A team that succeeded to convert their chances to scoring goals will always deserve a victory. Luck and opportunity always happens in a game of football, a team that is able to capitalize them deserve their good fate of the game. Ten hag got it right with his tactics, the players performed really well to achieve their only chance to get a trophy.

Manchester City have themself to blame for the loss. It may be a surprise, but they got punished by their own mistakes. Their tactics to have possession at the back will always have a risk, but it's how they build their attacks to create chances. Manchester City being not effective is credit to Manchester United's defense that performed with high discipline to prevent their goal from conceding.    

One of the teams who never didn't do well this in English domestic games this season but still did very well against big teams in England was Chelsea. Chelsea struggled against small teams but whenever they faced big teams in the league, they end up winning or getting a draw in the games. In the 2023/24 English Premier League, Chelsea never lost a league game against the big clubs except their reverse fixture game at Arsenal. Manchester United also had a good season as well because they didn't lose so much against the supposed big teams.
Against Manchester City in the English FA Cup final, many people had written off the Old Trafford club because of their opponent's superior performance this season but Erik ten Hag's men went on to surprise their doubters by beating Manchester City and lifting the FA Cup trophy

I've said it over the course of the season on multiple occasions that teams like Man Utd and Chelsea might lose to low-mid tier teams but rise to the occasion when up against teams in the top 4 of the table. Liverpool's losses started from that FA cup quarter loss to Man Utd and a subsequent 2-2 draw in the EPL. We also have Chelsea that drew City on both occasions this season in the PL but lost unfortunately to City in the FA cup semi finals. My point? Don't write off teams like Utd or Chelsea especially when they're up against teams were once their class.

City expected an easy game yesterday but Man Utd came with a plan and executed it to the latter.

I'm more bored seeing Man City always winning titles than Arsenal. I hope they can break Man City's dominance in winning titles so that the EPL will always be a competitive league, Arsenal can't do it because of Man City's good performance in the EPL. I also hope for differences in the league so that the league It's still going well and not boring, Man City seems to want to dominate the EPL by continuing to win consecutive titles and in the last few seasons Man City has won 6 EPL titles.

We don't know yet what will happen to Chelsea and Liverpool next season because they are both starting the season with new coaches, hopefully they get a really suitable coach so they can compete in the EPL title race. They are top clubs that always compete in the 4 top but unfortunately Chelsea are more concerned because they change coaches too often so their performance is erratic.

I call this a well-deserved victory, a correct interpretation. Eric Tan Hag could not have come to the field with a better game plan than a counter play against Manchester City's aggressive play by Pep, and Eric Tan Hag tried this and succeeded. A great success achieved by Eric Tan Hag despite the problems in the team. Manchester City went to the goal 14 times in total and they were unsuccessful. United prevented them well defensively. Out of all the attacks, only Doku could score a goal, which was not enough.

Manchester Blue, who have been dominating the city of Manchester, is certainly the favorite to win the final match, but that is the football that is indeed very difficult for us to guess so far, what you said I completely agree, Manchester Red did have an unpredictable and strange performance this season, when they were easily defeated by Crystal Palace in the league but instead they were surprisingly able to destroy Manchester Blue ambitions to add trophy After winning the Premier League, Manchester Red seems to have a performance that is devoted to big matches while others match are of course not too difficult to say they will lose, the up and down performance possessed by Manchester Red this season is certainly a big question for us about Ten Hag works so far.

In the last two seasons Manchester Red has spent a lot of money to buy quality players, but they only get two trophies that can be said to be less prestigious than the Premier League trophy, so in my opinion Manchester Red should start evaluating their squad this season because it seems that bringing in a lot of good players is not enough for them to qualify for the Europa League (apart from the automatic ticket obtained through the FA champions) through the ranking in the Premier League table, I think with a squad that is actually quite capable that Manchester Red has this season, of course ending the position in the Champions League zone should not be a difficult thing for them.

