Agreed, and as you said, Arsenal is minimising not to lose many points. If you look at last season the difference in points with Manchester City is only 2 points, then Arteta this season must indeed focus on maintaining consistency. This is not easy especially the schedule in the Champion League requires Arsenal to be 2x more careful about the condition of their players. If you reflect on the transfer bursary this season, recruiting many players will be very useful to be able to rotate. The matter of pure strikers has indeed been a problem that Arteta has always avoided and until now in my opinion it is the most appropriate solution to catch Manchester City in points.

Besides Arsenal, Newcastle are still two points behind City, but you see what the matter is, after a few rounds there is no team left that can keep up with City, and this is just the beginning. Newcastle often have big problems with injured players, if they do not get rid of this, then a little later they will fall behind City even more. Arsenal are still one of the most obvious contenders to stay as close to City as possible until the end, but now Arteta has a number of injured players, and this can become a problem if they do not return to action quickly. Odegaard and Saka are very important for the team, Zinchenko is also important for the defense, so these losses can be tangible.

The defense is nothing to write home about to be frank with you boss, the 4 players behind can't hold the ball with confidence and the man who plays the left back and sometimes the midfield, I mean Marc Cucurella, he can't deliver a better cross and he doesn't know how to give a better pass but marking and tracking back I can recommend him. Then the other guys Fofana, Colwill and Disasi, they don't have the quality of a good defender. Gusto is even more better than those 4 guys put together so I can't use these guys to challenge team like Aston Villa or Arsenal.
We don't need to talk about getting a striker because with the help of Felix, Palmer, Nkunku, Sancho and Neto they can get goals on their own, Jackson just need to be there to complete them 11 players and be running around like a headless chicken, he's a waste to me unless he start playing from the wing.
Oh mate you have really spoken my mind, tho you sound very funny but still making sense altogether, I thought I am the only one concerned about the terrible performance of Nicolas Jackson upfront, because he is just busy running around and wasting most Chelsea clear cut chances without making any impactful contribution to the team nor improving on his blunders... Then as for the defence, apart from Cucurella and Fofana, the likes of Colwill and Desasi are just a bunch of average defenders, they can't even do their main job which is defending, let' hope James or Gusto returns back from injury to stabilize the defense a bit better than the way it is right now.

And when some one like Mikel Obi tells him (Jackson) the truth he'll rush back and reply a whole legend of Chelsea in an insultive manner just because he scored a goal against a dead team Wolves, is like he doesn't even feel anything when he performs pretty bad or doesn't he watch the clips and spot out all his mistakes? Jackson is not ready to be anything close to a World class striker, I'll call him a clown on the field of play.
About the defense I think you want to kill the team completely if you want someone like James who is getting fat and slow to recover and continue from where he left off with the team.
James is also a problem in the defense of Chelsea, the Fofana doesn't know his left from his right and ever since Thiago Silva left I don't see anybody to take up that mantle of leadership, not even James, Chilwell or even that man they call Enzo Fernandez or anybody that's wearing the arm ban, the team needs a better leader especially at the back 4 to control their movement and correct them whenever they mess up because in every game they make so much errors and the coach isn't ready to do anything about it.
I don't really think is about Jackson, I feel whatever that is happening is highly tolerated by the club, an extension of Nicolas Jackson's contract till 2033 explains it all. However as for Mikel Obi I think he was only advocating for a better Chelsea team by pointing out the irregularities and mistakes of jackson, but instead of Jackson to rather improve on his performance, he saw Mikel's remarks as a personal attack on his person.

I watched that Mikel's interview, the young man was just passionate about his former club not being a mediocre team, that's was why he was instrumental in helping to make sure the victor osimhen move to Chelsea was fruitful but it all ended in dead luck.
Nicolas Jackson style of play makes me remember Nicola Anelka when he was still playing for Chelsea, Anelka will miss like 10 chances to score and make use of just 2 chances.

