Chelsea, the super champion, they deserved it .
Kepa, who did not accept the exit one day, has today become Tuchel's winning card in the coronation.
Villarreal lost the title, but earned respect with his steadfastness.
Tuchel continues to win championships with the Blues.
But the sad thing is for Ziyech. After a very difficult first season, he was finally getting back to his best, and he gets injured again.
And still even without Lukaku Tuchel didn't start Werner and he opted to play Havertz infront with Pulisic and Mount behind him.
I honestly thought they were going to lose it for a second. As a team who finished the league at 4th, was it? And finals at FA cup, then won the UCL, they were really awesome last year.

However this game was the first serious game of the season with the roster and they did not look good at all. Villareal is not a bad team, they were the ones who managed to beat United who came in second at Premier league but this was a big shocking to see Chelsea having so much hard time at midfield.

Premier league is the most watched league in all of the world but they are not really THAT good, sure they are good but not THAT good, I honestly think that teams from UK are barely any better than other leagues but for some reason they are watched a lot. United + Liverpool + Chelsea + City combined have 12 champions league titles, Real Madrid has 13, and even without the old ones, they just had 3 in a row very recently. Premier league needs to get better, they are spending so much money and yet they are not dominating anything.

Tottenham are in talks with young Inter striker Lautaro Martinez (23) now. Maybe they are thinking of the possibility that Manchester City can still sign Harry Kane this summer and they want to have a backup plan for that. But as Inter have sold Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea, I assume that they wouldn't be willing to sell Martinez also.
If Kane eventually leave for Manchester City, Tottenham will need a vigorous player to replace him. According to Report, Tottenham is willing to pay £60m for Lautaro Martinez. He have been in Inter since 2018, and scored 17 goals in Inter last season, and also contributed to the success of the club last season. I will really like to see him play in the Premier League, but it seems Inter won't sign him out. They sold Lukaku to Chelsea, and won't want to lose another talented player.

Inter knows how valuable Martinez is for them currently. They already were unable to hold Lukaku and now they lacks a player in that position who can hang in other end of the pitch and score goals for them. Martinez is the one of the main players who delivered for them last year and hence are holding him now. Reports are they are also having talks with Martinez's agent about contract extension so Martinez is going nowhere.

Yes now that it is confirmed, the only thing we can be watching out for are the big Champions League games. I doubt a lot of people will watch whole Ligue 1 games because Messi is there. At least I don't and I also didn't because of Mbappe or Neymar. I will follow the top scorer list and maybe some summaries of the games just to see in the highlights how Messi is doing. What's actually interesting are the Champions League games. PSG vs. Barcelona, or PSG vs. Manchester City! That's what I am hoping for. Oh, and of course PSG vs. Juventus, Messi vs. Ronaldo! Wink
Juventus will be beaten by PSG if they have to face with each other. I don't underestimate the defenders of Juventus but PSG are very strong and their players are younger.

PSG vs Manchester City is a more balanced pair and I can not choose what team will win. It depends on their form around that match and player resources they have for it. Their players have same quality level.

PSG and Manchester City will be two biggest candidates in Champions League 2021 - 2022 from what they got from the transfers in this summer. PSG looks to have a wiser transfer strategy than Manchester City. Wilnandum, Ramos, Messi, they got all of them as free transfers. I feel PSG are repeating what Juventus did years ago with Pirlo, Pogba, etc.
A crazy squad like manchester city will always become a favorite to win any trophy and thats a nice line to get some money for bookies,  i wont deny that but for those who put a bet on title race.. well terrible odds waiting for you on manchester city to win the premier league and or the champions league.

i always wish a blackhorse like leicester city or aston villa could grab that prrstigious trophy and shocks everyone.
aston villa to win the prem this season? worth a try!

But Kane was not exactly vigorous himself though? I love him and he is the best we have ever had for sure but even as a supporter I cannot say he is the most vigorous player. He ran hard when needed but he is a pure striker at Spurs, waiting for service and doing his best to pull defenders apart. Same as Lukaku, pure striker.

