Liverpool is gonna have easy fixtures in the upcoming weeks. The will against Newcastle, Everton and Fulham. It sounds impossible for them to drop some points against those weak clubs. That's why i think the gap may be going bigger.
It may seems impossible for Liverpool to drop points in these games but if they are not being careful, dropping points are highly possible especially when playing against dynamic teams like Newcastle, Everton and Fulham. Although they may not necessarily lose the game but rather more likely get a draw. Let's see how the EPL table will look like till January, when this transfer window will be open and Pep will then strengthen his team to compete again.
Liverpool has already started dropping points on this their weak fixtures in comparison to their last 5 games, where the played against the likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Leverkusen, Aston Villa and we're still able to come out victorious against all.

Today's game against Newcastle shows are these teams they will currently face may be weaker but can be dangerous sometimes and expect the Liverpool team give their best rather than lose concentration or underestimate them, they may have difficult games against the others and not just Newcastle, thereby likely dropping more points. Even like I said earlier.

Manchester City is finally back. What a great result against a strong team as Nottm Forest surely is. The game itself was far from perfect as we have still seen some holes in defence, but it's important they have managed to grab 3 points.
What's more, Liverpool has unexpectedly split points with Newcastle, who put up a really good fight and, I think, deserved a win but had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

So maybe it's not yet completely over for Man City. 9 points disadvantage won't be easy to make up, but it's not impossible as we still have 24 rounds to go.

Do you think Liverpool will manage to get over the Newcastle obstacle tonight?  Huh

On paper it might look quite likely of course. But the odds make me think they will have a hard time. Isn't 1.96 too high for a club which are doing an incredible work in the PL? Newcastle aren't even having one of their best seasons now. They have serious issues with scoring as it's like 1.00 goal per game. I'm refraining from making a bet on Liverpool win but it feels like they will win by a close margin such as 2-1 or 1-0. A point loss would be great for my Chelsea.  Roll Eyes
I also had the same thought when the bookies gave big odds on Liverpool which made me suspicious and preferred other options to bet on the match.
Finally there was a surprise that we might not be able to accept the result because Liverpool should have been easier to win but instead ended in a draw.
It seems that we have to consider the final result in every Liverpool match because this team prefers to end in a draw or win in every match to maintain its position at the top of the standings.

BTC, a coin of today and tomorrow.
I appreciate what Ruud Van Nistelrooy did, he definitely took a risk, he didn't want to be second in command or be the unwanted man and took off and resigned and got a job, it was even a risk that he would get a job, or maybe he already knew, maybe Leicester already told him that they were interested in him before Ruud Van Nistelrooy quit from UNited, I don't really know. In any case, taking on such a job is a big deal, but considering Kompany went from relegating a team here, to Bayern Munich, I feel like managing Leicester and keeping them at the league should entitle him to take on Real Madrid job next lol. I feel like if he can make the team play like this every week, there are like 6-7 teams they may not beat, but for every other team they have a good chance.
In the actual sense Ruud had no option than to resign. What do you want him do when the club had already hired a manager. He took the club as interim coach, so he was actually at the mercy of the incoming coach. Bad enough, the incoming coach was set and coming with his team of workers. So, Ruud could later work under Manchester United in the future.

RVN gave his first three points to the Leicester in the game against Westham. It's also his first game in Leicester City. He re-structured Leicester City's squad, helped team to perform more clinical, better chemistry, and sharpness. He finally gave Leicester City optimism to keep stay on EPL next season.

I think this is probably Leicester's best performance of the season. It's achieved after RVN joined them.

It's clearly from your statement you were underrating Leicester City. In fact, they're strong, they have quite good materials to start with, only lack of good manager, but they have solved the last problem when they sign RVN.
I mean Leicester wasn't in relegation zone, they were already above that level and I think what we are seeing is just a single game, RVN is doing fine and I do not disagree with that, but that doesn't mean that we are not going to see him keep winning games like crazy.

West Ham is a team just one place above Leicester right now, so they are close level teams, not like Leicester managed to beat Liverpool or something, there is no reason to be hyped like this over just one game. Not like they didn't get any wins before this game neither, Leicester had 2 wins before this game too, and got the third. Only if they end up playing good like this for a long time could they consider very good future, if RVN makes them win more and more, then yeah I agree it's a good move for them.

I like how City are going on with their business by trying to respond with a big result, but it will hold more water if they can start defending better, and for a start don't concede against a dangerous looking Nottingham who really are close at getting a goal..

Halftime City 2-0 Nottingham  Cool

KDB seems to be the engine of the team atm, let's see if the main man Haaland gets on the scoresheet...

I am not watching the match between Newcastle and Liverpool, rather I am facing my television for the match between Arsenal and Manchester United. Ask you rightly predicted, Liverpool is struggling to make a headway under Newcastle and they already have one goal against them. Liverpool being able to win tonight means that they will have to first equalize the goal against them by Newcastle before they will now talk about scoring another good to give them a winner. On a good day that is not a difficult job for Liverpool but things are actually not going as planned in this season English Premier League so it will be a bit tough for Liverpool for equalize and win Newcastle United.

It is very possible that Liverpool might win Newcastle because Liverpool are in form and defeating Liverpool is nothing to them so the game is on going and Newcastle is already having a shot on target, and Liverpool is playing a well cordinated game. And Liverpool have a small odd and people have this believe that any club that have small odd will be the one to win but it is usually not like that, and Newcastle can be a very stubborn club at times, and even if Liverpool is good they can get shocked by the kind of football that Newcastle will play, the chances now is 50/50.

And your analysis looks some how true because there is no way that this game is ending draw and definitely there going to be a goal, and am having a feeling that after first half the game is going to take a new turn and there is a possibility that it is going to be in favor of Liverpool, so the chances have now increased. Even if they manage to score I also have another feeling that Newcastle will want to equalize that goal so the predictions of 2:1 is almost true.

