What a mess this table is

No one can ever seem to capitalise on their chances

Looks like it went through a shredder

I was tripped about your table for a while there Cheesy. I checked from left to right like google shows and it looked like games were different, but the points and basically everything else looked correct so I was confused, was even getting ready to tell you that is not the latest standing. Now I realize the games are from right to left on yours, that is tripped me off a bit Cheesy.

In any case this week was definitely one of the weakest ones in recent memory, I can tell you that I haven't seen this much disappointment in a weekend than this one, I have lost almost all the money I wagered this week, only City game helped me a bit but that wasn't nearly enough in the total, didn't even recover 10% of what I wagered. Not much we can do though, we just have to accept the fact that this was a bad week and just look for the next games and hope we do a lot better with them.

Full-time: Crystal Palace 1-1 Leicester City

A very bold approach by Palace after a bad defeat to Aston Villa in their last match, while Leicester struggles in front of goal continues as they had to fight back from a goal down after Ihenacho had his penalty saved by guatai.

Manchester city game with everyone has been postponed while Chelsea battles Aston Villa at the Stamford Bridge

If Everton had all their top players available I would put something on them for sure but as it stands they will miss several key players. They are missing Digne, Rodriguez and Richarlison for sure and if by any chance DCL has started to feel fatigue, after all he played all the games full 90 minutes this could be a tough one for them.

On the other side you have City where players like Aguero and Mahrez did not even play in the last game and are just waiting to show they deserve a place in the first team.
Playing against Manchester City is always difficult, you rightly said, because of the great rivalry in the team, the players play every match to their maximum recoil, and Guardiola loves to use pressure. But Everton plays very well at home, they will miss the help of the fans today, but they good play and look good at home. Today's game will not be easy for Manchester.

Watching live Crystal Palace vs Leicester and it is 0:0 but interesting match with chances for both side, and I expect Leicester to win in second half, maybe Vardy will come in from bench just to score Smiley
Jamie Vardie is a key player from Leicester and now on the bench I expect to enter the field early and don't wait for late time he often scores stoppage time for Leicester to win.

Chelsea must win here against Aston Villa after they lost match against Arsenal just few days ago, and h2h suggest they will win today especially if we know that Villa is missing some players because of red cards and injuries.
Aston Villa is not an easy opponent even Chelsea can struggle to win it but this is playing at home so it must be better than the previous match after losing yesterday and now have to play again, maybe this is really tiring in the EPL league.

In fact, I have seen in the media Timo Werner saying that playing in the EPL is more difficult than what was imagined in my previous league, so maybe he is under pressure.

^  Chelsea vs Aston Villa feels like a draw.  Dunno..  Chelsea has been misfiring lately and Aston Villa on the other hand has been looking good in their last 4 fixtures.

if chelsea play in a pathetic way that they played against the arsenal then today they could also lose against Aston Villa. what is stranger is that chelsea have players who play well, but have problems with defense and miss the opportunity to score when they have a chance. at least in this party time I will not place bets because I am losing money

My predictions -

C Palace vs Leicester - Away win
Chelsea vs A Villa - Home win
Everton vs Man City - Away win

they are very unpredictable games and very unstable teams. Chelsea can lose against Aston villa or draw and City Is another team that when the person thinks they are going to win they lose. everton can beat opponents that one might think they couldn’t beat. that's why I won't place any bets on these games until those party time are over

it would be great to win over City and get the same points as Liverpool, watch out tonight, quote is @6.8-7.3 on Everton, they are actually playing home against team that is obviously better, but below them on the table, I will put some upset on my list, will see how that is going to turn out

I really can't stand Sam Allardyce and his prehistoric football. Especially when he takes important points off of us - and he has a knack of doing just that.

Found this on Twitter, not sure if it's true - too lazy to check. But I have a feeling it is, every time I think about a game where we lost points at home I see him laughing on the sidelines.

Quote
Sam Allardyce has now won more points at Anfield (5) since April 2017 than all 'Big Six' teams combined (4).

A third of all points won by visiting teams in that timeframe have been by teams managed by Allardyce.

I'm living for the day when he retires.

