Manchester United really won the FA Cup, unbelievable!  Grin  I watched most parts of the game despite its starting quite boringly. Manchester United's scoring first attracted me to the game more.

But I wasn't expecting it to be 2-0 honestly. Manchester City were just terrible today. I don't know maybe they were complacent after winning the Premier League title. They dropped the gap to one goal quite late that it wasn't difficult for Manchester United to defend them in the remaining minutes. Manchester City even scored that goal because of Onana's mistake. But Onana was still decent in general. Playing defensive and in counter-attacking style were good enough for Erik ten Hag to win the trophy.

Congrats the Red Devils!  Wink

The game of the two teams was initially quite slow but after Manchester United managed to score the first goal in the game, the two teams began to increase the intensity of their game, Manchester United was initially doubtful to beat Manchester City because indeed this season Manchester United performance was very bad and even in recent seasons Manchester City was able to dominate the victory over Manchester United when meeting in the league,  So it is not surprising that before today final match, Manchester City is a team that is mostly favored by football fans, including me, who are quite sure Manchester City will beat Manchester United in FA final today.

Manchester City were able to dominate the match, but both teams had chances and shots on target that were quite balanced in the match, but today I quite salute the defense built by Manchester United which I think was quite successful in overcoming the pressure from Manchester City attackers throughout the game, I think their defense was quite solid if we compare it to their previous matches,   Manchester United today managed to win the FA trophy and regardless of whether or not Ten Hag was sacked this season but what is certain is that Manchester United will play in the Europa League next season through the FA champion path.

I also want to congratulate Manchester United..!

There is really jubilation all over the world for such an outstanding performance from Man Utd. This win will go a long way in proving that Ten Haag might not be completely a bad coach. Two seasons in Man Utd with two trophies, that is not a bad record for the coach but it is looking like both the management and the fans wanted more. Perhaps they want to see Man Utd at the champions league every season like they used to in the past before Man City rose to fame and changed the sequence.

The match finally ended 1-2 with Man Utd winning the trophy. This win is a very bad one for Chelsea who celebrated their qualification for the EUFA Europa League next season but will be forced to go for the Conference League as Man Utd have automatically qualified for the UEFA Europa League because of this win. Man Utd actually played so well and deserve the win. The officiation was also perfect so Man City just have to accept defeat.

Well done for Man United on winning the FA Cup, but I don't think that's good enough for ten Hag to keep his manager's position.
This is the worst league position in 30 years, but at least they'll have a chance of playing in the Europa League next season, due to winning the FA Cup.
The Guardian has reported yesterday that ten Hag is on his way out and they named a few possible replacements:
https://www.theguardian.com/football/article/2024/may/24/manchester-united-decide-to-sack-erik-ten-hag-regardless-of-cup-final-outcome

As for the European cups participation next season, here are the final spots:
Champion's League:
Man City
Arsenal
Liverpool
Aston Villa
Europa League:
Tottenham
Man Utd
Conference League:
Chelsea

That was boring? Jesus Christ!
They was compact in the first few minutes of the game as well as the entire game even as they scored those two goals. This is what happens whenever Erik Ten Hag plays with his best defenders. Too many criticisms which are no just correct and not fair.

Manchester City players made some errors, could it be as a result of beer 🍻 after the final game against West Ham United? Maybe Erling Haaland should have been awarded a penalty but they didn't get a call from video assisting referee.

That wasn't Andrea Onana's fault, you should be faulting Garnacho for not marking that ball very well. Do you what it means for that ball to go through that defense and he still made attempt to get the ball?

If you go back to my previous post, you'll see how I expressed Manchester United winning this game time after time. Congratulations to them. So many records broken today.

Rashford performance this season is certainly not as expected by Southgate, so indeed Rashford did not get a call to be able to defend England at the Euros later, actually so far Rashford is a player who always gets a place in the England squad but the decline in Rashford performance with Manchester United of course he has to give up his place in the squad for other players at this time,  I think it should be a warning for Rashford to improve his game again next season if he also does not want to lose the opportunity to play in the 2026 World Cup.

