Liverpool still move on comfortably in the PL. They have a 6-point lead over Arsenal with a missing game at the same time. This is a great advantage in the title race.  Smiley

I wasn't expecting Arsenal to lose that 2-0 lead vs Aston Villa that easy. I saw a clear win there but they surprised all of us. Arsenal still don't look ready for a PL title if you ask me. Aside from that they should sign a top striker immediately...

Great work done by Manchester City! 6-0 win is impressive but I still don't want to have big expectations from them yet. Because their nightmare is just starting if you examine their upcoming games in the PL.  Grin

Looking at the picture story you added to your post, it's obviously clear that Manchester City's next six games in the English Premier League are going to be difficult fixtures and it'll take a lot of hard work from them to be able to stay in the top four after those games. Liverpool also have some difficult fixtures waiting for them in the English Premier League so it's safe to say that both Liverpool and Manchester City is going to have their most difficult fixtures in the next 6-7 weeks but at the end, I still expect Liverpool to remain at the top of the league till final day while the best Manchester City can do is to finish in the top four. They're definitely not a contender for the league title this season again for me

Looking at the fixtures that Manchester City is coming up against I will say that Manchester City really has a hard knot to crack if they plan to finish at the top four sport in the premier League this season because going through the opponents that city is build to coming up against it is obvious that they will definitely struggle as these opponents are tough oppositions to come by

I see Manchester City going into another lossing rounds of matches because city is just trying to come back from a very difficult phase of their season due to injuries in part of players and even bad form so it will be difficult to come up against these top teams at this point of the season that they are struggling to get back to winning ways and gain their form back

Seriously these are the real test that Manchester City have to face, this games are all top four contenders games and any lose against of them will falter their chances of actually qualifying for the top four. For me or this games had come by last month I can categorically say Manchester city might lose all of them except two. But right now even though I am not utterly convinced that they back fully I think they will take points from many of these games. The easy three games I think they will take points from base on form is the Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal and even probably Newcastle game. The first two are having troubles winning games at the moment which is seriously bad for their morale and Newcastle just lost heavily should they lose any game like that again it will affect them too.

These game though will boost Manchester City chances for top four finish if they manage to steal points off this guys and get done with fixtures like this. For me the earlier games like this are even done with the better

Not to mention the pressure of the Champions League match, Man City is also not so good there.
Man City must return to their focus of the game and try not to lose points in matches against strong teams. Chasing Liverpool will be quite far for Man City. Pep must try for Man City to get a good position this season. Man City cannot lose the top 4 standings.
I hope Man City does not get caught in a difficult situation again in the next few matches.

M.United and Tottenham lost tonight. Both teams continue their bad run. They are at the bottom of the league.

My advice to Manchester United and Tottenham fans is to find out after the game that their teams were beaten rather than watching the game live. It's difficult to see your team losing so many games at this time. Manchester United's defeat was the result of their poor defense and an error by the goalkeeper. I'm not sure what's wrong with Manchester United's manager, Amorim is just acting like Ten Hag, he doesn't believe Bayindir in Premier League games, but in other competitions, he can use him and allows Onana to concede unnecessary goals in Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, stated that he usually wins a title in his second season, but it appears that he was unfamiliar with the team he arrived at last season because his second season has been worse than any previous manager's. I didn't think Tottenham would win against Everton because they've lost a lot this season, and the loss to Everton makes it 12 losses in the Premier League. If they lose the next home match against Leicester City, I'm confident they'll fire Ange Postecoglou.

Indeed, defeating Ispwich does not mean that the Man City team will be more stable because playing against a team at the bottom of the standings is not a benchmark.
Playing against a weak team like Ipswich Town can’t be used to conclude that Manchester City is back to form. Ipswich Town is a club that almost all teams have been winning. Ipswich town have been able to win just 3 matches this season, which is really a bad one, so i expected Manchester City to get a win against them even as Manchester City’s performance is not so good, so I am sure no one will be using Manchester City’s performance in the match to conclude that they are back to form, but if we can check Manchester City’s performance in their last 4 matches, then we can see that there is an improvement in Manchester City even as they are not stable yet.

Let’s see how Manchester City will be playing in their subsequent matches, let’s see if they will be able to get a win against PSG in the Champions League, and let’s see if they will be able to get a win against Chelsea in their next Premier League match, but seriously, Manchester City has a difficult fixture ahead of them, let’s see how they will perform in those matches.

It is too early to say that they have become stable, they play against outsiders and win, they need a real test of strength. Ispwich are 18th in the relegation zone, no wonder they won with such a defeat. Let's see what happens in a couple of matches and whether they keep this momentum going. A losing streak happens to any team, if they get through it, I'll be happy for them
Indeed, defeating Ispwich does not mean that the Man City team will be more stable because playing against a team at the bottom of the standings is not a benchmark. However, even so, this will be a moment for Man City to rise, and make no mistake, Man City is always like that every season entering the second half they will be consistent and slowly improve their position in the standings. If you look at the standings, catching Liverpool at the top of the standings will be impossible, but if Man City manages to finish in second or third place, it will also be an extraordinary revival for Man City.