Yes Man City and Pep spoilt this game because they felt they need to keep high line defense because of Man United offensive attack amd counter and I think that costed them. They couldn’t have played that with Ortega whom they know haven’t built much confidence like Ederson, as you can see how shaky he was each time a counter is placed. ⁠You can see the lack of communication between Gvardiol and Ortega which led to Man United first goal and how the defense was open because it was a 3-man back line.

 Man United were able to quickly capitalize on this and got 2 goals and I think that was just enough to get them the victory they needed to win the trophy. ⁠This win by United has ripple effects on other clubs like Chelsea and more especially Newcastle who will not be playing any European competition next season. This could make the board of the club be willing to let thr coach go and get a better coach who could take charge of the club next season.

 ⁠Man United had everything to fight for and I think they fought just write and got the victory which takes them to the Europa League, leaving Chelsea to the Conference League. Now Man City will have to learn from this and know better when taking on a game like this to avoid these tactical errors.

You could see his composure and confidence stating facts about how the club has been before he came in and how it's been now that he's coach, he is not denying the fact that they that a crappy season but these issues within this season didn't come as a result of his decisions majorly but injuries affected them and slapped em hard.

Yeah, if they don't value what he brings into the club, he'll leave and go geta better job. If you all read history, you'll see that same thing happening now happened with Sir Alex Ferguson.

Three finals in two years, two trophies in two years and I believe it will be three trophies in three season next season if he remains head coach. Yeah, completely, but we have a lot of people who sees it differently.

They have to sell out some of these players before bringing in so they don't get affected by the fair play rules next season.

Even though Ten Hag succeeded in bringing Manchester United to win the FA Cup title, this does not mean that he succeeded in bringing Manchester United to a good performance in the EPL Cup this season, because Ten Hag failed to bring Manchester United to an important stage this season, at least being in the top four of the standings, they suffered many defeats. experienced this season and it was not a good achievement even though he succeeded in bringing Manchester United to win the FA Cup trophy this season, I think it is necessary to replace him if Manchester United wants to get good results next season, because the competition is quite tight.

I definitely agree! Diallo and Garnacho are both quite capable players. While the former is 21 years old, the latter is only 19. Both are young players and the future of this team.

Rashford's being horribly inconsistent deserves to be punished. He doesn't deserve to be a starter anymore until starting to play seriously. Or maybe PSG might make an offer for him this summer and he might leave...  


Erik ten Hag is still adding trophies to the collection of the team. While not many people were giving them a chance they managed to beat Manchester City there. Despite not having a very strong squad I believe Erik ten Hag is still doing his best. I don't think anything will change if they replace him but still not make the needed additions to the squad this summer.

I was really surprised by the result of this match. We considered Manchester City as favourites. Because Manchester United team was not in good form. And the performance of this group is very erratic. But Manchester United's win surprised us all in this match.

This machete is completely dominated by Manchester City players. Manchester City players had 74% of the ball possession. And made 19 shots in total. Even then, Manchester City could not return to the truck in the match.   Jeremy Doku scored a goal for Manchester City in the 87th minute.

Manchester United played a completely defensive strategy after scoring two goals.   In the second half I did not see any strong attack from Manchester United players.   Their main task was to repel city attacks. Ten Hag's match strategy helped defeat City in this match.

The aggressiveness of Man City game in the face of Ten Hag pressing strategy will clearly make Man City game ineffective. With this victory I think it was deserved, even though Man City totally dominated, in the counter attack the advantage was with the Red Devils where Man City defense line was very wide open. Manchester City was overconfident in utilizing a high defensive line to cage United's attacks and this is a very wrong strategy used by guardiola in this game, that could play passively against united and maybe city could win but that's also goalkeeper's mistake. The biggest issue was Ortega's nervousness when his opponent approached and going even closer to him.. It was clear that Ortega did not have much confidence in this game and i think that if things have been changing so fast for him. His error enabled United to lead through Garnacho's goal.
It's simply a miscommunication between him and Gvardiol. I'm still not sure why Pep doesn't use four backs instead of three caused by using 4 backs is much more effective in order to strengthen city's defensive lines. Pep was overconfident, believing United was a weak opponent.