At the moment I think staying at Manchester United is not the right choice for Rashford as long as ten Hag is still the coach of the Red Devils, admittedly or not, ten Hag is not a coach who is able to develop players for the better and we can see how the current Manchester United players are performing whose level has actually decreased after being coached by Ten Hag, if we compare their performance is worse than when they played at their previous club,  Antony, Varane, Casemiro, Amrabat and Onana, weren't they the best players in their previous clubs?
In addition, Sancho is certainly a clear proof that ten Hag iS a coach who is difficult to develop the talent and performance of his players, when he was at Dortmund Sancho was great while at Manchester United he failed miserably and instead he could again have a great performance at this time Dortmund.
Well I think Rashford missing out of England’s squad while at Europe is a very big indication on the bad performance this season. Going forward, I think Rashford will have to up his game if he still wants to play on the international stage because now the competition in there is pretty much. Currently there are talks on what Rashford will have to, especially with the talks all about how ETH hasn’t been able to manage players especially at Man United.

When you look at players like Varane, Casemiro, Antony and how they were performing in their former clubs, you’ll understand how true the criticisms on ETH ability to manage player is. Sancho while at Dortmund was one of the bright stars that we all thought will blossom, he moved to Man United and that shining light got dim and then his move back to Dortmund has put him back on the radar.

Now I think it’s now clear, that ETH style could be unfavorable for the club and as such Rashford should be ready to part ways with the club. Rashford leaving for a better environment will be pretty cool as that will be able to help him boost up his career. He needs to go to a good club that will be able to help his style and pattern of play so as to help him get his form and return to the England squad.

I'm also not a big fan of Rashford because of his unserious game. In one season we watch him do great things, in another this changes completely. This season was horrible for Rashford.  Sad

However unless Manchester United finds a really reliable decent player for his position, I don't think they should sell him. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a skilled winger though. There are so many new talents out there. I hope that they have good scouts to find and convince them to come here. ten Hag's future is still ambiguous by the way. There is a trend of signing young coaches. If they sack ten Hag then maybe they can give a young coach a chance.  Smiley

What do you think?

Who is? Lol! That guy is not a footballer honestly, he should go play volleyball from next season because I don't even know what he has done to get a place in this current lineup. Amad Diallo and Garnacho should have been the winger's of the day but I don't know how Erik Ten Hag evaluates him on the training section

They should sell him, he is not bigger than the club. Garnacho can even and has done a better job in fewer minutes in the same position as Marcus Rashford.
It's one thing to sack Erik Ten Hag,it's another to sell off all these players and it's one thing to bring a manager who can compete with Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola. You can not just bring in a young manager to do another trail and errors.

I haven't seen a worthy replacement for Erik Ten Hag even though I don't want him to leave Manchester United. I wanted Hansi Flick but he has been up for the Barcelona job, asides him no other.

not sure whether Rashford will accept the offer from PSG because even though his performance is not very good, it seems like Man United still needs players like him who can always provide opportunities for other players to score.
and for me Rashford performance this season doesn't look that good but this isn't the first time because this has happened frequently since the last few seasons and is not a big problem for Man United.
Rashford productivity is still very good in every match, he can make quite an impressive contribution, but it's just that this season Rashford is a little less enthusiastic than the previous season and this is an opportunity for PSG who know that Rashford seems to have a little problem regarding his comfort in appearing with Man United.

I don't know if this is just my opinion or is it true, but what is certain is that next season, Rashford will likely stay with Man United even though he needs new experience with another coach, but he can't do anything as long as the team still keeps him.
When money talks, everything that is impossible becomes possible. Surprises always come in the transfer market, clubs cannot resist the temptation when they receive a suitable offer for their player. Manchester United still needs players like Rashford, even though his performance this season has not helped the team much, he can still be relied on and has the ability to develop further.

