Liverpool vs Sevilla today's match is over now and the result of this match is 4-1. Liverpool's strong attack today was really impressive, their performance was outstanding. From the start they attacked very excitedly and because of their attack they managed to score three goals in the first half. And another goal after half-time made it four goals but Sevilla could score a goal later and Liverpool won the friendly by a huge margin. The way the players are performing at Liverpool at the moment, if they can play a strong game at the start of this season, they will definitely have a chance to win the title. Although at the moment Liverpool's players have become quite strong, so it can be expected that they will definitely try to show something better this season.

Manchester City performed relatively poorly in this match as they found many weak points. But still Manchester City couldn't win, while Casemiro had the most chances but couldn't hit the ball which made it impossible to score.  Although the game ended up going to Tribeca, Manchester United ended up losing.

Although both teams leveled the game after conceding a goal in the first stage, they failed to win in the end as they missed the last ball which forced Manchester United to lose.

Manchester City in yesterday's match performed less than satisfactory unlike the game we often see from City. This is because Man City did not field all of its core players, Luck is still on Man City's side, by winning the Community Shield, with City's poor play, Man United who fielded their star players could not take advantage of last night's match, The opportunities obtained could not be completed properly, I still doubt Man United for now in the premier league which will soon take place. but in my opinion yesterday's match was still exciting to watch, Penalties were the deciding factor in City's victory, and congratulations

I wish best for Manchester United in a new season but I hope that they won't take this close defeat too seriously and feel too much confident about their ability. Like they are very near to quality level of Manchester City and will be able to fight for Premier League title in a coming season. If they feel confidently like this, they will not go to anywhere far in a new season.

There are many weaknesses in their squad and they must seriously look at this fact, to be ready for fixing and improving it. If they view themselves like this, they will become a stronger team in coming months.

This is a first Community Shield title for Manchester City after three years, so congratulations!
I was very impressed with Manchester United performance yesterday because I couldn't believe they would play that good after all there lapses on the pre season matches, actually seeing there performance yesterday made me to realize what people were saying about there friendly matches that they shouldn't be judged because is not a serious match for them so now I have seen that they intentionally decided not to take those matches serious, actually if they should continue with this performance they had on this community shield on there premier League matches it will certainly be a good season for them, I was shocking to see how Manchester United dominated Manchester City at the beginning of the match and also hold them goalless on the first half, though if not for Silva Manchester United would have won the match.
Whenever it comes to Manchester City, Manchester utd is usually very strong and that I cannot explain why. It will surprise people to know that United have won City more in all their meetings, they have met 193 times and United won 79 while City won 61. Despite that United are not doing so well in recent times even from last season, they are always active and ready to fight hard when they meet City. Maybe they want to maintain their records which they guide so well. My prediction in the CS was that City will would win but narrowly and I never expected it will be so tight to enter penalty shoot out.

Losing a penalty shootout is a very common thing and winning because of a penalty shootout is also not too proud because the game before the penalty shootout was also quite balanced between the two teams. I also will not deny that Manchester City is still a very good team for this season, but I also hope that Manchester United must also have changes and that began to be seen a little in yesterday's match in the Community Shield final even though in the end the trophy from the event had to be taken by Manchester City.

It wasn't actually a bad performance at to be honest. Although United lost a game that they should have probably won but there is still a positive improvement to take note of in that match which is the most important thing. They really created some good chances against a very good side and I must confess that it impressed me.

What really happened is the poor finishing from United side, had it been they were very clinical they would have won that match comfortably. However, I don't know what exactly Rashford was doing the break because even players that played Euro and Copa looked more serious and dedicated than him. He should better let the club know his intention if he's tired of playing for them.

The match between Manchester United and Manchester City started slowly and with a lot of mistakes. In the first half, Guardiola himself was the most active for City, while MU approached the game with more seriousness. In the second half, both teams picked up the pace of the game. It was in the second half that both goals were scored: United showed great release from under pressure, and City's Bobb confidently dealt with the defenders in the penalty area. Although MU missed out on the trophy, the team played a quality game, which allows the team's fans to be cautiously optimistic about the 2024/25 season.

