Jordan Sancho is said to be 120 million euro in value right now on transfarmarkt right now, it is really not that easy to get a player like that. Of course, he would be amazing in Liverpool but lets be honest he would probably be amazing anywhere he goes. I do not doubt his talents but I doubt if Liverpool could spend that much money during the worst financial situation of football has ever been in just to get one more player.

Liverpool is already leading the league in a record breaking point situation and I feel like maybe they would be just enough without any transfers and spending any money. That way they could just wait another year, already got the title, and just focus on next year, that way they could spend a lot less money or at least see how finances will be like.

@FanEagle there’s no doubt about Sancho quality but he’s not worth €120 million especially in the current transfer window, and if a club yet decides to buy him then that clubs will be Manchester United and not Liverpool.

Also another breaking news update for you’ll, and I’m expecting @tokeweed to shout in delight after reading that Dele Ali has been suspended for Tottenhams match against Manchester United, and this means that Tottenham will be weakened right from the start and Manchester United should easily win this fixture.

Quote

Dele Alli will miss Tottenham’s clash with Manchester United after being hit with a one–match ban by the FA for a social media post appearing to mock an Asian man.

Sancho would be a great signing for Liverpool, I’d love us to sign him, he’d fight with Mane, Firmino & Salah for a starting spot in the attacking positions. He’d cost a lot but he’s so young, he can be a top player for over 10 years.

Liverpool won their friendly match today: https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1271095928821342212

This might not seem like a big deal, but reminder that Wolves and Arsenal lost their respective friendly games, so..  Smiley

A minutes silence before games in an empty stadium?  Grin

The problem is piracy in Saudi Arabia, illegal transfer of Premiership matches to Saudi Arabia.

I was a little confused by your post. after I try to double check the references you mentioned using the translation tool, the main problem is broadcasting live streaming illegally for every match broadcast by BeIN, as the holder of broadcast rights in that country.

In my opinion, this decision is unlikely to be so influential, because live streaming piracy can be carried out by all countries that still have weak regulatory systems on this matter. however, this was a decision of a federation which certainly had good judgment.

I also think that illegal broadcasting have no significant impact because through many online websites you can stream your Premier League games to your Tv or any device of your choice nowadays and this is not a problem of Saudi Arabia but of all the world.

It has an impact as many people will just go for illegal streams than pay full price for legitimate content, but it seems a little weird that they're targeting them when there's plenty of other streaming services. It's alleged that the pirate TV station in question is Saudi funded but I haven't seen any concrete evidence for that. I don't think having teams owned by states is a good idea though. Sadly it will probably become more common as buying a football team is a good way to funnel money through so more oil based states like Russia and Saudi will start buying more. They probably will just start buying them through shell companies if they get denied. There's always ways to get around restrictions.

Its not really even about having bad regulations or anything, you can watch movies and tv shows because usually they are not live, whereas games are live, yet they do exist all around the world, you can find torrent of any movie you want. Which means even if you do not watch the games live, you know %100 chance you can download it and watch it a day later at worst.

On top of that, I know websites that have around 10 different language options for streaming games illegally, here I am in my country and I can watch the british broadcast of premier leagues whenever I want to. Normally it is aired only in UK and its not given to other nations, is there premier league games live on other nations? Sure there is but they are in their own languages, this is the OG live broadcast I am talking about and even that is available if you know where you are looking at.

So illegal streaming is a problem in EVERY nation, not just in some of them.

Although it is something common but it remain illegal. Not being caught doesn't mean they are fine for doing it unless they live in a country without specific regulations. Now when it comes to something broadcasted, sponsored or even founded by a government then this is another serious story. I believe there is a paper written by FIFA or another organisation i forget that confirms these claims and it will be published later AFAIK.
Personally I hope that MBS doesn't involve in Newcastle or any other club in major leagues with his bloody moneh.

It is related to BeIN, which hold the broadcast rights as you mentioned, being illegally hacked by BeOutQ which is running from Saudi Arabia and is believed to be state sponsored.
BeIN <> BeOutQ
Be=Be, In <> out and Q = Qatar which is under heavy pressure and isolation from KSA, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt. Of course you know the human rights of those countries, money laundering...
The problem of Newcastle raised since people trying to get it are related to Mr chainsaw (MBS) if not himself in person...which is disgusting, shameful and a disgrace for everyone.

According to the English Mirror, Premiership management will stop selling Newcastle United to an investment fund owned by the Saudi prince.

It seems that Newcastle United will not become the new Chelsea or Manchester City after all.

Saudi Arabia has some appalling human rights records too so it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Football shouldn’t just be about who has the richest owner. Small to medium sized clubs shouldn’t be able to just buy their way to the top through a rich sugar daddy.