PSG always tempts the players they are targeting with salaries that are higher than what the player receives with the club he plays for, this strategy is very effective and PSG does not experience the slightest difficulty even though they have to spend large amounts of money. The opportunity to play in the Champions League was also the reason for Rashford to accept the offer from PSG, especially since he was promised to fill the position left by Mbappe.

He can also win trophies easily with PSG, even though Ligue 1 is not as well known as the EPL, he can take advantage of the opportunity to play with PSG to increase his popularity. Manchester United must be careful if PSG is already looking at their players, it is very difficult to convince players to stay when they receive a more tempting offer.

Maybe PSG will try harder in this transfer market to bring in Rashford to fill the position left by Mbappe. Rashford has the qualities of a top striker if handled by the right coach, maybe in Enrique hands he can develop much more and be able to join the England national team squad again. Not being called up by Southgate to play for England at Euro 2024 is a big loss for Rashford, he must look for a new challenge with a more experienced coach to improve his sharpness again and maintain consistent performance.
Southgate has to be more selective in choosing players, he knows Rashford is a good player and deserves to be in his squad, but he has to make a choice in selecting players and Rashford is on Southgate's ignore list due to his inconsistent performance with Manchester United throughout this season.

This season hasn’t been one great one not just for Rashford but the entire players at Man United but like I said he’s receiving the criticisms because it’s his boyhood club and he is younger. His performance has real declined when you compared to past years when he just got his debut amd started coming to limelight. One notable fact is that he’s also added more pride and the fans are not going to stay quiet and watch him ruin their dear club. At this point, he has to take a decision that could help his career.

Yes he either stays and improve himself which will be a win for him and his career and a win for the club and fans too or he leaves the club to where he can play whatever he likes.  I think now he’s away from Euro, he should use this time to try to improve himself as that will help him revive his career and put him back on the limelight.

I've heard PSG are interested in signing Rashford in recent seasons, but that hasn't happened until now. Marcus Rashford's inconsistent performance so far may have been an extra consideration for teams interested in bringing him from Manchester United, but I think Marcus Rashford is still a good striker in a team.

Then from that, due to inconsistencies in performance, Rashford will not play at Euro 2024 because Southgate prefers strikers like the ones below rather than including Rashford's name among them:

Quote
Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United), Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace), Phil Foden (Manchester City), Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United), Jack Grealish (Manchester City), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), James Maddison (Tottenham Hotspur), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Ivan Toney (Brentford), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

Exceptional player but if we focus on the team as such they are Playing very badly but as I said the problem is Ten Hag, although many do not Agree with me, I know I am not wrong, I hope this player stays in the MU while he Well, that coach, now if Ten Hag stays, he has to reconsider the idea of him staying, if Chelsea gave him an opportunity it would be a great option or he simply wouldn't hesitate, but he has to think about where he can have a better future He is still young to start having good victories, championships and everything, but he has to be there on a good team to be able to win.

There is nothing exceptional about Marcus Rashford, he is a dump headed professional who has no good knowledge of maintaining balance.
He hasn't even done half of what Cristiano Ronaldo or even Wayne Rooney has done for Manchester United and y'all call him exceptionally. Anyways, everybody has his or her opinions to give and I don't give two shiit about you.

If Manchester United management thinks Erik Ten Hag is the problem, can they focus on sacking him imma, maybe they should be in charge of the game against Manchester City.
This new bodies in charge of Manchester United footballing affairs are honestly something else. I know they're just here for profits same way as the glazers.

Erik Ten Hag will leave the Premier League Competition, I don't see him getting another job in the Premier League Competition, but even if he did, I will fan him until the very day he finally retires from football completely.

It is very difficult to accept the fact that Arsenal had to be runners-up two seasons in a row. Of course this makes fans heartbroken because they are one step closer to becoming champions. Arteta has learned a lot in these two seasons. And regarding Arsenal's performance next season, I think they can maintain their current level of play.

Mauricio Pochettino is the cause of Chelsea's poor performance not only because he is the head coach, but there are reports that Pochettino has spent around 450 million euros on players in the previous transfer window. This is a very large amount and it is natural that fans have high expectations. So in my opinion, with that amount of spending, Chelsea's performance this season is very bad.