Perhaps also a little underestimation of Liverpool and laziness, who thought they would pull that 1-0 over the line. I hope they learned something from it.

you learn a lot from mistakes like this one, but only when it matters, and Wolves made to matter less with a late goal against Tottenham, so we can expect more lazy end from Liverpool
nevertheless, seeing Toffies at just three points behind is really nice Smiley

Liverpool better get a second goal before WestBrom hit them with an unlikely late equalizer. It's hard to believe they haven't gotten another goal yet with 80% ball possession.
Second half doesn't look good for Liverpool, they have only possession but not a single shot on goal. WBA actually looks much more dangerous and they had one great chance already. This could end bad for Liverpool easy, they just can't make a good opportunity in second half. Still leading 1:0 so that is something with only 10 minutes to go.

Oh well, It all square at Anfield, Liverpool should ended the game earlier but they lacked the cutting edge and this might hunt them, there is barely 2 minutes plus stoppage time to go...

This is probably it, I don't see further any late drama here tonight  Undecided Undecided
Called it perfectly, I am just mad at myself for not putting some money on WBA to score around 75th minute. It was in the air. Livepool made their only good chance after WBA equalized but Firmihno missed the goal with a header from good position. Sad thing is that this result is actually deserved, WBA was a better team in second half.

Perhaps also a little underestimation of Liverpool and laziness, who thought they would pull that 1-0 over the line. I hope they learned something from it.

this was a bad round for me:

Leycester 2 - 2 manchester united

in this game i was very convinced that manchester united would win and that is why i bet on manchester united instead of having placed a bet from both teams score and lost money  Angry

Fulham 0 - 0 Southampton

another draw that made me lose money.  Angry

Liverpool 1 - 1 west bromwich

another draw that made me lose money.  Angry

I only managed to make a profit in 3 games and at the end I still have losses

@Slow death yea this week was really bizarre and as I said in the other thread the theme of the Premier League was to play out a draw, and this is not the kind of football we fans wanted to see. Also I don’t know if this theme will continue in the games ahead, but if it does then it’ll very annoying for the fans.

This is the only match i made a bet on that day in football and mostly everyone was betting heavily on Manchester United and i too made a bet luckily i went with draw no bet and hence i did not loose the money. Was furious when Tuanzebe deflected the ball that went inside and that stupid pass when Fernandes was down on the ground.

Today we have Chelsea and Aston Villa, i might go with over 2.5 goals and i am expecting a draw.

Everton and Manchester City, might go with both teams to score.

I forgot what's the proper way to bet during the holidays when teams are playing every 48 hours and players are completely exhausted...are you supposed to go with upsets or total goals?  Cheesy

if it's upsets then i'm f*cked today cos i have Chelsea and Leicester to Win in two singles :/ gonna avoid Everton - City, the former found their groove again and are going through an unbeaten run. City on the other hand have been pretty underwhelming in away games this season (3W 3D 1L) but should never count them out, this particular match feels like a toss up despite what the bookies are saying

Match day Matches in the EPL

Crystal Palace - Leicester
Chelsea - Aston Villa
Everton - Manchester City

Leicester and Palace will be looking to come back from bad performances from the weekend, with Palace suffering a terrible loss away at Villa and Leicester forcing a 2-2 draw with Manchester united after conceding first each time. A rare Palace winner ? or another leicester draw ?

Chelsea struggling side face high flying Aston villa side and i see them suffering loss again, a close win for Villa as they pile more misery on Lampard boys.
Everton should be able to hold Manchester city to a draw; the team seems to have found its rythm since reshaping the squad to play n function without james, digne and allan.
if Chelsea who already lost twice in the last 3 games drop points tonight against Aston Villa whom has been performing well as they won 3 times in the last 4 matches in the league if it happened the blues would enter a stage of doubt, first for not winning for a long time, and secondly, summer consolidations began to become normal after they were very distinctive in the past weeks. The pressure is great on Lampard. So there is high risk of Chelsea dropping points at this game as their confidence has been shaken by the way they lost to Arsenal, while Villa will head to the capital full of optimism after another dominant victory. Both teams have only 48 hours to recover from their respective Boxing Day matches. Better to wait for Chelsea to rise again and then bet on it so today I will bet on both teams to score.

Premiership's players are crying for rest! Watched a few games in the last two days and some of them looked completely exhausted! I usually do not feel any compassion for these overly paid champions but these days they are being asked too much; and if you look at the results, my critic is quite clear.

I would not consider bad a draw with Manchester United as Manchester is in relatively good form during this year. However for the game of today I think Leicester is going to win the game as Palace lately have let their guard down a lot.Everton vs Manchester City is unpredictable but a narrow win from the Citizens is the most likely outcome for me.