I see Manchester City always struggling at the beginning of this season just like last season but slowly they can fix it.
And because of that Manchester City also had to win with difficulty against Man United and overall I see both teams playing not so well.
And the most decisive thing is the mentality of Manchester City, they are mentally better than Man United so they can turn things around to win this match.
Guardiola fielded a semi-experimental line-up to some extent, with Silva and De Bruyne on the bench, and I agree that City always have a tough start to the season, the reason for that seems obvious to me, Guardiola always expects the team to be at their peak by the end of the season, so the start is not always easy for them. It seems almost impossible to me for a team to spend the entire season at their peak, something has to be sacrificed, and Guardiola's strategy works, so he sticks to it, especially since the end is always more important, that's where the finals of many tournaments end. I thought Guardiola would take the Super Cup match more seriously, but they still managed to win.
38 matches are certainly not a short journey, so Guardiola must really consider all aspects starting from player readiness, mentality and health. So Manchester City does not want to rush to just lead the top of the standings at the beginning of the season. Pep Guardiola's tactics are quite precise where he will maximize the opportunity at the end of the season when other teams are running out of energy, players are injured and their mentality is getting worse. That's when Manchester City will slowly rise without any obstacles because other teams no longer have anything to provide tough resistance.

United deserved the win, and they played better, and the only problem is their finishing. Some players, like Rashford and Sancho, played terribly. So, I think they must sell them.

Rashford played a game far below his potential. He was far from his old performance. He failed to capitalize on some important goal positions. Gareth Southgate was criticized for not inviting him to the national team. But every day we see that he was right. On the other hand, Garnacho played a great game. Also, Bruno and Casemiro showed that they are ready for the new season.
The match didn't end with a surprise result. Manchester City were the favorites for the cup. I expected them to have an easier win. But Manchester United managed to resist them. In fact, we saw things in this match that we haven't seen for a while. I think Manchester United will have a better year in the new season than in the last few years.

True, and the better to take this match as a way to evaluate the performance from Manchester United. This is because they're playing like a team now. It's kinda crazy to see how people are being so mad with this result. I see no problem if United lost the shield, and it's because i don't really care about it. Though it was a title, but it's not prestigious one.

Overall, it's a good game by United considering they dominated the game, and it's just onana is bad at saving pens.

Rashford did play very badly and strangely Ten Hag did not act quickly in this match to immediately replace him and indeed some Man United players did not play optimally, I think this is between the players whose quality has decreased or their game is not in accordance with Ten Hag's tactics but whatever it is Ten Hag must immediately resolve this problem.

In my opinion, Calafiori is not just a "nice-to-have" but a crucial signing.

I’ve seen them drop enough points due to Zinchenko’s defensive errors to cost them the league. Last season, they lost 2 points against Fulham at the Emirates stadium and 2 points against Liverpool at Anfield. Two seasons ago, similar errors cost them points against Liverpool and Manchester City.
They missed out on the league title by 2 points last season and by 5 points the season before. These are the fine margins that matter. They can’t afford to struggle to score goals only for Zinchenko’s mistakes to undo their efforts.

Bringing in Calafiori removes Zinchenko and his errors from the equation, taking them a significant step closer to winning the league title.
Arteta learnt from last season and has found solution to the defensive blunders that has affected them. I hope something changes for them this time around.
[/quote]

Arteta getting Calafiori to arsenal is one of the of the best decisions we have made in recent times i agree with you, although he seems confident with the ball but still seen as a prospect until proven.

For arsenal lifting a trophy this season, We have 2 more big decisions to make which are sorting our Left Hand Midfield (Merino probably) to tame the Post Xhaka effect and a full time striker. In as much as Havertz has helped us at defending and bullying oppositions, we need a very clinical personality that can win us games at extremely difficult times. There is a saying that if they can score 3, We can score 5. My wish: Get Alexander Isak from newcastle then we are untouchable.