The game will soon start, and we will see what the outcome will be after 90 minutes. I don’t think Newcastle will take it easy on Liverpool, but since Liverpool is doing great, I believe they will definitely do everything to dominate the match and win the game at the end of the match because Liverpool is currently at the top, and that is more reason why I think they will win the match, although Newcastle is not a weak opponent. They are doing well, but since Liverpool is currently the favourite this season, that gives me more reason that they will win the match.

The match would going to be a most win for Liverpool despite the big odd, because as is stance now in the premier league Liverpool is not ready to take any nonsense from any club because even though Newcastle united is not good as before.

The game that would be a though match is Manchester city and Nottingham forest because looking at Manchester city performance now in the premier league I don't really think they will be able to get a win against Nottingham forest tonight, although Kelvin de Bruyne is playing for Manchester city.

Is it possible that Nistelrooy could give the first 3 points to Leicester City since October 26 never won until the last match vs. Brentford?
Nistelrooy became the person who gave a positive signal to changes in Manchester United's performance. The match against West Ham United will be Nistelrooy's first match with Leicester.
For me, West Ham United's performance is not so good, but compared to Leicester City, West Ham's performance can still be seeded.
If Odds betting for Leicester City is bigger than Odds West Ham, they are married to bet on Leicester.

The presence of RVN as the new Leicester City coach at least gives new hope for the Foxes at this time, since the promotion of this season they have great hopes to be able to survive in the premier league, but when Maresca resigned and left for Chelsea, precisely their performance became very bad in the hands of Steve Cooper.

The victory against West Ham was the beginning of RVN debut as The Foxes coach, but to say RVN will bring many positive changes seems too early for us to say if we only see from 1 match, in my opinion many subsequent matches can actually be a test for RVN and like you, I also hope that RVN can actually bring Leicester to be better later.

There are some interesting matches that will be played today, but one of them is the big match between Arsenal v Manchester United. I personally will choose Arsenal to win, it's not about the odds and the favored team, but purely I feel from my personal prediction that Arsenal still have a better chance of winning with Arsenal's trend which is  at least still in a good situation. But indeed, that doesn't mean Manchester United are bad, because I personally also recognize that Amorim managed to make his early matches get good results and of course, it's not a completely disappointing result.

But yes, somehow I feel that this is the first challenge for Amorim that might also fail, or maybe it will succeed. But, because I believe Arteta's love for Arsenal is so great, then maybe that factor will really make Arteta also succeed in making Arsenal win in this big match.

There is no way I underestimate Leicester City even though I know Leicester City's performance was not good before. I asked if RVN could give Leicester their first 3 points after they had not won in the last 6 matches. It turned out that Nistelrooy could give Leicester a victory and also his first victory in his debut. In other words, Ruud van Nistelrooy continued his victory since handling Manchester United and bright hopes began to appear in Vardy.

This season have been a tough one, watching both elite and average clubs sacking their coaches. Perhaps these challenges moves from one team to another. This have been unclear from the aspects. Nobody could possibly thought of the former assistant coach of Manchester United, Ruud van Nistelrooy becoming one of the good thing to happen to Leicester City. Although this is categorized to be an average club struggling to beat the odds from getting relegated. Ruud van Nistelrooy is now incharge of Leicester City and in his first game, he didn't relent and eventually made a win start with the Foxes. He's one of these promising coach that have huge chances to elevating the club to proper standards in the English Premier League this season.

Furthermore, I don't think Rud Van Nistelrooy will have any trouble managing Leicester this season since they have everything it takes to win. With their present squad, Leicester City won the championship last season, and I have no doubt that they still have the strength to fight in the Premier League. The main problem with Leicester City is that they don't have a good manager. Since Steve Cooper was hired at the beginning of the season, I've thought that Leicester would have trouble in the Premier League this season because he was the previous manager of Nottingham Forest, who was almost relegated that season and he was sacked.
I saw something different from Leicester game after being handled by Van Nistelrooy, the players had a high fighting spirit, they were also very compact in guarding their respective areas to close down the space on the West Ham players. Van Nistelrooy managed to build a foundation that made the players very enthusiastic throughout the match, this was never seen before when Steve Cooper was still the coach. The trust given by the management was successfully fulfilled with positive results in their debut match, Leicester had never won in the last 6 matches, now under Van Nistelrooy's guidance they immediately won 3-1 over West Ham.

Despite the fact that Westham's situation is also in a bad situation, this is a breath of fresh air that Ruud Van Nistelrooy can bring to Leicester so that their confidence can be even better after winning this match. It was a tight match, because West Ham themselves could actually implement a good game, but their effectiveness prevented them from scoring many goals. On the other hand, Leicester could play more neatly and they did not miss many opportunities that they got to score goals so that they could get this victory.

The most important thing in a game is three points, aside from that, West Ham's performance was far better than Leicester City's. Despite dominating the ball and playing 31 shots, 10 were on target, West Ham lost the game. After suffering in the previous five games, Rud Van Nistelrooy gave Leicester its first victory. It was his first home game as manager of Leicester, and he put on an outstanding display to satisfy fans. For Leicester, the win is important as they try to escape the relegation zone.

I must also admit that Leicester were really impressive... Maybe they weren't the dominant team when it comes to the game as West Ham had goal attempts like 4 times the amount Leicester had.

But Leicester just knew what they were doing there. They made use of the goal opportunities in a great way. Daka's goal was really lovely by the way. They finally put an end to their winless streak of 5 games in the league.

If van Nistelrooy does a good job in the remaining part of the season then I don't doubt the board would like to keep him with a new contract.  Smiley