If we say failure of course it is normal for Arsenal fans in the last 20 seasons, failure after failure that continues to occur so far at Arsenal will certainly make them stronger every season, in the last two seasons Arsenal are getting closer to the championship and we can see their performance is quite good even though in the end it was not enough for Arsenal to win the Premier League,  But I am quite sure if the failure will actually make Arsenal's mentality stronger in facing next season, so far Arteta job is certainly no longer difficult as when he started to build the foundation of the team, now Arteta only needs to maintain and also increase the depth of the squad they have so that they will be ready to compete again next season.

Speaking about Chelsea, I think for now the Chelsea owner has actually made a fatal blunder by firing Pochettino, indeed Pochettino has not been able to make Chelsea compete in the race for the championship, but at least this season Pochettino has managed to build a pretty good team foundation by relying on young players, about the amount of money spent on player spending is of course quite a lot by Chelsea,  But what you need to know, if Pochettino does not have power in terms of Chelsea player transfers because indeed Chelsea owner Todd Boehly monopolizes in terms of player transfers and that is the reason why Pochettino was fired because he did not like Todd Boehly wisdom.

Actually, the heavy burden is not only for Rashford but for all players, it's just that there is a situation where Rashford is considered as that because he is one of the young players who is quite potential. It's just that for now if you look at the situation that happened actually this season Rashford also played not too well and inevitably we have to admit that.

Rashford's performance is more constrained and actually not very good when compared to before and in fact this season Rashford's ego is even much bigger than before which makes the decline in his performance very pronounced.
Hopefully with the pause now although we don't know what future Rashford will take whether to stay at Manchester United or move he regains the momentum to make him worthy of being labeled as one of the young players who has great potential.

Sincerely this has been one very bad season for Rashford and yes he is receiving most of the criticism because of his age and how this club happens to be his boyhood club. It’s understandable if the fans want to see him leave because he’s not displaying or playing good football and we shouldn’t be surprised if we see his career ending soon. Yes because at this age you can’t keep having bad performances and still expect to remain at the top with the big guns of the game.

This season hasn’t been one great one not just for Rashford but the entire players at Man United but like I said he’s receiving the criticisms because it’s his boyhood club and he is younger. His performance has real declined when you compared to past years when he just got his debut amd started coming to limelight. The coaching scheme is not very appropriate where the way Ten Hag does it is different from what the players expect so that in the end it is like oil and water in one container which even if put together but will not be able to blend perfectly which makes Ten Hag's current coaching method look not so good because of the absence of good chemistry which makes the players' performance also eventually decline.

Actually in this case I think management should take a role because after all with the situation that is happening at Manchester United now I think management should rethink if it really wants to keep Ten Hag because if it is done then the situation will not be much different between next season and this season and will be a wise choice anyway if in the end Rashford decides to leave.

But on the other hand if he really wants to stay then at least there is a decrease in ego that must be done for players and coaches because when they are already in a club they inevitably have to become one unit so that performance becomes better but what happened this season was that the greater ego of players and coaches actually made performance very bad in the end.

I'm not happy with Rashford's performance this season, I think it's been really bad and failed to improve. His appearance was very ordinary and he didn't seem to have worked hard to improve it. Obviously I believe that Rashford is Manchester United's best to always be able to rely on, but his performance so far has made me doubt that he will stay for much longer.

I agree that if Rashford cannot improve his form then he may soon be excluded from Manchester United's main squad. His career will not be good either at club level or international level, so I hope Rashford can improve it and also prove himself in the coming season.
This season Rashford is playing very badly, compared to Rashford last season, Rashford is too bad to keep, the Manchester United coach must be firm in removing unreliable players, Rashford is one of them here, he played badly but was still given a chance This match made Manchester fans a little angry with Erik ten Hag's treatment of several players who were given special treatment by him.

