United also needs to improve its front line, goal productivity needs to be increased and prevent conceding goals. The newly arrived players must be able to adapt quickly, their presence is very much needed by Ten Hag to maintain competition in the EPL.

Manchester United will also play more games this season after qualifying for the Europa League via a special ticket after winning the FA Cup trophy. Squad depth needs to be maintained, Ten Hag also needs to bring out the full abilities of his players so they can finish in a better position this season.

With the body language of Manchester United it's looks as if they are prepared to contest for the English Premier League title of this season. But deep down me I understand that Manchester United is not yet fit to undo Arsenal or Manchester City to become the champions of England this time around.

Jose Mourinho, once said that what wins titles for any club is the defense and with proven records, Jose was right. Manchester United has not yet got that solid defence to enable them win the English Premier League title.

Every top side would want to compete for the Premier League Competition. Right now I don't think so though, good signatures have been done but I'm not hundred percent sure Manchester United are ready. They need a consistent fullback with a backup plan for the fullback not the inconsistent Like Shaw.
I'm also gradually loving the depth.. With Harry Maguire itching to fight for the club, he could really be a great squad player for rotation especially during European Europa League fixtures.

They should get a new left back possibly on loan and also complete that deal for Manual Ugarte. I love Amad Diallo and Antony but I don't think they can win Manchester United the Premier League Competition. I saw a news relating to Raphina from Barcelona, he is a good option and I'd love him for United.
Jose Mourinho? Jose Mourinho never said that truthfully. It was Sir Alex Ferguson who said " Attacks win you games, but defense win you trophies "  United has brought in good centerbacks no doubts.

Manchester United's defensive position is very good and strong now, the team just signed new defenders and I’m very confident that with those players that Manchester United signed from Bayern Munich their defensive position will be very strong, the only position that Manchester United needs to sign now is a defensive midfielder because those players that play the position for Manchester United are not good in the position again, Casemiro, and Amrabat is the only players that can hold the defensive midfield are both of them are not in good form to since last season and it put pressure on the defensive position, so from my point of view that is the only position that they need to sign now.

And about Onana, I think Manchester United needs to sign another goalkeeper or warn Onana about the way he is doing this season, he said he will try his best and give Manchester United his best performance this season and those games Manchester United has played and they end up playing penalty Onana is the cause of the team lose, let me say he is the cause of the goals because some goals that were scored can be saved by him but he chose to let the ball go in and during the penalty shootout he will still playing by opening a space for the opponent to score and he won’t be able to save the ball.

I think Chelsea is not like what you said they are not like Borussia Dortmund who sell their talented players to top clubs to get a lot of profit in fact they recruit many young players because they think young players have high spirits and their abilities can still be improved for the next few years and become valuable assets, if they think about business why did they extend Cole Palmer's contract for 9 years? couldn't Chelsea sell him to another club if you look at his good performance last season at Chelsea there must be many clubs interested especially at his current age which is very supportive.

And they always change coaches every season because they think the coach is not giving good results so from here it can be seen that Todd Boehly really wants to restore Chelsea's glory days in the EPL title hunt.

Chelsea are prepared to splash out €60m plus €3m add-ons to finally sign Pedro Neto.
Pedro Neto is one of the most versatile players I have seen recently. Even though he is mainly a RW, he can play nearly everywhere in the attacking line.  Smiley
..........
His previous season statistics were also impressive. Like 2 goals, 9 assists in 20 games. Considering he is still young this is a good thinking for Chelsea. The only side I can criticize is that the amount they spend seems a bit high.
Well, not bad. Last season, in other news, it states that he scored 2 goals and 11 assists in 20 matches.
