Looking for an alternative to Kevin De Bruyne should be the main focus of Manchester City if they’re still going to keep him for the next season. I get that people may not feel like that's the case, and I respect that, and I can't say much about it, but at the end of the day, it's just the truth and there is nothing we can do about it, it's just how it is. I believe that Arteta is far greater, not even close, never liked ETH at all because he looks like someone who is not only a bad manager, but from what he has said on media days and interviews shows that he is probably not a good person neither.

This is why I think it's important to figure out how to be a good person if you want to be a manager, that's what managing means, you need to manage the players, being head coach gives you responsibilities beyond just formation and strategy, you need to do a lot more and ETH has never mastered those kind of skills.

Pre-season matches are mostly trials to test new players for the senior team, if they play well then it will be Pep Guardiola's consideration to call them up to the senior team, otherwise they won't make the first squad.
But as this match was fun to watch because it produced 7 goals in this match even though Man City lost, Pep Guardiola will not mind it maybe it is testing a new strategy.

It seems that the current pre-season matches are not much in favor of the big teams, previously Liverpool and Manchester United experienced defeats against their opponents, but if we look at the squads that Liverpool and Manchester United fielded they were actually better than the opposing teams squads, both teams actually fielded most of the main players but instead they suffered a painful defeat from a team that was not well known at all, Manchester City fielded the majority of their young squad and reserves in that match but it looked like they were still able to dominate the match, but a defeat is still a defeat and I think Guardiola should still try evaluate their squad play after the defeat.

Normally, preseason matches are always played in order to know the strength of some players and to test them with big players in the team. The quality of play those young players exhibited has made him to be able to quantify the players to know how well they can do in big games when the season begins.

If preseason games will be use to judge most of this teams then the big teams that are losing to them won’t be able to do anything when the season starts. Pep Guardiola is a great coach and a very tactical one for that matter, so I don’t think this result can be use to quantify him at all for the next season. Manchester City are still major league contender in the premier league and the champions league, this result is nothing to compare to what their performance will be next season.

That's the result you alwsys get when you put too much in your effort to help the team win the league. Just observed players that alwsys win the Premier League and the Champions League together or Champions League and any other domestic league, it's always difficult to perform very wholeheartedly the following season because of the injuries and that's exactly what happen to Kevin De Bruyne but was able to win Premier League the following year.

Kevin De Bruyne may have say a lot of comments regarding his move to other clubs but this are just for media opinion, if he want to leave Manchester City I'm sure he is going to be doing that already and doesn't have to come to the public to say what he feels like about their league and the amount a player can make from playing in Saudi Arabia.

Somehow I am not surprised that Liverpool and Manchester City have not been active in this transfer window while the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea have been active in the market and are making moves. Obviously we can see that they finished 8 and 6 respectively on the league table. You've to work on it and improve alot of things by strengthening those positions that lack quality. But how many improvements does a team that finished 2nd and 1st in 2 consecutive seasons need? I think maybe just a minor few tweaks here and there to elevate the already high level and become elite. Honestly, If Manchester City and Arsenal don't sign any player, I will still be confident that they’ll in top 2.
