Manchester United ways of handling players is on them and we can see how poorly they did with some of those players you mentioned, they are all good players but some ended their stay in a bad way with the club. I know what Ruud van Nistelrooy can do but what I pointed out was, if ten Heg isn't careful he'll be sacked and the man next to him will be the next Man UTD coach, you might not know the heart of man until you see what the future holds ahead.
Fine he might not have it in mind to be the head coach of Man UTD what if the opportunity comes in are you saying he won't take the job? After all everyone wants to make a big name for himself in transforming a big club like Manchester United, I believe if Ruud van Nistelrooy takes over he can do something positive, it all depends on how he relate with the players.

This match is quite an important match as a warm-up for the season. Even though both teams couldn't play with their best squad but, they both still appeared determined in their pursuit of victory. At first, I thought Man City would win easily because Man United's defense was really worrying due to the number of injured players but it turns out Man United's defense didn't perform as badly as I imagined. I also see that there is improvement in Man United's front line. Those who usually find it difficult to establish a rhythm but, in this match they looked quite comfortable playing short balls, and there were even a few one-twos that looked quite promising.

However, Ten Hag's decision raises many questions, and one of them is how he could play Rashford for 83 minutes even though his contribution was not that good, why did Ten Hag let him play for that long, and in my opinion he should be questioned whether he still wants to play and contribute to Man United or leave, because in building this team we have to release some inconsistent players like him, don't give him a place because he is too comfortable with what Ten Hag gives, and in my opinion Ten Hag still chooses the players he likes the most at Man United so there is nothing to build after three seasons with Man United. I think there is nothing expected by Manchester United fans if Ten Hag fails next season he does not deserve a job as luxurious as this and now all the players he wants are almost all there but if he fails he should know the way out, because basically this team is a great team, a feared team so it does not deserve a coach like that because the opportunity for him can be said to be long but there is nothing to be proud of so I hope he has the mind that his place in Man United can cry if he does not use it well, and in LB Ammas should be there but he did not dare to play him even though we know Ammas' quality is very good in pre-season and Ten Hag should trust him to play instead of forcing himself to make silly changes, so I think Ten Hag is not given much time if he cannot handle all this well.

Solanke targets trophies after sealing £65m Spurs move

Dominic Solanke is desperate to help Tottenham end their trophy drought after joining from Bournemouth in a blockbuster £65million move.

Solanke enjoyed the best season of his career in 2023-24, scoring 19 Premier League goals as the Cherries finished 12th in their first campaign under Andoni Iraola.

Only Erling Haaland (27), Cole Palmer (22) and Alexander Isak (21) outscored Solanke, who had previously netted just 10 times in the top flight for Liverpool and the Cherries.

Having sealed his move to North London, Solanke has set his sights on helping Spurs win their first major trophy since 2008, when they captured the EFL Cup under Juande Ramos.

"I feel delighted. Obviously it's a magnificent club, a huge club with ambitions that match mine, so I'm delighted to start, to meet all the boys and I can't wait to get started," he told the club's website.

"It's a huge club with great ambitions that I want to be part of, with a great manager, great players and I feel like it definitely suits my style of play so I can't wait to get started and do my stuff on the pitch.

In my opinion, Calafiori is not just a "nice-to-have" but a crucial signing.

I’ve seen them drop enough points due to Zinchenko’s defensive errors to cost them the league. Last season, they lost 2 points against Fulham at the Emirates stadium and 2 points against Liverpool at Anfield. Two seasons ago, similar errors cost them points against Liverpool and Manchester City.
They missed out on the league title by 2 points last season and by 5 points the season before. These are the fine margins that matter. They can’t afford to struggle to score goals only for Zinchenko’s mistakes to undo their efforts.

Bringing in Calafiori removes Zinchenko and his errors from the equation, taking them a significant step closer to winning the league title.
Arteta learnt from last season and has found solution to the defensive blunders that has affected them. I hope something changes for them this time around.

The closing pre-season match between Dortmund vs Aston Villa was won by Dortmund with a score of 2:0, it is very unfortunate that I had to accept defeat thinking there would be many goals in this match Aston Villa did not play well at all, letting the ball be controlled by the Dortmund team even though there were several shots on goal, but Aston Villa failed to score.

Ruud was a great striker about 20 years ago and he used to be a legendary player in Old Trafford stadium as well. Manchester United have had problems with striker position recent years and they used a bad approach for solving this problem temporarily with old striker like Alexis Sanchez, Ibrahimovic, Cavani, Ronaldo. This approach helped them in one or two seasons but not longer than that and young players like Martial, Rashford did not grow up too well as expected.

Ruud as either an assistant coach or a head coach, can not play on behalf of strikers in Manchester United and he only can share his experience and skills to these players. Successfully absorb these things through training and coming matches, it's up to players themselves, not Ruud.