That contract extension I saw that as a means to increase his the offer whenever other clubs come for him. Mikel Obi said the truth and instead of Jackson to improve on his performance he rather went on to improve on his blasting speech in social media which is wrong.
If it was someone like John Terry that said all Mikel Obi said I don't think Jackson can try responding to Terry or tagging him with those words, to me it is disrespectful. As a footballer be ready for any criticism, is part of the job you signed for. Any player that doesn't take advise or correction can never improve and Jackson is one of those players.
I do think Nicolas Jackson reacted out of emotions about Mikel Obi speech which marked that he is someone who can't handle criticism or doesn't care not see it as a big deal as much as we all do about his poor finishings about almost every goal opportunity that was supposed to be taken to get the back to the back of the net.

Any day, any time, the best response would have been him quietly improving above his costly errors and start giving his club goals in every game, and that alone would shut the voices of his critics.   If Jackson was to play under Jose Mourinho he would have been made to sit in the bench in many games due to his poor finishing kicks and that would have made him concentrate energy on working on himself to improve quickly than having time to burst back to his critics..

Arsenal are becoming stronger and a win against Tottenham shows their improvement of winning minimally against strong opponents in Premier League. If they can maintain it, they will drop less points than two previous seasons and this means they will race more closely with Manchester City. From the match between Arsenal and Tottenham, we can see that Arsenal still lack of a good striker like Haaland in Manchester City. They are trying to cover this weakness with combined efforts from other players but in long run, this weakness can damage their chance in a race with Manchester City.

Surely many would have thought that this match would end in a draw. Initially I also thought that it would be impossible for Arsenal to beat Spurs and Wolves would definitely also put up a fight to not let Newcastle get 3 points. However, after seeing the line up and formation of the two favorite teams, I became convinced that Arsenal and Newcastle were able to win yesterday's match. Arsenal really looked more enthusiastic with the contribution of players who were able to work together solidly and Newcastle also seemed to be starting to get the best contribution from Harvey Barnes, the midfielder who scored in yesterday's and previous matches.
Yes most of the matches end in a draw and I had a strong opinion on that too. But I also mostly expected Arsenal to be beaten and that's what happened. Arsenal won the match by scoring 2 goals. And Wolves will lose this match. Arsenal are a very good and strong and supportive team and most of the time you hear about them winning. And that's what happened in this match and most of the people were saying a draw but I also guessed but later I found out that the opponent is Arsenal so I wrote a win in favor of them and they will win the match. If they continue to play like this and try to win the match against Arsenal it is difficult to say because Arsenal have become a very strong team at this point.

Arsenal players have worked hard and they deserved the three points. The match was very tight so it was difficult for both teams to develop the game. But the high tension of the match was very enjoyable and made the match titled London Derby even more different atmosphere. So I congratulate Arteta because he was really able to mix his squad very well even though some of his mainstay players were still unable to be involved in the match.

I think the highly anticipated North London Derby really lived up to its hype and both teams played in honoring fashion, where after the first half one team made efficient changes in their play, and the other lagged behind in that regard, which made the difference in the result for the match.

In this match, we saw proper grit from the Arsenal players, and they kept pushing till the last minute. I think that mentality is really really praiseworthy from Arsenal. But a point to be made, Arsenal looked really defensive at times, and they did not attempt at scoring much. If Spurs had somehow scored an equalizer, it would have been tough for them to get back in the match as the tempo was in favor of Spurs the most time.

But, at the end of the day, they got away with all three points, so credit where it's due. Mikel Arteta and his men deserve all the praise for such an amazing win away at the White Hart Lane.
Even though Arsenal played a less quality team with some key players missing against Tottenham Hotspur yet they maintain their winning mentality which is one important factor attributed to winning or challenging for the league, title, in that North London derby between the two arch rival  Arsenal main their calmness and absorbed all the pressure imposed on them fortunately took advantage of setpiece by scoring the only goal of the match by Gabriel, meanwhile all is now set for another trilling match against Man City this weekend I hope Arsenal should get a positive result from the match thus consolidate their brilliant start of the season as well as reducing the gap between them and league leader.