Maybe the next proof, if they win against PSG in the UCL & win against Chelsea in the EPL. So February, is proof of Man City is still consistent or not. If Man City manages to get through it then it can be said that Man City has risen. But if they lose or draw just once, it means that Man City has not risen yet, Man City is still slumped.

Nothing changed for Manchester United. They are still in their worst shape. They didn't improve anything since the Southampton game. Just like I said, Brighton didn't have mercy on them.
It sounds really harsh, because wow, the truth is that they played really bad, and now they have to think about doing things better, going out to play like that is the worst thing they can do, I think the coach has to change strategy, if he doesn't the team will go further and further down and that's not good, if the coach has to be changed then they should keep doing it, I insist on something, it's not the players, it's the management, if the coach doesn't do things right these games will continue to lose and lose more and more, they must act quickly, it's the PL, they can go down very badly.
The fact Manchester United is the fact that many should stop believing they are back after just few games to be honest. While Chelsea are in somewhat similar scenario, Chelsea case is much better and we can say it's the defense and the fact that the strikers waste good chances not ignoring the fact that even the wingers are not even trying to try their shot on goals but Manchester United case is way still much here, since they have more inconsistent players and can't even provide more goal chances than Chelsea.

While I will support blaming the management, the coach should not necessarily get the blame now since he just got to the club not quite long and he hasn't gotten any player of his choice, majority of these players where bought by Ten Hag and we can say many of them are not reliable. They need to find a way to get some of these players out of the club and then sign players he do need. Although since he came there have been little improvement especially in their performance in Europa league competition.

we all know they are having a difficult time even before Ruben Amorim came so Amorim is still trying all he gats to see their ability and strength but Brighton winning Manchester united home and away is not good at all at least they would have just draw one.
The position they were in before the arrival of the new coach of Manchester United is still in the same position. They lost yet another match, this time to Brighton. While watching the match between Manchester United and Brighton yesterday, it seemed that Manchester United was weak in every aspect. They did not attack strongly in that match, as a result of which they managed to score only one goal.
Quote
However, Everton performance some weeks back have really increased, they have drawn some of the big team and win some so winning Tottenham Hotspur yesterday I wasn't really surprised because they have improved a little and lastly we can not tell for sure if Manchester city has regain fully or completely untill we see there five straight wins against big teams that is only when I will be convinced that yes they have... But for now I still rest my case.
Everton's performance has not increased i.e. everton's performance is not favorable at all and even Tottenham's performance is not favorable at all. If you look at the statistics of some of their matches i.e. the last matches between them in the Premier League, you will get a clear idea. They have also lost many matches in a row so maybe it is clear that their performance has not improved. Tottenham played a bit better after half time and scored two goals in the 77th and 92nd minutes, otherwise they would have lost the match by a much bigger margin.

Arsenal is just being unserious. This is the time they should be amassing points or even trying to get closer to the League Leaders Liverpool but guess what? They are just dropping points like it's no man's business.

These points may seem insignificant but towards the end of the season, they will wish they had won the Aston Villa game just like it happened last season
I believed Arsenal will hold on to the win at the end of the game but Arsenal will always find a way to hurt you no matter what. I was so disappointed with the result of the game. I can’t believe Arsenal had a chance once again to close the gap from Liverpool and we threw it away. It is so exhausting I must say with the level they are playing, Arsenal should be giving Liverpool tough competition but that’s not happening.

Congrats to Everton. They successfully beat Tottenham and get three points. A bit surprised with their 3 goals lead during the first half. I thought they would be struggled, but performed beyond my prediction. They showed solid offence, and managed break through Tottenham's defensive line.

The second half is very different caused by Totteham did minor change, but impacted their performance a lot. So many pressures were coming to the Everton, but they able to keep the score 3:2.

What a game!!! Finally, they're far away from relegation zone.
It’s a really good game from Everton, it is not easy to play against Tottenham and win but they pulled it off they were lucky to go 3 goals up and were able to defend the goals till the end even though Tottenham got two goals back in the game. It will be a really good feeling for the players and the fans.

It is not that their game have been good but somehow they have managed to get themselves out of the relegation zone and I am sure they will try stay out till the end of the season.

It was really a tough game for them in the second half but Everton have always been good in defending. Their next fixture is also a tough one as they will travel to Brighton, as the away team they are not at advantage and winning Brighton will not be easy for them but at least after Brighton they will face Leicester City and will be the home team so i expect them to be able to win.
It was a hard game for Everton, but they managed to secure three points. They're now below Tottenham, and most likely surpass it. I can't believe they performed like a they really wanted to be far away from being overshadowed by relegation competition.

As for Tottenham, it's really unexpected result to saw how they played like shite, even worst than what they did last season. I guess they're in the dilemma whether to sack Ange or keep him. The lost against Everton has become their most painful result this season.

In the end, Tottenham is just Tottenham. They would never have winning mentality. They're such mediocre club.