To be honest, I think it's only a matter of money, since without an additional exchange, 100 million pounds does not seem like such a big amount for Kane. The transfer window closes in about two weeks, so the return of Gary Kane to the club's location could be a tactical move, and the fact that Kane is not included in the lineup against Manchester City is perhaps nothing more than a test of Tottenham's forces. For sure, it is only clear that Kane, with his psychological tricks, will definitely come out of this situation as a winner, even if he continues to play for Spurs, (I'm talking about his appeal to the fans).

There are only five days left for the Tottenham - Manchester City game. This is the match of the week I think. Both of these teams would like to start the season really good by getting a win. And I see City being closer to a win. They were already very strong before signing Grealish. Now, there are still rumours about Harry Kane going to City. This would mean that they will be even near unstoppable in the league.

Now in this game, they are absolutely the favorite side and I believe that they will defeat Tottenham.

After City spent a whole lot on Grealish, I don’t think they’ll be spending another huge amount on just one player.  They’ll still prolly be in the market looking for a striker..  But they’ll be going for somebody cheaper than Kane.

I think so. Manchester City have spent a lot of money on Grealish. Now if they want to take Harry Kane to the team, they will have to spend a lot of money again. If they were willing to spend so much money on Harry Kane, then Guardiola could have brought Messi to his team. Harry Kane's arrival in Manchester City seems to be a complete rumor.

Nope it’s def not a complete rumor.  City really does want Kane and they’re even willing to pay a sum up to 100m for him.  It’s Daniel Levy who doesn’t to open negotiations with any club for Kane.  He’s either doing that to increase the transfer fee or he prolly just wants to hold him in the club even though Kane has already expressed his desire to leave.

Here’s the link to a fun game at FJ.  Guess 7 correct goal scorers every week and win 10k USD if you have all 7 right.  Smiley

Last season, Wilnandum, Ramos, and Messi all struggled in the tournament, so how certain are you that combining them on one side will inevitably win them the title? Chelsea was the least popular team to win the champions league last season, despite having the most Academy players they conceded only four goals during the competition. PSG, Manchester City, and Juventus have been established. They have the players but team spirit is still lacking.

It doesnt mean that City should have just sign Messi because they want him on the team. Manchester City main focus is to win the title and not to make a fortune by signing Messi. You cant just simply win the league and UCL by signing Messi because City needs a striker to fill in Aguero's spot and their next target would be a striker

Good point!!!  Eleven Messi can not win a trophy they will need a good keeper, good defenders and a sharp striker to stand a chance

The Premier league is bad Lads, who is winning this? Can Manchester City defend their title can Liverpool be the challengers of this season.

I think Manchester City are normally top favorites for the title again. Liverpool can also compete for the title, but they can also only finish 5th. team is way too variable. much is expected from Manchester United after last season. it is already a while ago since we saw united winning the title.
Too many transfer rumours coming from Manchester City and if this is true,, I see this to be bad for current players as they will not be in the game as they will be worrying about their future at the club. And this season might see a turn of events as most clubs have made several changes with their teams .

Inter Milan will certainly miss Lukaku. Lukaku or not can be the difference between becoming champion and for example 4th place. He made a lot of progress last season. Eriksen is also vulnerable. I don't rule out the possibility that he will pull back.
Inter will find it difficult to replace him, because the guy  was incredible last season with them.I heard they have brought in Edin Dzeko who is 35 already,a temporary replacement I see won't be able to fit in exactly as Lukaku did.Inter Milan will definitely be affected if Lautero Martinez is sold amid reports Arsenal and Tottenham are monitoring him.It will be really bad if they let the both strikers leave.

I'm not sure how City will be able to afford Kane and be within fair play rules after signing Grealish. They're also leaving it late, especially since they're playing each other in the first round.

~snip~

I also worry about it. Because Manchester City have spent 100 million pounds to be able to sign Jack Grealish. It must hit their finance hard. Of course, I don't know how much transfer budget they had before signing Grealish. But this pandemic period has affected nearly all of the clubs. So, the clubs don't want to spend incredible amount of money and be under the risk of staying out of the financial rules.