I also share the same sentiment as you bro, I think the better side lost, because if Manchester united were more clinical in front of goal, they would have won convincingly, though it was very obvious that Manchester city haven't found their rythme, like most of their key players haven't gotten the required match fitness to compete and give in the quality required at this level, and that was why they struggled a lot against this well prepared Manchester united side.

And talking of rashford, with the kind of uninterested performance he put in yesterday, it's very much obvious that his mind is no longer at the club, and in my own opinion, he should be sold to another team since he is no longer interested in fighting for the badge of Manchester united, that's my own opinion though.

Solanke targets trophies after sealing £65m Spurs move

Dominic Solanke is desperate to help Tottenham end their trophy drought after joining from Bournemouth in a blockbuster £65million move.

Solanke enjoyed the best season of his career in 2023-24, scoring 19 Premier League goals as the Cherries finished 12th in their first campaign under Andoni Iraola.

Only Erling Haaland (27), Cole Palmer (22) and Alexander Isak (21) outscored Solanke, who had previously netted just 10 times in the top flight for Liverpool and the Cherries.

Having sealed his move to North London, Solanke has set his sights on helping Spurs win their first major trophy since 2008, when they captured the EFL Cup under Juande Ramos.

"I feel delighted. Obviously it's a magnificent club, a huge club with ambitions that match mine, so I'm delighted to start, to meet all the boys and I can't wait to get started," he told the club's website.

"It's a huge club with great ambitions that I want to be part of, with a great manager, great players and I feel like it definitely suits my style of play so I can't wait to get started and do my stuff on the pitch.

Source link: https://sportsmax.tv/football/international/item/150534-solanke-targets-trophies-after-sealing-65m-spurs-move
Bournemouth is not a big club in Premier league but Solanke can scored 19 goals i think these records is good achievement and i have no wonder if Tottenham is willing to spend a lot of money to gets him and i can see it that Tottenham has giving him long term duration contract for 6 years which mean Solanke will be at Tottenham until 2030

After losing Harry Kane on season 2022/2023 Tottenham is really look for new striker and on that position previously Tottenham has Richarlison or Heung-Min Son but in the term of scores goals obviously their quality is still below to Harry Kane because we all know Harry Kane always be scores a lot of goals with Tottenham for each season

About Solanke ambition want to gets trophy with Tottenham i think it's quite difficult but i think with the arrival of Solanke it can solved the front lines of Tottenham because last season
Tottenham hasn't have centre striker and for that position usually Ange Postecoglou always be played Dejan Kulusevski or Heung-Min Son and after buy Solanke finally Tottenham has several options for their front lines

Manchester City is very famous as the best team of this season, Manchester City team has many good and experienced stars who have space to score goals in every match. Haaland didn't try hard enough to score in this match and if he could have taken the chances he did get then Pelanty wouldn't have been needed in the end. But such opportunities were found by both teams but due to the experienced goalkeepers of both teams, this match came to penalties at the last minute. And Manchester United lost on penalties.

Honestly speaking Manchester United tried in this match, losing in a penalty shootout is not something that will make us think that Manchester United didn’t play, Manchester United played well and they tried their best to score a goal and also end the match draw, but there is one thing I don’t like about Manchester United coach is the kind of substitution he used to do when the players that are inside the field are playing well, he made some mistakes by substituting some players yesterday and that doesn’t make sense when a team needs winning there are some players that need to play the game in all minutes.

Well, that is football and no matter how strong the two teams that are playing are one team most win and one most lose, Manchester United should put more effort into their games in the premier league when the league starts, Manchester United is playing in the Europa League next season and it will be good if they played very well to win the title, and also Manchester United need another goalkeeper I don’t think Onana is ready to give them the kind of performance they want with him, with what I saw yesterday Onana is not going to give Manchester United a good performance this season too.