I hope this will not have an effect to PL restart.
It won't. It was a team from the championship.

Results of testing of ppl directly involved with PL teams came out yesterday: One person tests positive for coronavirus from 1,213 Premier League players and staff just days from restart

Unless something important happens (health officials in UK decide to call everything off, or an entire PL team tests positive for this virus), we're good to go  Cool

Interesting discussions. We said that was weird the Newcastle thing never quite getting closed out.

Cant wait for things to get restarted.

I'm excited for the total reset we have had. You know you didn't do something you love in ages. Whatever it is its extra nice.

I bet there will be some amazing games as players release all their pent up aggression and eagerness to just play.

I'm also wondering how much the reset will level the playing field so to speak.

It might be about which teams can adapt quickest to the new rules and ways.

Let hope things like this last minute match cancellation don't  come along and ruin it for us all.

I agree that Liverpool would be a better option for Werner in terms of playing style. They play a more direct type of football and Werner could also play as a winger on some occasions.
They will expect a lot from him at Chelsea because their striker options are average at best.

He picked Chelsea because Liverpool withdrew from the transfer, they said they are in a good position with their squad and do not wish to risk big money transfers due to coronavirus crisis.

Chelsea already had player dissatisfactions because they cut their wages and then spent almost 50 mil on Werner. Liverpool did not want that to happen.
Werner does not match the playing style of Liverpool that is fast, energetic. If there are players in the Bundesliga that Liverpool should finish a transfer, it should be the Jardon Sancho. He is a very great youth talent and he have even moved so fastly into the top greatest players. Sancho and Mbappe will be another Messi - Ronaldo in the next few years if they will be able to maintain their training, motives and won't fall into shit traps of things beyond football.

The issue with Sancho transfer is it will be a very expensive transfer. I think Liverpool should give a try with the transfer because having an England player is always good for one of greatest club in the Premier League, like Liverpool.

Personally, I don't think Werner will bring so many good things to Chelsea squad and play important role in the tactics of Chelsea next season.

I hope this will not have an effect to PL restart. It is good to know that quick tests are possible and cancellation on time if there is a risk. I may be pessimistic but I think there will be more of this when the game restarts and we have more contacts and tests.

"Manchester United were forced to cancel their friendly with Stoke at the last minute after the Championship side's manager Michael O'Neill tested positive for coronavirus."

Yeah it will be a bit unfair, but also look at the money they will get in return,I also heard a news that the director of Leipzig denied that they haven't come to an agreement with Chelsea, I don't know if its a false news tho, let's just wait till the end of the season and see how far they go in the champions league, but to be honest I think werner joining Chelsea is a bad idea, for me Liverpool would have been the best choice, but I think he wants to be among the first line up, and Liverpool can't give him that because the front three  have already established themselves, but he can get a first team shirt at Chelsea, so maybe that's why he picked Chelsea over Liverpool.

So I agree with you @Brainboss, only city can compete with Liverpool for now, I cannot imagine an EPL season without city, if that can be one of the punishments they may get, I heard it could be points deduction, not a PL ban.

City is indeed a club that can compete fiercely to the LFC, but there is a possibility that clubs like Chelsea, AFC, or Man United will experience changes in the game and strategies that will allow them to return to good performance to compete in the next season.

Manchester United? No, that's unlikely to happen. Their player management has been poor since Alex Ferguson's departure. Chelsea are one of the clubs who are likely to benefit from any poor form from any of the current top two clubs or as a result of their hardwork. For the past decade they (Chelsea) hasn't be left out of the party when it comes to winning trophies, premier league trophies been included.

Any current development from AFC Bournemouth that makes you think they're likely to deliver an impressive performance next season? Tried googling but not getting any impressive result and hope you weren't referring to winning trophies because that's unlikely to happen.

No disrespect to any club (my club Chelsea included) but judging from the way this current season has been going before the stop due to the pandemic. Only Manchester City are capable of competing head to head with Liverpool for next season trophy and the competition would definitely become boring without them playing. You could see how this season was just one sided which one of the major contributor to that happening is due to Manchester city not having a fit squad unlike their previous two seasons.

The two year ban is enough punishment and won't want more punished especially in the premier league. I want to enjoy next season like that of 2018/2019 season and not rewatch another boring one sided season.

Well, the problem is if we allow City and Liverpool like this, and we do not do anything about it, then we might become another La Liga of Real/Barcelona.

Actually we have to look at ourselves. You Chelsea and me Spurs. Chelsea need to stop spending for the sake of competing and spending for long term view. Spurs need to spend better as well and really bring our youth up and fix squad mentality which is so poor.