Manchester United must still work hard in order to turn into a force that can duel and excel in matches against big teams. Despite the fact they have been in a position to earn victories in games against other small teams, the outcome has not been good enough to build confidence and stand in the leagues. The next matches in September will be very important to determine whether or not they can change their ranking. Some people argue that the current manager has failed to provide positive changes as expected, hence the need to employ a manager capable of bringing profound changes to the team and meet the expectations of the fans.
Whether or not Manchester United have improved their performance can be seen on days when Manchester United do well against their equal or stronger teams. It is easy to win against the team that is at the bottom of the points table but it is definitely difficult for Manchester United to win against the teams that are on the same level. If their plan is to only win against the bottom of the points table then they won't be in a good position in the points table at all. They must win against their equal teams and also play against the bigger teams for at least one point. If Manchester United plan this way and if they are successful then we will assume they have changed their plan and they have improved their performance.
They are trying to set a structure that's as strong as Manchester City's and so far, there's a serious change from the board level to player, they now have extra good hands in different positions infact the introduction of Ugarte has made the midfield more solid, you can see that their new signings have contributed to the goals and assists they've had so far, so what they need is for Erik Ten Hag to implement a working strategy that would enable them play beautiful football like that of Manchester City, such that when they're not leading in a match you'll enjoy watching them play and it's a good strategy that would help them win against their equals. As for inferior teams, I think Manchester United's squad depth is now big enough to feature other players when they play against them, atleast they can now rest their key players and start their younger talents or substitute players sometimes. However a working strategy that would enable them win consistently is very important.

Chelsea is still unstable this season, the match against Bournemouth proved it all, we see the statistics Chelsea won in possession of the ball but in terms of opportunities they lost even though they were lucky to end the match with a narrow score, but if they face Man City that capital will not be enough to beat Man City. At least the opportunity for a draw can be targeted by the Maresca team even though it will be difficult because Man City wants much better results to continue to move away from Liverpool and Arsenal in the standings.
Chelsea had some great months last season but from their player transfer strategies and players they bought recent seasons as their plan for future, they will probably struggle to build up a competitive squad in coming years. Don't have a competitive squad will harmful for their ability to compete for top positions in Premier League.

In early matches of this season, with a new head coach, Chelsea did not have convincing and impressive performances to show that they're actually ready to return to top four at the end of Premier League this season.

This is true Chelsea is still way behind Manchester City in defense and the midfield is still in similar state while the attack is okay only lacking a proper 9, Jackson is still very much unreliable.

This is the main reason I don't think Chelsea will be able to get a win this season against Manchester City, maybe a draw would be possible except Chelsea put on an excellent performance with the likes of Recce James and Latvia in the game, I doubt Chelsea would have a win against Manchester City.

Though against other teams like Liverpool and Manchester United, Chelsea has a better chance while Arsenal would also a difficult one to get a win.

Chelsea should be able to match Manchester City both in defense and standings this year. In the unfavorable conditions that Chelsea have to meet Manchester City in this match, there is a big chance of victory going to Manchester City by fielding a complete set of players.
It is very difficult to win matches for Chelsea this season, the strong reason for this is that they have 2 players Recce James and Latvia in the match as the key to the game. However, even though the chances are small, there is still hope for Chelsea to win this match.

Both the fans of Everton and Nottingham Forest must be having mixed reactions about their teams this season. Nottingham Forest barely made it to secure survival in the English Premier League last season but they have not lost a single game after 4 matches played and they even managed to beat Liverpool at the stadium of Anfield. On the other hand, Everton secured survival from relegation comfortably last season but they had already lost 4 games played this season and I think Everton are in deep trouble if the manager are still unable to fix their poor defense with a good solution.
Everton and Southampton stand out in the Premier League as two teams that have lost every game they have played. It seems like Everton will struggle a lot this year to avoid relegation because the way they have played has made me think that they are not at Premier League level. Nottingham Forest is a team that plays with quality. They managed to protect a goal against Liverpool by playing very good defense. Moreover, they managed to collect eight points in four games.

Yesterday we saw the Newcastle vs Wolves match with the match ending 2-1 and victory in the hands of Newcastle, and I think it was a fairly fair victory because Wolves are a team that is not too favored, especially when compared to Newcastle. Eddie Howe's squad started the season quite well, they managed to win three of four matches without losing. Last season they finished in 7th place in the table but it looks like this season they will look different, most likely Eddie Howe will maintain their position to stay in the top four of the standings by any means to qualify for the UCL next season as they did in the last two seasons.

