A big congratulations to Brentford, for winning their first Season match. They really played well, and deserve the winning. Although, I thought, Arsenal was going to win, I expected them to beat Brentford. But Brentford surprised me. They won in both halves, first goal in 22 minutes while the second goal in 73 minutes. Arsenal had 66% ball possession and even 4 shots on target, but unfortunately they couldn't score a single goal.

In the first game of the season, Brentford played really smart against Arsenal and managed to win the game also by 2-0. Arsenal did everything they could but it wasn't quite enough for even a draw. Canos and Norgaard scored the goals. Toney couldn't score one but I think that he will adapt to the league as quick as possible and start scoring. This is a terrible start for Arsenal surely. In the absence of Aubameyang and Lacazette, they had a big difficulty in scoring even one goal.

Yes unfortunatly they lack quality players and a good striker and defenders weve seen weak performance and lot of missed oppurtunities in the second half they conceided two goals from the few chances brentford had and it seems this season will be worse than the last one.

Arsenal had started and continue with their woeful performance, today's match was not an exception, the team lack creativity in the midfield their attack was not sharp, chamber was sluggis at defence, It's a pity Arsenal is more like an average team that couldn't beat a newly promoted team, they are less ambitious and to add to their woes their next two marches is against Chelsea and Man city, how will they escape thrashing by those two tough teams? I am quite disappointed with today's match hoping that Arsenal will play and win easily congratulations to Brentford.

I had hoped before the game that Arsenal would win this one. It is the first game of the new season, they did good in the pre-season games and as such, playing against a team that just got out of relegation was supposed to be a match bonus for them. Unfortunately, the Brentford team had other plans and from the way they played, you can tell they were set to win this game. Arsenal dominated most parts of the game but, Brentford ensured the little chances they had counts. 3 shots on target and 2 were converted into goals.
It's a disappointing match day live for the Arsenal fans for sure but, let's hope Brentford gets to keep the winning up. Its better to start from a loosing side than to start good and loose much later.

What the poll here says doesn't really all that much, last season it was Liverpool that got the most votes I believe, eventually City got closer but because of previous season, last season was seen as a guaranteed Liverpool win as well. Then they had a season where they had 5 losses in a row back to back, that is just not understandable and they finished third purely out of others sucking, the teams at the top didn't end up winning, it wasn't about liverpool winning, when you are sucking so bad like Liverpool, the other teams could just win and keep you down, but all the teams ended up losing so Liverpool ended up going to third place purely with luck.

This season polls show that liverpool will be bad, but at the same time I am expecting it to be actually different, liverpool will definitely be top 3 again that is for sure, but could fight for second place very easily, whereas City could actually end up not even winning, not likely, but not impossible.

They're so organized when in possession, and very much disciplined when defending. It was a deserved win, hands down!

Brentford don't have even a single shot to Arsenal's goal. But I guess they are fully defending now. They should be looking for opportunities with a counter-attack football. New season, same arsenal... I can't say i am disappointed because as an arsenal fan that i am, we are used to disappointments already. If Arteta can't manage the team this season he should be sacked and not be given more chance to further embarrass us.

Our defence is zero, i hope something is done quickly before we find ourselves fighting against relegation, because the performance from this team is too poor.

I think that they need to improve more because not many scoring oppurtunities and some fresh players in this new season i think thats one of the reasons why they are playing this way they need some fresh legs i think saka and bellerin will provide some speed in the attack and that might make a difference in the second half.

looks like it's going to be a pretty bad day for arsenal, Brentford's performance tonight was quite good in the first half and they played like they had no weight at all in the match and what I saw if arsenal seemed to be more focused on attacking from both wings than trying to penetrate from the middle field, if you look at the current arsenal game like losing a striker and also a ball controller, it makes me really miss Mesut Ozil and also Van Persie Cry

Arsenal are currently down by a goal to nil in 31 minutes, I knew this is gonna happen, they can't keep a clean shit on the first day of the season commencement, after seeing the line up, I just have to conclude that Arsenal is probably not ready to win any trophy this season, I'm an Arsenal fan, to be honest I won't be surprised if Arsenal does not qualify for any European competitions

I think this entirely depends on how Brentford setup. We saw it with Leeds last year though, championship teams when going hell for leather, can actually get some good results against some of the best teams in the league. Brentford have the players, they just need to execute it similar to Leeds.

After the squads were announced, I saw that Arsenal had a big problem on their attacking side. Aubameyang and Lacazette are not able to play because of their injuries. Nketiah is also injured. Hence, we see that their 20-year-old striker Folarin Balogun is in the starting eleven as CF now. He got a chance to prove himself but I don't know if he can play good. Arsenal might have problems on scoring with him. So they may have a tactic focusing on the wingers and midfielders in the game. Let's see how it's going to end.
