Though Liverpool started the league on winning note against Ipswich Town, however I won't rate their opponent as a formidable opponent because they are a newly promoted club and bound to struggle in the league as you stated they are new comers and would struggle to avoid getting relegate, however until Arne Slot side play a strong team like Chelsea,. Man City, Man Utd or Arsenal and the outcome of the march would determine how they would perform in the league this season, hopefully before the end of the transfer win when they play one of the strongest EPL club and lost Arne Slot might be forced to sign new quality players for now they are not tested yet to be counted among the title favorite.

And now, no more complaints about Liverpool's transfer policy. This after they got three points against Ipswich. Though adding a new player is also vital to avoid injuries. But, it seems the slot feels confident in his current lineup. And so we have nothing to complaint.

Liverpool struggled in the first half. But, some great adjustments by slot in the second half paid off. I think, Ipswich unable to showed off due to the gap of qualty between them and Liverpool. And your expectation is also too high for 'em.

The bigger clubs that competed in this first match, they all managed to win from their opponents. This was a satisfying first match though.

This is quite an interesting match between Newcastle vs Southampton. Fabian Schar got a red card in the 28th minute. So Newcastle played with only 10 players, their ball possession dropped drastically, their defense was very threatened, but they were able to take advantage of the only opportunity to score a goal and were able to defend the goal from many opponent attacks. Cool, for Newcastle.

That was gritty from Newcastle United, playing with a man down & winning is no small feat tbh. The red card was a curious decision tho, I still don’t get it. After Fabian Schar was sent off, I expected Southampton to win that game with the way they were pressing 10-man Newcastle till the end of the game.

Kudos to Eddie Howe and get his team, they kept Southampton at bay and didn’t concede any goal till the end of the game. If they didn’t score before the red card, i think it would have been very difficult for them to grab that 3 points.

Many people say that this is not a real match for Liverpool, because their opponents were not tough, only newly promoted teams that still adapt on premier league. the real match will be come when they meet MU on next 2 week. But at least, even if their opponent is not strong, Slot was proved if he can adapt well with the atmosphere premier league. all issues he denied well after made the big winning, 2-0. I think with this winning, Liverpool was made good initial capital to the next step. The big team on premier league will watch them carefully.

I thought Liverpool could be off to a tricky start into the season as sometimes these teams that made their way into the Premier League are tough to beat, especially in a home game. But then again it is still Liverpool although I have to say that this was nothing spectacular. Rather a solid game and that was it. Sure it is still the first game, but it is not like Liverpool made a big statement here. Quite clinical and result oriented.

Same thing for Manchester United. Not all that convincing, but ten Hag is probably fine with it.

Arsenal after seeing how Liverpool, Manchester United and other teams win their respective matches, the players were very hungry for the three points because it will not be easy for them if they lose or draw their first match despite all the hype of them been the favorites to win the EPL ahead of City this season according to several football pundits.
Liverpool’s performance is also not bad, it is Arne Slot’s first Premier League match, it shouldn’t go smooth because of his in experience in the Premier League, but we also don’t expect them to lose to such teams easily because the team is still ranked among the top four teams to finish in the Champions League spots this season.

But Liverpool finally started to show us something in the second half. A complete dominance brought about 2 goals. A great start by Salah, a goal and an assist.

I'm really glad to see him staying in the Premier League for another season. He is still a very valuable part of the team. They rumoured he would sign for a Saudi Arabia team this summer but there is no deal on the table. My biggest worry about them is their not making any signing during the whole summer.

I never expected Liverpool to start the season with such a good performance. Since there is a change in their coach, I was expecting their performance to drop a little bit at the beginning of the season. Let's not really react like United is the only team that spent a lot of money and couldn't find any success. I agree that they spent a lot compared to what they did last season and they should have done better and I also do agree that Erik Tan Hag should be fired and he is not a great manager.

However, there are many teams that spent a lot and still couldn't do that well, namely Chelsea of course. United at least has a third place before last season, which means that they are at least trying to do well sometimes, if they do fine this season as well then that means only one bad season in between and nothing more which is fine because it happens sometimes. I believe that United will be fine this season too, a top four finish looks like a possible way but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with a great result like a title win, that feels like that's not going to end up happening anytime soon because City vs Arsenal battle seems to decide that.