On the other hand, next we will see the Chelsea vs West Ham match, in this match I think I will favor Chelsea even though they will play away, because from what I see now they seem to have started to rise from the slump, last season Chelsea managed to finish in sixth place while West Ham was far below them, I can't be sure about the final score in this match, but the worst thing is sharing points.

Nottingham Forest's performance last season was very poor. They lost 20 out of 38 matches. The team was very lucky to qualify for the Premier League. And they have looked to strengthen their squad after qualifying for the Premier League. Nottingham Forest in particular have tried to strengthen their midfield.

Nottingham Forest have signed midfielder Elliot Anderson for £41.2m. Ward Prowse has also been included in the squad by Nottingham. Nottingham Forest have strengthened their defense by adding Milenkovic and Morato to the squad.

On the other hand, Everton did not take any steps to strengthen their squad. Everton have added Iliman Ndiaye to the squad to bolster their attack. Iliman Ndiaye has not scored a goal or an assist in 4 matches. Staying out of the relegation zone will be difficult for Everton this season.

It will not be easy for Manchester United to be in the top four positions in the Premier League this season if the condition of their own team is still worse than last season. Because in the Premier League every team always needs extra energy and methods to get better results so that every coach must be able to be great in developing his own tactics for the team he trains. Meanwhile, the Manchester United coach is not like that so the hope of being in the top four at the end of the season will still be quite difficult for them because other teams continue to show better progress in every match.
It's not all lost for Manchester United yet, they are three points away from the top 4, but the difficulty is how consistently they can play, because they started losing a lot of points from the start. Also, Newcastle, Liverpool and Aston Villa look like they will be their main rivals, and they look much better than Manchester United.

If you just look at Manchester United's statistics now, you will see that essentially nothing has changed, their goal difference is as unconvincing as it was last season, so I wouldn't just hope that something will change on its own. Manchester United are the same team they were, transfers have not helped change anything, except for De Ligt trying his best to do something, but overall I don't see how ten Hag expects to get into the top 4.

Manchester United have been working hard to become a title contender in the Premier League, but their efforts have been in vain because they are being handled by an incompetent coach. Victory over a small team is just entertainment, the real test is when facing a bigger team. Manchester United's journey is still very long, there are so many important matches in the EPL and Europa League that will await them. Competing for the top four is very difficult if their performance continues like this, especially since they have suffered two defeats in their last four games.

if we put it generously, we have to say that the start from The Blues has not been the best. Yes, defense has been a problem.
But using that excuse is definitely not going to be enough. If Enzo Maresca keeps using this excuse, they will keep performing badly.
Instead of using this excuse, the attacking lineup has to do better. So that they can actually improve.

Enzo Maresca's doesn’t know that there have been decisions which he had made that we Chelsea fans had hate him for,  if he doesn't do well we won't even bother speaking of him getting out of our club. The defense as been disappointing right from pre season and that was the main reason I'm angry he didn't give Chalobah a chance.

Though I didn't watch the first half but watching the second half, I will say Colwill is becoming better, did block some shots to the goal, Chelsea where more on trying to attack but it seems like the midfield was lost, we often get the ball in the defense and then try to drive forward thanks to Sancho. This is another reason to miss Conor Gallagher.

Jackson should accept he is unreliable and try to improve, I will critise him more now for his consistency after he insulted  Mikel Obi because he spoke of Chelsea signing a better striker like Osimhen and now after two games he is playing rubbish, can't even hold the ball like how Nkunku did to get a goal while my issue with Felix is that he falls too much, he also had better chances of scoring if not for him falling.

It looks to be hard for Enzo Maresca to actually finish in the top four positions this season, to be honest.
I assume if they actually had not fired Mauricio Pochettino, they would have started the season in a better way.

Anyway, I am pretty sure The Blues is not going to finish in the top four. I am also not going to be surprised if they do not finish in the top six positions as well.
Last season we wanted Pochettino out but towards the season ending things became better, we could get wins with the team playing much better, our midfield was more solid than this, the defense was better and this is excluding Thiago Silva who has always been the heart of Chelsea defense till he left, Chalobah was able to get himself in the starting Xi, things were getting better we almost got a Europa League spot and we where  hoping to make top 4 this season but now we're back to accepting another season of finishing 6th as an excellent position.