Considering that PSG is also interested in Rashford, this is an opportunity for Manchester United to let him go so that they have good finances to look for players who have good energy to play at the big club Manchester United.

I've heard PSG are interested in signing Rashford in recent seasons, but that hasn't happened until now. We can't blame the current coach at Manchester United, because there have been many Man United managers who have tried to become coaches but have all failed, now the problem is with the players, Rashford is the player who is given the most playing minutes even though he is not performing well, Rashford is currently not a good player, Rashford is very lazy and often loses the ball, Rashford loses his form and doesn't perform well and doesn't try to improve everything.

Blaming Ten Hag at this time is not the solution to developing Manchester United, the fault lies with the players, many Man United players feel they are stars so it is difficult for Ten Hag to develop bad players, to bring Man United back next season we have to try to bring in several players who willing to work with Ten Hag so that Ten Hag's game runs well, as well as Rashford, if he cannot develop his game at the Frendly club, the club should be firm in including him in the transfer market.

Rashford previously actually showed an impressive performance at the beginning of ten Hag arrival, but after that we could see how Rashford performance continued to decline so that in the end Rashford failed to get a place in the England national team to play at this year's Euros, to be honest, if we Assessing the cause of Manchester United's deteriorating performance, of course players and coaches have an equal portion of responsibility, but in this case of course ten are the ones most responsible for Manchester United failure, the majority of Manchester United players today are pthe best players at their previous club and that's why Manchester United spent a lot of money to recruit them and hoped to bring glory to the Red Devils again, but now the results are beyond the expectations of the owner and fans.

Ten Hag has coached Manchester United for the last two seasons and as a coach he should of course be able to understand the character of his players, apart from that, Ten Hag is an experienced coach so he can recruit all the players who fit his criteria, so there really is no other choice but to said that if Manchester United decline is because of Ten Hag at the moment, I think, you should be able to judge Ten Hag character so far when Manchester United has lost, you can see that every time Manchester loses of course he will only use his players as the reason for the defeat and not once do I eeeing that he once said : Today defeat was my responsibility and the players had played quite well, as we often hear from Arteta, Klopp and Guardiola say when their team loses, in my opinion Ten Hag is a good coach but not good enough to Manchester United, especially  he is a coach who has a very big ego.

Rashford hasn't been selected for England Euro 2024 squad.  Smiley  Is it surprising though? I assume not at all. Because you all must have seen his ineffectiveness throughout the season.

He has been an inconsistent player for many years actually. One season we see him playing great with making solid number of goal contributions. But another season he is like a ghost you know. He has a talent but he doesn't want to use it properly. This is bad for the future of his career. He is already 26 and I can't say he has proven himself to be one of the big players. His market value is also dropping on one hand these days.

Marcus Rashford has been a fvcking tw@t for Manchester United this season truthfully. It's not surprising and I think this has to be one of the best decisions I have seen Gareth Southgate make since he was appointed as England National Team Coach. He had no passion for football, makes no runs and ain't hungry for success.

His football is just too boring, I'd rather spend time in my rocky farm than watch a game with Manchester United having a player like Marcus Rashford on the wings of central forward position.
He played good football all because Erik Ten Hag build his football around him last season, he hasn't been reliable this season honestly.
Failed to show up early for trainings and also seen partying late more than he's meant to do.

Just like Wayne Rooney has said, Manchester United should sell them all leaving the youngins and Bruno Fernandez.

It's obvious already that next season would be a remarkable one and a competitive one. If arsenal have learnt their lesson then they'll keep up a good form till they end of the season which is not a new record for them.

The coach of Chelsea have left the team, however most football analyst say he is the cause to their bad performance and during the end of the season when he started making the right changes and the outstanding performance of Jackson and Cole Palma  i believe they'll do even much more better next season.

Though Liverpool flopped during the end of the season but they might also keep a good form next season.
I'm not sure about that. Klopp has parted ways with Liverpool and I don't know who their new coach will be. This means we cannot refer to their performance this season because different coaches mean different tactics too.
