Another awesome time to be part of Qortal. Fantastic Job and Congrats to the Qortal Team for the Dogecoin Implementation and the UI Improvements.

As announcement states, new versions 1.6.0 (core) paired with 1.5.0 (UI) now with DOGE trading on the Trade Portal (cross-chain P2P trading).

Many other improvements also included.


Auto-update of the core has not taken place yet. You can update manually from github - https://github.com/qortal/qortal/releases and https://github.com/qortal/ui/releases

The auto-update of the core will take place soon. The UI currently has auto-updates disabled until we enable it again. So must be updated manually in order to see the new DOGE wallet/trading.


There are many visual modifications and improvements coming in the next release. This release is the first, basic DOGE coin wallet and trading support.

This is an amazing project. Been using the Qortal decentralized internet for about a week . It is truly amazing. Has very active development on git. The team and community are amazing. Love what you are doing. Keep it up. They have a clear path to decentralized domain hosting. The trade portal is in fact a TRUE decentralizes exchange. They have a very neat  low carbon footprint “minting “ reward structure. The decentralized Q-chat is a lot of fun. The UI is elegant with a strong low power consuming core. All around great project with a bunch of much needed decentralized utilities . Currently we established a “bitcoin eco “ group on Qortal . So join us on Qortal@bitcoin eco.

Good job crowetic. been back over weeks since jrel_291 came out and the loading problems with the auto jrel_281 crashed my Qortal.exe

However I expected to be in the hundreds of QORT by now and Level 2... I leave on almost 24/7... I wish there was a way to catchup but I've fallen behind aand I was here early with Traxo

Thanks bro! It has certainly been a ride to get here, but I'm feeling very confident about the future now! Everything is coming together quite well both in the Core and the UI. I think we can expect some exciting new features, new coins, and a lot more in the very near future. Stay tuned, Qortal is about to get VERY exciting! The new internet is very near.

ANNouncement - new Qortal Core and Qortal UI versions released officially and auto-update for core to 1.5.5 approved! (UI changes to auto-update discussed below)


As mentioned above... there are new versions of both the Qortal Core and the Qortal UI that have been released! You can always check on https://qortal.org for the latest links (I will update the OP as well shortly.).

A few things to make note of...

1. The new UI will NOT auto-update for the time being... we have made a bunch of changes to the UI, including the way the UI auto-updates. So for the current time, only the Qortal Core will auto-update. You will need to update the UI MANUALLY by downloading the installer for your OS and performing the update... until we work out the UI auto-updates and re-enable them.

2. The Qortal Core will always auto-update via a group-signed transaction by the on-chain developer group. That will continue.

3. You may notice the development 'speed' will be picking up here in the near future on both the Core and the UI... this is because of some awesome new contributors who are now helping with the project. We are forever grateful to these new contributors! Any other developers who would like to assist us are always welcome! Remember QORTAL IS A COMPLETELY COMMUNITY-DEVELOPED AND RUN PROJECT AND ANYONE IS FREE TO CONTRIBUTE IN ANY WAY THEY CAN!



On another note, Crowetic Hardware Development, LLC. has been formed, and will start selling the QORTector and QORTable devices in the near future. We are working out some details for payment processing and other little things now, and have the brand new QORTector Gen 2 (SSD and Fan-enabled version) in production now!  Stay tuned, a lot more to come!

I am not sure what 1.5.4 has to do with running on a VPS, but more power to you if you want to run another node on VPS along with your Brooklyn-powered Pi.

Everyone is already aware that the Gen 1 QORTector didn't go as expected. Everyone who paid for one in the pre-sale, got 500 QORT (which is already worth well over what they paid, essentially double), a pre-leveled minting account at level 3 (which would have minted them quite a bit more on top of the double-refund), and they will be getting a Gen 2 device once we're done establishing the company (which I will be doing within the next week now that we're finally back on top of things after all the nonsense.)

So, if you're going to come in and vomit in a thread with a bunch of nonsense, maybe pick one where your nonsense will at least be PARTIALLY true? I guess, unless you LIKE looking like a total tool. If that's the case, totally up to you to continue doing so.

-ANN- New Qortal Core version 1.5.1 released - new consensus kicks in Sunday May 9th!

Auto-update has already taken place - if you are on the old version and running you will update automatically. If you are on the old version and bootstrap past the update block you will need to update manually. All links on website and ANN have been updated!

We are really stoked about the new consensus, and I've also come up with a way for the Trade Portal to have a 'buy side' AND reduce the amount of AT processing necessary by quite a bit.


More details will come soon on those points.

As the title mentions, the new version 1.5.2 of the Qortal Core has been officially released on Github.

The auto-update will be approved shortly by the required number of developer signers, and take place soon.

- Rework of the repository export and import functions - fixes recent trade portal issues
- Tightened up the synchronizer, in order to reduce the number of 2-5 block re-orgs
- Bumped bitcoinj version from 0.15.6 to 0.15.10
- Fixed price API so that it uses the last 10 trades only. Previously it used EVERY trade that had ever happened.
- Added optional "maxtrades" parameter to the price API, to specify a number other than 10.
- Added new "minPeerVersion" and "allowConnectionsWithOlderPeerVersions" settings to ignore or block peers on older versions
- "maxRetries" moved to settings
- New /blocks/byheight/{height}/mintinginfo API
- Fixed exception that could happen when syncing from genesis
- Reduced frequency and level of some synchronizer logs.
- Added AT count to block debug logs.

He is correct Crowetic, the Qortal website shows in the source. This means you are telling search engines not to index the website.

Simple fix. In Wordpress admin, under Settings > Reading, make sure "Search engine visibility - Discourage search engines from indexing this site" is not checked
