You guys seem to forget that United usually buy somewhat unknown players that may turn out to be real stars and sell them for profit to other teams while City and Chelsea open the big bank accounts with the oil money and buy them outright  Cool Of course there are players that may flop but this is just normal.
I agree with this statement you can check history of Utd they buy many unknown players and then they become stars and they sell them with huge profit and this never happen to any other rich club of England
Its true, United have changed many unknown young players (with great talent), and get profit with that. But the difference is, Fergie never spent much money to get them. Thats made Ferguson be very special in Man United even Premier League.

United never buy unknown player they always buy potential player, that is different but they is now more like spending money for nothing, di maria, falcao and now martial, lets see how many money that they will keep spending for all this expensive players again

yes very different when times alex ferguson, which always bore the talent of young players and then they are sold at high prices.

Yes and they buy potential player at a cheap prize and not just like this martial 19 years old for huge prize. Anyone check his performance last night at the international france match? I can tell that this guy is no better than welbeck , that is a huge waste of money for united

ahh unfortunately I did not see the match last night, I'll be waiting when Manchester United vs Liverpool on September 12.

You can always see that from youtube, he play for the last 20 minutes so it wont be long for you to watch it. Nothing special with that 20 minutes and he only touch the ball for like 5 mins and the rest is just running forward with nothing at all

I'm thinking Liverpool even though missing sturridge will still win with a narrow margin

Man United are desperate that's the only reason they signed this Martial. He scored like 8 goals last season in the French league. It's a ridiculous fee for somebody who has proven nothing. He could turn out to be great but it's a risky signing & for that much money they should have signed a real star.

Maybe that was their problem though, they're not the team they once were under Alex Ferguson. United tried to sign Pedro, Muller, Benzema, Cavani, Neymar, Bale, Sergio Ramos & Otamendi & not one of them wanted to join them.

Maybe the stars don't want to join them so they have to develop their own e.g. Martial.

For me, this transfer seems like money laundering. it is strange that utd buy Martial, loan Falcao last year. players without good last season in Monaco. Martial price is dump from 5milion to 80milion for two years, without spectacular games.
also Di Maria, it seems that is not brought to the play, and too easily had disowned him with lost a lot of money.

Makes you realise how good players like scholes, giggs, rio et all were.  Without that golden generation of man united talent they cannot dominate anymore.

Its because of Fergie expertise in monitoring great talent players, which he has signed young star like Ronaldo, Rooney, Chicharito, Carrick, the 92' class, and many more in reasonable price. Using high amount of money to buy an unknown player isnt a wise transfer imo. With that price, I'm very sure Man United could get better and more popular strikers like Harry Kane or Lukaku.

That is right, that is a very big amount for 19 years old player and even alexis / pedro is cheaper than that or I think with that big amount they can even get mueller to the team and mueller is already one of the best striker

but if you have seen his performances for Monaco, you'll know this kid could be a star player

Star player? He is nothing but just a decent striker and thats all. I have a doubt that you dont even know about this at all, Id recommend you to check it out on youtube, check it for yourself and see if he is just a decent or another "star" to be player.

Lets face the fact of this anyway, Memphis Dempay is an international Dutch Player that has quite an outstanding record in the previous World Cup yet only cost cheaper than this " Anthony Martial " . Another sad fact is that most people dont even know this player exist until Manchester United signed him

Lets hope this will be a great transfer like what MU did when they bought CR7...no body knows what he (Anthony) can do for MU, but since I'm a fan of MU so I hope he will be hero from zero.. Smiley
