I've been very optimistic about Sheffield United all season and would be backing them to get the first victory of the return to EPL football as they travel to the Villa Park. Sheffield has only lost twice on the road and those defeats came against Liverpool and City who are the best two clubs in the league. 2.25 odds on a Sheffield win, adding O 2.5 goals on the arsenal-city fixture later could b nice picks for a parley.

On the Coutinho issue; he shouldn't be a pariah because of his decision to move to Spain. Football is a passion for players and fans, but for the players it's also professional and they have to make decisions to boost their careers, a move to one of the best teams in Europe was exciting to the Brazilian at the time and if he wants to return to Liverpool now and they need his services, then by all means the transfer should happen.

I would back Sheffield over Aston Villa any day too before or after lockdown.

Grealish is a really really good player,,, but he alone cannot save his team and Sheffield have Europe motivation which at the moment, is stronger to me even than relegation fear!

And agree on Coutinho, as I said, we would all have done the same thing, why punish him for being a normal guy?

Pep vs Arteta, (City Vs Arsenal) the former Manchester City assistant coach returns to the Etihad and the city boss is obviously looking forward to this encounter, Pep has said in his press conference that Arteta knows so much about the city team. Could there be an advantage for Arsenal tomorrow, because of Arteta's knowledge of how city plays, the tactics and balance of the team etc? He'll know all that after working as peps assistant for three seasons.

I agree that Could be an advantage for Arsenal, because Arteta already understands how Manchester City plays. And also Pep's way of thinking is
already known by Arteta, this will be a difficult match for Manchester City. I can't wait for this big match, I'm sure from the start the match between
the two teams will attack each other. I bet Arsenal will win this match with a score of 2-1.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Coutinho begged to be given another chance to return to Liverpool but the decision is in Jurgen Klopp's hands. Maybe this will be reconsidered and I think Coutinho is a talented player who might still be fit to be at Liverpool.
I am not a Liverpool fan but Coutinho should never be given any chance back at Liverpool. He should continue shallow his bitter pills when he decided to ditch Liverpool for Barca Glory. Besides Liverpool have a squad that is capable of going for 2 or 3 more good seasons. Coutinho's return may destabilize them unless if he's going to be a bench warmer.
It was too ambitious in making a decision for Countinho even though at that time he had a good performance but maybe he was satisfied to join Barcelona because he won the trophy but in fact they failed and sometimes became a reserve player. This fate is the same as Zlatan Ibrahimovic who did not have a successful career in Barcelona.

A lot of discussion about Coutinho and Man City vs the Gunners, but don't forget that there's another match today: The Villans vs The Blades. Does anyone care about this match? =P

Villa fighting to get out of the bottom of the league table (a win today means 16th place), while Sheffield could jump to the top 5 if they get the 3 points...Heh! A recently promoted team could be 2 pts behind 4th place Chelsea, and also above Man Utd, Spurs, and Arsenal...who saw that coming?  Roll Eyes

how about bets? anyone thinking of adding any of the games today to their bet slips?

I also agree that Coutinho does not need to be given another chance to join Liverpool. Because we see that the liverpool squad is very good for now, the absence of Coutinho is also not a problem. In the past it was true, Coutinho preferred Barcelona. And now maybe sorry, because liverpool is very unusual now.

To be frank, tomorrows game is an open one between both City and Arsenal. After 3 months off, the game will be decided by the fittest team and a team with flair and skill.
I see City flying high in tomorrow games, and also an Aubamayang strike.

Arteta having knowledge of City tactics and balance will have no effects in tomorrow game, once again, its an open match where the best team wins.

Opinions are divided among EPL fans over this possible return of Coutinho to Liverpool. Only Jürgen Klopp has the last word once the conditions are met.
If Coutinho achieves a perfect adaptation with the team it could be very positive for him and for everyone.

There are even 6 players who will return to Liverpool and I see in this news.

I wonder what Jurgen Klopp has to decide so that this can trigger others.

Coutinho had many chances until now with Liverpool,  Barcelona and Bayern but didn't use this chances well.
Hope he will reach top again in some other club.
Tottenham can be a good club for Coutinho but transfer fee is an issue. Tottenham has troubles with their taxes and I don't think Mourinho will have good transfer budget for the summer time. Coutinho has a play style looks good for Tottenham and Mourinho tactics. He does not dribble too much like other Brazillian players. In Premier League, I think only Tottenham can help Coutinho to find himself. Manchester United is so unstable and maybe Ole will lose his position at the end of this season.

I doubt if Coutinho can move to Tottenham, like you said, the possibility of Tottenham not being able to pay for his transfer fees is quite large.
If you see the latest news related to Coutinho, he is willing to reduce the amount of his salary in order to return to Liverpool. But the decision is
in Klopp hands, we'll see whether Coutinho can return to Liverpool or not. Actually I as an Arsenal fan, I hope Coutinho can join Arsenal But seeing
the Arsenal transfer policy, I was doubtful it could be realized.

Coutinho made one of the greatest mistakes in his life by leaving Liverpool and thankfully klopp did all he could to advice him but he didn't listen.

Shame about Coutinho really, he could have been one of the best attacking midfielders in the world if he stayed at Liverpool. The Barcelona transfer totally destroyed the momentum he was building in his career.

He was young and was on his prime, Anyone on his age and talent would be moving out to a better and bigger club. Liverpool was fourth on the league before he moved to barcelona. Liverpool wasnt the top club that anyone could expect to win the league with a huge margin . So I wont really blame his decision to move out.

Everything happens for a reason and Liverpool wont be the same as the current liverpool if Coutinho is still on the club. Things could be different if he is still there, probably they are not going to win the league , God knows what will happen .

Coutinho messed up indeed by leaving Liverpool at that time I think he was too ambitious thinking that he would shine at Barcelona unfortunately he couldn't pick up his form If he had stayed he would have been Liverpool midfield maestro thus that team will be a team to reckon with in Europe although Liverpool did well in his absence meanwhile his coming back won't make any difference due to dip in his form while the trio of Mane, Salah and Ferminho will still spearhead their attack leaving him with no option to fit into the team.

I agree with you.
It's to late for him now to return in Liverpool.
Liverpool have other great players now and don't need him.
Coutinho has had a lot of chances so far with Liverpool,  Barcelona and Bayern but he didn't make good use of the opportunity.

I think it is really unfair for people to say all these things about Coutinho. Yes he could have stayed but he was young like you said and going up. If anyone asks me, a foreigner in England, if I would like to play at the club of my dreams,,, I would say yes no matter what. He achieved his dream. It did not work out for the club is all.

Life can never be precisely predicted. Before Coutinho, we see Zlatan Ibra. who brought titles (Champions League) to clubs one season later the one he left those clubs. He left Inter Milan, Inter Milan won Champions League. He left Barca, Barca won Champions League, but nothing happened after he left PSG and Manchester United.

Coutinho needs to find a club that can help him finding his real ability on pitch. Liverpool has changed so much latest seasons so I don't know Coutinho can play well if he returns to Liverpool. Maybe Kloop and Liverpudians will give him warm welcome but only time and real matches can say how good he is for Liverpool.

indeed if we remember many of the top players who returned after being sold did not really provide the maximum role. I also would not think that would be a great transfer like when he first played for Liverpool, but we'll see, is it true that the rumors or Coutinho will reach an agreement with other EPL teams. let's wait for the results