Manchester United failed at the hands of Manchester City after they lost in the penalty shootout, both teams in that match could be said to have performed quite well, in my opinion, Manchester United has shown significant improvement in their performance and play, but even so, I hope that Manchester United fans are not too happy with what was shown by their team in that match because it was very visible that Manchester United's front line was very blunt and often wasted many opportunities that could have been goals, Manchester United fielded most of their reserve players in that match but Manchester City actually trusted several young players more to dampen Manchester United game, but overall that the match in my opinion was quite good and who knows, perhaps Ten Hag will again label himself the best coach in the English league after failing to win the Community Shield trophy at this time?  Grin

Erik ten Heg is playing with fire, signed a new striker but still planning on using a midfielder as a false 9 to deceive who? Man City or the club it self? I said it won't work out, go out and make use of your best since all department are functioning like you claimed, this is the time to show working but it seems he (Erik ten Heg) is playing with his job, I only see a man who's getting ready to be fired and for Ruud van Nistelrooy to take over.
Ruud was a great striker about 20 years ago and he used to be a legendary player in Old Trafford stadium as well. Manchester United have had problems with striker position recent years and they used a bad approach for solving this problem temporarily with old striker like Alexis Sanchez, Ibrahimovic, Cavani, Ronaldo. This approach helped them in one or two seasons but not longer than that and young players like Martial, Rashford did not grow up too well as expected.

Ruud as either an assistant coach or a head coach, can not play on behalf of strikers in Manchester United and he only can share his experience and skills to these players. Successfully absorb these things through training and coming matches, it's up to players themselves, not Ruud.

I am not sure that Ruud joined the club this summer to take over the head coach position from Ten Hag.

Manchester United ways of handling players is on them and we can see how poorly they did with some of those players you mentioned, they are all good players but some ended their stay in a bad way with the club. I know what Ruud van Nistelrooy can do but what I pointed out was, if ten Heg isn't careful he'll be sacked and the man next to him will be the next Man UTD coach, you might not know the heart of man until you see what the future holds ahead.
Fine he might not have it in mind to be the head coach of Man UTD what if the opportunity comes in are you saying he won't take the job? After all everyone wants to make a big name for himself in transforming a big club like Manchester United, I believe if Ruud van Nistelrooy takes over he can do something positive, it all depends on how he relate with the players.

The game between Manchester United and Manchester City was very exciting and aggressive from start to finish. Both the teams performed well which led to the game going to penalties until the last minute which team could score in the main period of the game. Although both teams played well in the match, five penalty kicks were scored early on when both teams tied the scores, later two more were added and the scores were still tied. Just as penalty number 8 started, Manchester United's goalkeeper failed to save the penalty which resulted in Manchester United losing by one goal. But I think Manchester United played relatively well against Manchester City and this match was exciting for both teams. Although they lost on penalties in the final stages, it was mainly down to Manchester United's luck, not the luck that caused them to lose.
When Manchester United were leading with a goal, I was expecting them to finish the game that way because Manchester City weren’t really in the game. They dominated the game and has more chances to bury the game earlier but their attack was too blunt. The way they approach the game got me thinking like Manchester city were still mentally on holiday.

For some years now Manchester City have failed to win the community shield.
Sometimes I think they don’t care about the trophy. Other teams struggle to win it so at least they can say they won something that season.
Manchester City knows that during the course of the season they’ll win something a major trophy that’s why they were not pushing harder in the game yesterday.
They got into the game later when they equalized and were very hopeful to win on penalties.

This match is quite an important match as a warm-up for the season. Even though both teams couldn't play with their best squad but, they both still appeared determined in their pursuit of victory. At first, I thought Man City would win easily because Man United's defense was really worrying due to the number of injured players but it turns out Man United's defense didn't perform as badly as I imagined. I also see that there is improvement in Man United's front line. Those who usually find it difficult to establish a rhythm but, in this match they looked quite comfortable playing short balls, and there were even a few one-twos that looked quite promising.