I am not sure that Ruud joined the club this summer to take over the head coach position from Ten Hag.

When Manchester United were leading with a goal, I was expecting them to finish the game that way because Manchester City weren’t really in the game. They dominated the game and has more chances to bury the game earlier but their attack was too blunt. The way they approach the game got me thinking like Manchester city were still mentally on holiday.

For some years now Manchester City have failed to win the community shield.
Sometimes I think they don’t care about the trophy. Other teams struggle to win it so at least they can say they won something that season.
Manchester City knows that during the course of the season they’ll win something a major trophy that’s why they were not pushing harder in the game yesterday.
They got into the game later when they equalized and were very hopeful to win on penalties.

Erik ten Heg is playing with fire, signed a new striker but still planning on using a midfielder as a false 9 to deceive who? Man City or the club it self? I said it won't work out, go out and make use of your best since all department are functioning like you claimed, this is the time to show working but it seems he (Erik ten Heg) is playing with his job, I only see a man who's getting ready to be fired and for Ruud van Nistelrooy to take over.
Speaking about Onana, he has his own ways of decorating the season in his favor and I'm waiting for more errors coming from him, his good with his feet but he need to do more, protect yourself and let these guys (the defenders) to always go all out before you kick out the ball, building from the back will cause more problem and the defenders don't have that confidence in holding on to the ball for the next 20secs, over confidence is the only thing that's killing the good job he has put together other than that I don't see him messing up.

The funny thing is Manchester City can win without their main squad, while Manchester United have used all of their senior squad with new strategy. Joshua Zirkzee was a failed signing, what's the reason to sign this guy if Ten Hag forcing Bruno to play in center forward position instead of him.

Onana is already finished, he has given enough time, but he's not improved in anything. Ten Hag should rotate Onana to Bayindir and let Zirkzee to play.

No one knows how Manchester City and Pep make this match an interest or not but what is clear is that we have seen how both of them play and I sure you can conclude for yourself that what I said is true.
Indeed, this could be one form of proof that Manchester City is truly ready for the real competition later when it starts, but they will also think twice if they really want to use their full strength just for the Community Shield.
In the end, Manchester City could only win on penalties in match against Manchester United who were in poor condition.

Didn't you see that if Manchester City used some of the second-string players in this match, Haaland as the most reliable main striker also did not seem to play very well and not like when he was in big match.
Manchester City game was not optimal and they looked quite pressured so that it was difficult to penetrate Manchester United defense to create an advantage from the start.

I'd say Erik ten Hag is no magician. He needs to right players in midfied so he can dominate his opponents. Do you know what's embarrassing, they struggled against youngins in midfied. I would say that too. Most of these players playing for Manchester United are honestly not worth it.
The left back position was handled by Lisandro Martinez, he is not a good fullback in my opinion, he was just making himself available. Luke Shaw has been said to be Injured again. I hope they solve that area before the window ends. Harry Amass? Lads talented but I don't think he's fully ready yet, mind you, he's only 17 years old. They should at least drop Rashford on the bench for the next three to four game so he can learn how to execute for Garnacho. Maybe also reduce his salary. Nonsense!!

This match looked a bit boring, both coaches rested most of their main players which gave the impression that they were playing a friendly match. The first half saw little action, both teams just trying to get the ball from their opponents without any real threat.
The second half did not see much change, the two goals scored in this match occurred 10 minutes before the match ended. But I think Manchester United played relatively well against Manchester City and this match was exciting for both teams. Although they lost on penalties in the final stages, it was mainly down to Manchester United's luck, not the luck that caused them to lose.

Be you a fan or not I think you said the truth on their performance, I wasn't expecting Pep Guardiola to even win the game because the Citizens weren't completely clinical, was expecting Man UTD to take advantage of the fact that some of the players who causes problem wasn't in play but they delayed till Pep start bringing in the deadly players. Only if ETH would have changed this idea of starting a player as a false 9 and playing some players out of their preferred position it would have gone their way but it can't work on Manchester City, the fast game of City wasn't even included in yesterday's game which means when next they both come against each other I feel it would be very hard for Man UTD that's if they continue with this unserious performance, just an attacker and the rest is settled for UTD.

No matter how many goals the Manchester United team concedes, it is very difficult to win against the Manchester City team. Because from the past Manchester City team has occupied the first place of the Premier League till now they are the first in the Premier League. So, even though the field of play was full of intense competition, the spectators of both the teams were quiet. And Manchester City leveled the game in the last few minutes of the game.  Here the Manchester City team was a bit behind as they failed to score despite the early chances, Manchester City team scored a goal with just one minute remaining. And the game did not go to penalties, and Manchester United lost by just one goal. Manchester United missed two goals.

Well, I'm a person who thinks that Chelsea should do Something to be able to go further in the Premier League. I say one thing: they have to change everything that is necessary, and it's not a question of luck, it's a question of attitude.
