I was really disappointed by that late minute goal scored by the citizens, Manchester United where not able to hold down till the end of the 90 minutes, though towards the end of the game pep guardiola began to introduce, the likes of Bernardo Silva and Kevin de bruyne who where really impactful.
There is no extra time for the community shield, it's direct to penalties after 90 minutes. However Manchester city have won the day on PK.
At a point I actually thought Manchester United where going to win this cup, unfortunately they couldn't hold on to their victory.

The match ended with a penalty kick and City was able to win with one goal. Sylva was the one who equalized the goal on the 89th minutes of the match which gave City the opportunity to try their luck in a penalty shootout.

Sancho lost his penalty and that was why United was unable to win the match making the penalty extend to 7-7 because Sylva also lost his. Evans finally gave City the victory as he played his own PK over the bar and Akanji scored the last penalty to give City the victory.

Congratulations to City for starting the season with a victory.

Manchester City have won the Community Shields! Making it 18th trophies won by Pep Guardiola for his 9 years staying, it a wonderful achievement for him. You are right, in the end both teams scored before the end of the second half. It is very unfortunate that Manchester United failed to maintain their victory in the remaining minutes since they were leading 0-1, that was the initial reason why Manchester City managed to win the title in the end. The penalty round was really disappointing, of course because of the two failures that made Manchester City go home with victorious. Congratulations to Manchester City and the fans who support it.

Jonny Evans and Jadon Sancho failed to score penalties, while Bernardo Silva was the only kicker who missed from Manchester City. I wasn't too disappointed with the result of the match, of course because the chances of both teams winning in the penalty shootout were 50:50.

The last minutes of the match passed very quickly. First Manchester United, then Manchester City scored and the score of the match was 1-1. There was a good fight, both sides must be very sorry for the missed goal positions.
I think neither team seems fully ready for the new season, we saw this very clearly in this match. They could have found many more scoring chances throughout the match

The both teams really displayed professionalism in the community shield match today and they look both prepared ahead of the kick off of the season's matches. I commend Manchester United for their doggedness in this game today and it looks like they will be different this season unlike last season when they performed poorly despite winning the F.A last season.

After the match ended in 1:1 they headed straight to penalty shoot outs and Manchester City finally won, kudos to Manchester City as they are the winner of this season's community shield. What a good impression they have created in preparation for the start of a new season.

Hojlund is still injured and that's what makes him unable to play in this match, I was watching in the 60th minute and I was surprised because thematch was still goalless and worse still in the 60th minute they didn't have a shot on target at all.I thought I was going to lose my bet because I bet on both teams to score. But yes, it's fortunate because Manchester United scored first and thus, Manchester City can certainly reply and the match has a score of 1-1 at the moment and will go to penalties.

I actually wanted the match to end in normal time with Manchester City win, because I also bet on Manchester City to win. Because at least, this match will be a good moment for Manchester City to take revenge for their FA Cup defeat. The Gunners deserve praise because defeating Leverkusen is not easy, I believe that if it hadn't been for Manchester City pressure, Arsenal would be the favorite to win the league next season, but competing with Guardiola over the last four seasons has been difficult. Heading into the 80th minute and no sight of goals at this point, i see this being decided by penalties. Typical one of those days where the guys are still trying to integrate into a new season. Lot of lags and less energy.
If it goes to a penalty kick i hope city wins cos tell me why rashford is having a clear cut chance, alone in the box yet still has a kiss with the post. Mc tomainay, 2 solid chances and nothing to show for it., i hope they play this way against arsenal too. City is my biggest rival right now and wouldn’t want to give them a morale boost anyways but at the end of the day but let the best man win.

Both coaches did not force the core players to spend too much energy in this game, only a few senior players were included in the starting eleven. Bruno Fernandez scored an amazing goal which is refused minutes ago by offside fault. The match becomes more exciting since the start of second half but there is no goal so far. There are four substitutions from Manchester United McTominay, Pellistri, Garnacho and Collyer sent in to replace Maguire, Diallo, Mainoo, Mount. In Manchester City side, they still not make substitution and if De Bruyne, Silva are used in the second half, their attack power will be stronger and can help them to score goals against Manchester United.

I was able to watch the first half through live stream. It was a fantastic first half for Manchester City, even if they could not convert one of their chances that hit the bar. It was an obvious blunder by Martinez who played left back. That position is not natural to him and that gave Bobb alot of chances to disturb Manchester United defense. Also, Manchester United missed a very big chance as well but then I think the squad is balanced, any team can win.

If KDB is introduced in the second half, it will be a bit of trouble to Manchester United because Bruno fernandes is already in the pitch and didn't have much influence in the pitch.

So far I see Manchester United can handle the game of Manchester City and in terms of the game they can also match what Manchester City does. There have been no opportunities that can be converted into a goal in the first half, but there is still enough time in the second half to change things.

Yes, it's true the game isn't going as I personally thought, due to Man City inability to score a single goal in the entire first half, even while an extra 2 minutes was added, However, it's not late, let's see what the outcome of the second half will be, if Man City, with the help of Erling Haaland will be able to win this game or it will eventually end draw, because the bet i played was in favour of Man-City. Moreover, before the end of the first half, I could see Marcus Rashfold playing a decent game, which gave Man-United the highest ball possession in first half.. so let's see what the outcome of this game will be, as I guess this game is likely to end goal less in favour of non.

The match became interesting because the two teams looked evenly matched from the first half until the middle of the second half. Both teams have not had many attempts at scoring goals and so far neither has had a single shot on target. Manchester City can of course dominate the match, but they also have difficulty finding good space to score goals.

There is still a lot of time left to wait for goals to be scored by both teams, but in terms of probability I think Manchester City has a better percentage of winning. I was disappointed at that decision taken by Amad Diallo because he was suppose to score the goal himself instead of passing the ball and that was why the player he was passing to did not expected him to pass such ball. Rashford also had a good chance of scoring but he misused it. The only chance City had was the one that hit the goal post which was caused by Martinez, because he gave a wrong pass. I believe in the second half after some substitutes would be made by both coaches one of the team will take advantage of the game.
