^  Mou to Newcastle could be close to a possibility of happening if the Shiek's cousin buys the club.  But knowing Mou, if it isn't Chelsea or Man United, I don't think he'll be managing another EPL club unless he's reeaallyy desperate for a job.
Mou, who said he would open talks with the new Newcastle club owner. I think it will be interesting if a star coach like Mourinho trains a club like Newcastle. Mourinho will definitely bring top players to Newcastle clubs if he becomes a coach there.

The talk that Mourinho is going to be Newcastle coach for the upcoming season of the Premier League is going on from sometime now.

I think that because of this ,a lot of talking regarding this topic we will see it come true in the coming weeks or maybe in the beginning of August but I think it should become official sooner than that.

Newcastle may have the money but they don't have the power to make good signings.
And coaches like Mourinho would ask the board to sign good and expensive players. Those players won't sign in a team that doesn't play in European Competitions like Europa League or Champions League. Thus I don't think Mou is going to join the club.

Which clubs did he turn down?  I only heard he turned down Juve (prolly cos he was at Inter in the past?).  I was hoping he'd go to PSG.  That at least would make that league a tad more interesting.  Tho I'm excited to see how AVB (Mou's protege) will do at Marsielle.  I hope he finds success and be a great manager that he should be.

It was during an interview, he didn't mention which clubs they were, so there is a chance he's bluffing.

“I know what I don’t want and that is the reason why I have had to say no to three or four different offers."

“I know what I want, not in terms of a specific club, but the nature of the job, and I am going to be waiting for that.”

Mourinho shouldn't be really desperate to get a job, he's made a name for himself already. I learnt he's turned down a couple of offers already.

I doubt Mourinho will be willing to take a job at Newcastle considering how much of an ego he has, but with more than enough money for transfers that he would afforded with, he might want to get back at his previous employees.

So what are you think about speculation on new Newcastle owners from The Bin Zayed Group?
will we have a new wealthy club in PL like Chelsea and City in the next few years?

The deal hasn't been done yet, but Mike Ashley is also a billionaire. That didn't do them any good. You have to have owners that are actually willing to spend money, but FIFA Financial Fair play rules were implemented after the stratospheric rises of teams like Manchester City and Chelsea so it's now going to be very hard for rich owners to simply come in and plough money into teams to make them into super squads. I think more should be done though because the damage has already been done and there are still loopholes that are ready to be exploited and huge teams will be experts in paying lawyers and accountants to find more ways of skirting any laws.

This guy apparently tried to buy Liverpool a couple of seasons ago & he couldn’t prove that he had the funds. I think he’s nowhere near rich as City’s & PSG’s owners.

Buying Newcastle will be a lot cheaper than Liverpool. Liverpool's owners are also probably pretty happy and don't want to sell whereas Mike Ashley doesn't seem that content with the club and I think he even called buying them a mistake.

^ Isn't one of the guys at Bin Zayed a cousin of Shiek Mansour, the oiler who owns City?  He could be big too.  And there's a rumor Mou could take over as manager.  Yes please.  Lolol.

If Mourinhio takes over Newcastle and gets them in the top five then I will call him one of the greatest managers  Cheesy. I don't think Newcastle will be willing to pay the wages he demands though. Mike Ashley certainly won't, unless Mou is willing to accept Sports Direct gift cards in exchnage for payment lol.

Anybody wanna do a bet?  My 30 (USD) for your 20 says City's gonna win the EPL next season.  Take your pick.  If another club wins besides ours, it's a draw.  Open to anybody trusted.  Smiley

Chelsea used to be wealthy.
I wouldn't compare this club with City. They  have cut spending a lot during the last years.
As far as Newcastle is concerned I would be happy to see another historic club reaching the top and being able to sign great players. I am in fond of it.
The competetion in the EPL now is too strong and the financial fairplay rules can go up against Newcastle so i don't think that can sign a bunch of big names at one trasnfer season like what used before i doubt that them to attract any major star at his peak of career they can bring lost likely aged stars that had contract run out and looking for a place that keeps paying them good money, so there is no chance to be in top 6 next season and for top 8 i really doubt them to be better then Wolves Everton and Leicester.

@Dia7 while you’re right about many things you’re forgetting that few years ago Manchester City was not a top club, suddenly they got a rich owner who pumped in money and then they became successful. Newcastle can repeat it too as all they need do is hire a top coach, and purchase quality players by giving them lots of money. Leicester is one team that’ll cause many upsets next season due to their coach, he has tons of experience and he can inspire them to finish in top 6 next season.

The sheikhs have improved the team that they have bought in most of the cases like we have seen with Paris St Germain and Manchester City.It will only be more beneficial to the Premier League if Newcastle becomes a strong candidate for the next season.

MU is always active in the transfer market and always brings great players who have fantastic prices. with that, MU is still unable to show the best in the Domestic league and also UCL, which means that their current problem is "coach".

Indeed, but they don't make the best deals.
They get players that they are out of form or they are in their career decline. I can't say that someone of the MU squad right now is a top-class player (meaning he can find a place in Real Madrid squad). They have problems in the coach position and signings as well.

Perhaps they don't give them enough time to adapt. I think coaches need time to adapt but i think United has turned in a Chelsea of sort where when a manager under performs for a season... He is sent away immediately.
Or we should blame Ferguson for being too good  Grin

I still think Moyes would have done something much better in United had be given enough time of 3-5 years with goal player signed.

Manchester United is a top club and they have to keep on buying players to match their goals, so not really sure why you’re making a fuss about them buying players. The real problem is Ed and the Board of Manchester United, they have got marketable players but not players who could help them win. When Jose Mourinho asked them to get Persic because he would provide the ball for Lukaku to score, they decline it cause Persic is not a global star. Ole has a massive job of rebuilding Manchester United, but I’m not sure how much time will he be given?.