Another humiliating defeat for Manchester United. This time against Brighton. I think that the main problem is Amorim insisting to play in a 3-4-3 formation. The players simply can't adapt to such formation, but Amorim doesn't care. United's midfielders are failing at dominating the game and United can't create goal opportunities. Onana also contributed for the bad result, reminding us that he definitely wasn't the best possible goalkeeper, to be signed by Ten Hag.

Manchester United current performance is indeed very sad, after winning their last two matches precisely now they are back down with a defeat to Brighton, so far they are still showing very poor consistency and even in the match against Brighton it is clear that their problem lies in a very poor defense and is easily exploited by the opponent,  I personally see that Amorim has actually had a positive impact on their game even though so far he has not found the right strategy to be able to continue to use, so indeed he still needs time to continue to develop a strategy that suits his players, I think midfield and also defense should be Amorim main focus and if necessary maybe he should completely overhaul his current squad with players who meet the criteria and the game strategy especialy in defense line.

Even Ipswich is the weak team which is in the degradation zone, but this winning can increase The City's motivation to continue playing with this in next match. Pep seems to be getting more relaxed after watch his squad play impressively. This has rarely happened since the last 10 matches. they are plagued with never winning on play away so that this winning can bring the new motivation for squad. Foden played very well supported by the improved performance of De Bruyne. when I see them play like this there is hope that the city will come back like last session.

It was a game with another weak team, and we have already seen that City plays well against such teams. But against Ipswich it was not just a win, it was the City I wanted to see, I really hope that this will give them confidence in their abilities, before the match with PSG this is very important. But Manchester United showed again how bad they are, and it seems to me that Amorim is a little discouraged, since his arrival the team has clearly started to play even worse.

I'm not blaming it on the manager for now. Because Amorim doesn't have a good squad in his hands now. He needs new signings as this team really needs it. Probably they will finish this season at a really poor position. But after next summer signings, we would see how much Amorim is capable for real. If he still fails then they would part ways without losing more time unlike what they did with Erik ten Hag. They waited for him too long you know.  Sad

It is really sad to see the Red Devils barely standing on their feet for years. This isn't what Manchester United sounds like. They are normally the king of the Premier League with 20 titles in history. But now we only see a team trying to stabilize...

Lol, Manchester United problem is beyond formation actually but the players looked exhausted. Which formation has ever worked well for Manchester United all this while? Ten Hang left them at number 14th playing 4-2-3-1. Rudd won three out of four games with exactly same team, the players are definitely the problem and not formation. Conte won EPL at Chelsea while playing the same 3-4-3. Tuchel won champions league with Chelsea using 3-4-2-1 formation. Manchester United coaches have tried using all possible formation but to no avail.

Manchester United failure has nothing to do with formation but the players. Their defence always looks fragile once break by opponents. The only solution that'll fix their problem is offloading the entire squad and bring in new players which is impossible. For now, they must accept their fate as a mid table team until the end of the season.

M.United and Tottenham lost tonight. Both teams continue their bad run. They are at the bottom of the league.
Yep. Man United and Tottenham performed very badly in EPL, they were defeated again today. Man United is in 13th place, meanwhile Tottenham is in 15th place. They are getting closer to relegation zone, it is totally unexpected situation for these teams.

M.City showed the nation an enjoyable and goal-rich match tonight.
They beat Ipswich Town 6-0 and I think they relaxed as a team. This win boosted their morale for the match they will play in the Champions League.
True. Man City seems playing with their best performance anymore. It has been a long time that Man City played very unstable, they got many bad results. Even if it seems very reasonable to win with big scores again Ipswich, but this surely will improve the mentality and spirit of Man City players. It may also bring good impacts in UCL matches as well. I just expect that Man City will maintain their good performance again. So, they can finish in UCL zone in EPL standings at least.

Ipswich is weaker than Brentford, Man City should be able to beat them, yes, even though Man City's performance is still not stable, but when facing a weak club, Man City can still play well, every point that Man City gets is very important for now because they have lost many points in recent weeks and are behind the leaders. Man City must fight hard to improve their ranking and try to finish in the top 4 at least to get a UCL ticket.
Ipswich is weaker than Brentford, Man City should be able to beat them...  and just like you rightly predicted, Manchester City thrashed Ipswich Town. I think the game against Ipswich Town today was Manchester City's easiest game of the season and that's because they didn't struggle to win the game neither did Ipswich Town pose as much threat as they've seen from opponents since the start of the season. 6:0 it ended in favour of Pep Guardiola's men who are now back in the top four pending the outcome of Chelsea vs Wolves game tomorrow

Plot twist "City is moving back up, and compete for the title race". This sounds unreal consider how big the gap between them and Liverpool, but who knows. I knew it was Ipswich, but it's convincing me to say they're starting to regain their form.

The real test is just coming for City, they're gonna have a lot of hard run in the coming weeks. The game against Ipswich helped them boost their mentality as a preparation before they fight other big clubs in PL.

As long as they can get positive results from their hard fixtures, they potentially enter top 3 again.
