I think that win by Arsenal over Manchester City in Emirates could be an indicator of a thing for this season. I mean Arsenal might maintain the title competition until the final week this time. You know how they fought for it last season for a long time. However they started a really bad streak on the final weeks which eased Manchester City's job a lot.
This time Arsenal seem even more dedicated at least for now. Winning against Manchester City in a big game isn't easy normally.
Arsenal is no doubt a title contender but it's too early to see them as a favourite just because they won Manchester City, the defending champion. The league has just started, there's going to be more games to be played, there's going to be injury worries and a manager ability to keep his team fit will determine how far they will go. Last season, at some point the team became fatigued and most persons claimed that Arsenal's lack of depth cost them the EPL trophy. Arsenal might make same mistake again or it could be that Mikel Arteta has learnt his mistakes, but very soon time will tell.
You are completely right, I myself was among those who expected Arsenal to in the EPL trophy last season, but unfortunately, just as yo have said, just towards the end of the season, when they were expected to play even better than they have played since the beginning of the last season, I personally can not tell what actually happened to them, whether fatigue, or they become too overwhelmed, I cant say, all I know was that they started losing and drawing games which ordinarily, they should win easily. This indeed at the end of the season cost them the EPL trophy.
Personally though, i will want to believe that not just the manager/coach of the team, but the entire team as a whole must have learnt from that mistake, and are well prepared to make sure the same does not repeat itself again this season.
And yes, it is too early to begin to see Arsenal as the favorite team in the season, there are still a lot of games to be played just as you have said, but then, i hope Arsenal will continue to give us a good game play going even further to the end of the season.
I had imagined something like that with Arsenal, apart from beating the UCL champion, that means a lot, so Arsenal are not playing tricks, they know very well what they are doing, these types of teams are always outstanding and They can generate a lot of controversy, of course some of the Manchester City fans can say that it was pure luck or something similar, but no, things don't work like that, I have no doubt that some help could have been obtained, a luck that is never lacking , but not everything is luck, this is something that has a lot to do with the style of play, the way the players moved, the coach's strategy, since all this weighs when it comes to having a good impact, the Arsenal may be a team that is making a difference, however I remember that they are in one of the leagues that I believe is very difficult, all the teams are doing a great job, but I admire Arsenal.
Now, the things that can have an impact on the PL are something very considered, but yes, when a team like these can make a difference based on the things that a team like Manchester City can have as a base, one as a fan He says, well, they must be the best in Europe, therefore they can make a difference, and of course when other style competitions fail, a lot of analysis can be carried out, in part Pep Guardilo knows that some players left, that is why he now has strategies very different, because when you watch City's games you see that they have a Haaland who is hardly allowed to do much, but he is a player who makes the difference, in part this has taught many that Pep Guardiola is a gem, where Practically everything ends in victories, this is something that has been shown by teams like Barcelona who in their time were the best for quite some time, they had Messi, but now Haaland is here, they have to take advantage of him.
He has proved to everyone that he's the right man to make Tottenham a great club and probably give them their 1st league trophy, well I won't be too quick about giving them the league trophy cause it's not going to come easy, Arsenal, Mancity and Liverpool are still very strong contenders, however Tottenham's performance shocked everyone and I think Postecoglou deserves the Motm award for what he's done at Tottenham currently.
Tottenham has performed exceptionally this season. They are still unbeaten along with Arsenal. However, I think Tottenham are much better and from the previous season they were title contenders who had finished runners up several times in the League. Although I'm not too sure they will be able to win the title if you look at the current squad and how competitive the English league is now. Maybe I can say that the era of the top four or top five is over and team dynamics are moving quickly. I mean at the moment there are a lot of surprises that have happened in the Premier League and to be honest there have been several times where I have made mistakes in betting. Or perhaps more precisely, my losses in betting on the clubs that I favored.
Something that really catches my attention is that since Kane left the Tottenham boys have done better, since now I thought they were going down due to his lack, well it's quite the opposite, apparently this team has had to overcome Quickly because they have no other choice , for me the best was Kane , I don't know, but the team had to play much more to be able to cover that fact, and that is something I admire, because the Bayern at the time when they sold Lewa because it was very difficult for them to fill that huge gap, now things are different, they have a lot more work now, well, when things are for this team , one thinks , Tottenham does not stand out much, and Now without Kane, even more so I believe that things are going well for these teams, sometimes these changes are Fundamental to continue improving.
INteresting:
Premier League side fear they will lose star striker to Tottenham in JanuaryBrentford fear that they will lose Ivan Toney in January to Tottenham or another one of the Englishman’s suitors but the West London outfit are prepared for that outcome.
That is according to Football Insider, who reports that Toney is expected to leave the club in January once he returns to action following his long-term ban for breaching the FA’s gambling rules.
The England striker believes he is ready to take the next step in his career after an incredible campaign last season which saw him manage 21 goals and five assists across 35 games in all competitions – including a best-ever return of 20 strikes in the Premier League.
Tottenham are one club ready to move for the Brentford star as Spurs look to replace the goals of Harry Kane who left for Bayern Munich in the summer.