If City can take Harry Kane in the team then why couldn't they take Messi in the team?

Harry Kane has shown his interest on leaving Tottenham for another club in Premier League in order to have a chance to win the Premier League however Messi didnt show any interest on joining any of the Premier League team

I think Guardiola could have taken Messi in the team if they wanted.

Harry Kane may not be interested in staying at Tottenham. He wants to go to any club in Manchester City. Who will assist him in winning the title. Kane should not be forced into the team in this situation. Tottenham will make a lot of money selling him. They will be able to better organize their team with young players.
I'm sure Manchester City might be interested in signing him but either way Manchester City have to balance their spending so far after they signed Grealish. If Manchester City insist on signing Kane, I'm sure they will get attention because of Financial Fair Play. City may have plenty of money to sign Kane, but they should consider limiting his spending if they don't want to be punished.

If City can take Harry Kane in the team then why couldn't they take Messi in the team? I think Guardiola could have taken Messi in the team if they wanted. He is no longer interested in spending extra money. Looks like he's happy to have Grealish on the team. Harry Kane is one of the best players in the Premier League. Ordinary spectators like me would have been happy if Guardiola had Kane on his team.
Messi's case is something very fast and unpredictable and therefore I think it's only natural that Pep doesn't want Messi, because even before that Messi had decided to stay at Barca until there was a rule in LaLiga that Messi couldn't be kept there. I'm sure if City still haven't brought Grealish then it looks very likely City to bring Messi but yes, I think in PL players with old age are not so prioritized and I think that's also the main reason why City really want Kane because young age certainly has potential better over time.

Finally, the Premier League starts tomorrow. The first game is Brentford - Arsenal. Brentford are one of the new teams of this season in this league. They had a really good season in the Championship. They managed to promote to this league after playoff games. And I guess that they would like to start the season with a nice victory. When it comes to Arsenal side, they have been searching for a new striker. They want to get rid of Lacazette as soon as possible. And they had a not very good season as they ended at the 8th place. I wonder how good they will play in this one.

I think that both teams will score. But I'm not sure about which side can win.
true as you said, because all of us are very difficult to predict the English league,, but I think brenfort will come out as champion, and be able to beat arsenal, because of the habit that we often see, the team that just promoted to league 1, they play without a burden, while a big team like arsenal definitely has a big burden, and their manager wants the first win, another reason arsenal can't win, because arsenal doesn't know the opponent's weakness..

Manchester City are planning to offer new contract deals to their main goalkeeper Ederson and Phil Jones. Actually, there have been some rumours about Phil Jones which he will be in the players-to-sell list this summer. But it seems like they have changed their mind. Phil Jones was a really good defender a long time ago but he struggled with injuries too much. And it affected his career also.
Phil Jones is a Man Utd player not Man City player, he has not been having a regular playing time with Man Utd since the arrival of Maguire and coupled with injuries, he should sign for another EPL club or alternatively go on loan to enjoy a regular playing time, just like Jesse Lingard last season after all he just signed a contract till 2023, having been in the team for long, Man Utd has Bailly, Raphaël Varane and Lindelof in central defence which may limit his starting of matches,
Ederson has been very influencial to the success of Man City title last season he really deserve his contract renewal based on his performances.

Sorry, I posted it when I was a little asleep.  Grin  I've just realized what I wrote. Phil Jones is in Manchester Utd's players-to-sell list as far as I know. As he struggled with injuries so much, they want to send him from the team. Maybe we can see him at a different English club this summer. He is not a bad defender still, but not a very good one also.

City are the strong favourites to dominate everything this season, even without Kane, which I'm not sure they'll manage to bag before the start of the season if at all. Maybe it'll have to be in the next transfer window but with Kane having so long left on his contract I can't see him going unless City meet what Spurs want for him and I'm not sure how City will be able to afford that.

PSG v City in the final would be a great one. If PSG don't win everything this year then I don't even know what to say. Ligue 1 should be a given but they didn't bag it last year.