This is why Manchester United was able to increase their lead versus City with two goals and keep these momentum till the full time. Finally, United did not become a trophyless team this season. It is also headed to the Europa League.This is unfortunate since Newcastle has no place to play in European competition and it surprises me. Newcastle may sack its coach as soon as possible. Im still hoping a miracelt to happen with united.
Even Chelsea declined to join the Conference League.

Manchester United is a team with full of surprises. They were lost to weaker teams with big goals margin, but could win against Liverpool, and now they won the FA cup trophy by beating the favorite Manchester City. Ten Hag and the squad of Manchester United actually have a good quality to compete with top teams, but their problem is maintenance of their form.

The game was a typical of Manchester City playing a weaker team where they dominated the possession but failed to converted chances. Manchester United played it efficient by scoring from fewer chances. This game was always an unpredictable moment when a derby game is played in a cup final.     

Manchester City played better be than Manchester United with all due respect but Manchester United made good use of the first half chances they had.
All I wished was only if they had such solid defense at the start of the season. Having Lisandro Martinez helped break Manchester Cities defense with those in between pass and it hurt them deeply. Asides that, he was also effective in hunting down Erling Haaland same way Rudiger and Tchouameni do it.

I hate the fact that they want to bring Thomas Tuchel to Manchester United. This Jim Radcliffe has got to be dump. We can all see how Manchester United fans backed the manager but these people are sick fvcks who wants to do whatever they like.
In my head 3 finals in two seasons and two trophies in two seasons is enough to back up the manager.

Just like he said, he will leave if they have no such plans of backing him up next season. They will regret it if they sack him. This INEOS knows nothing. How well is Nice in League 1 Competition even doing?

A season with just Arsenal and Manchester City going H2H would be a Little boring for me as well. I really don't know the fate of Chelsea as this point, as they are also bringing a new manager just like Liverpool. Don't know why Pochettino had to leave at this point in time when there is already a chemistry between himself and the boys. As for Liverpool FC, we might see lots of players taking the exit. I heard a rumor that Madrid are very much interested in Arnold, but I think Mo.Salah's departure is certain.

Let's just hope every team starts with a good form, so the season can be interesting.

Erik ten Hag has spoken clear about his run at Manchester United so far. He pointed out his achievements meanwhile and that he was okay with continuing to win trophies somewhere else as well.

The man has a point there honestly. This is his 2nd trophy in his 2nd year with Manchester United. The first one was the English League Cup trophy and now he has achieved the FA Cup one against the toughest team in England. Isn't this a success you think? I think it's a quite decent success considering how inadequate squad this team has.

No matter who they bring to his position, I don't expect much change unless they make the right transfers this summer.

Do you know what I was thinking about today? Because Klopp has left Liverpool, the team will probably be changed a lot and I think that Liverpool will perform very poorly in their first season with the new manager and most fans will probably be disappointed. I would be happy if Chelsea could at least manage to play for the title again as a compensation, because the PL will be boring with just City & Arsenal as title contenders.

Kudos to Manchester United but again you see, that is a typical example of what the Manchester United is made up. Uncertainty! This season was full of uncertainty for the Manchester United club and sometimes when you expect the best from them, they give you less and when you thought they could do less, they do more. The game against Manchester City was that which many would have thought Manchester City will win but for someone like me, I already had a feeling that Manchester United will win instead and that's what happened.

A lot of comments show some surprise and disbelief that Man City have lost the FA Cup, despite being huge favourite, forgetting that, for the major clubs, the FA Cup is simply not of high importance.

In this season, by winning it, Man City would only gain £1m more than they got for being the runner-up (the winner gets £2m, the runner-up £1m). So the motivation was definitely higher on the Man United's side, who needed the win to participate in the Europa League next season and wanted to give something to their fans after placing in the worst league position in over 30 years. And, of course, they'd need that extra £1m much more.
