I'm new here. What's all about this merit count? How is it earned? I'm assuming it's linked to the quality/usefulness of your posts/replies? Their originality maybe? What are usually the subjects you'd get the more merit for posting about?
you must to learn how to make a very good post because without learning how to make a good post I don't think that you'll be able to understand the system of ranking in this forum because a quality post is the thing that gives a merit whoever that is a quality writer does not lack merit and the person does not search for merit it is a merit that will look for the person, that is why everybody continue to let everyone know who is new person in the community to learn how to make a constructive post that is meaningful post that is not meaningful does not attract a merit

Good contribution and opinions to post can also earn you merit. Just as he said, as a newbie, learning should come first and gradually as you know more about the crypto space, making post and contribution becomes easy. With this merit will keep looking for you and not you looking for merit.
Adapt to a strategy, push oneself to be above others and bringing on the tremendous posts, they earned points based from the viewers. We should ensure we're always abiding to the available rules that govern the system, putting through the difficult and building phase. Merits are earned based on the quality of your posts, and let me give OP this little piece of advice, never be in a tight corner where you're too desperate for Merits because there are consequences for any actions leading to farming of merits.

Rather i would like to suggest just start reading the forum where you are more interested and if you found questions asked there.

He may be reading without learning, but when he is determined to make the reading a conscious effort on learning, then there could be an improvement on the level of his knowledge about bitcoin, then with time he would have realized that he has also improved in so much and begin to give quality posts, in so doing, other members will see such and give merits to any post they found meeting up with their own standard.

The only quick way to get merits is to keep writing good topics and not to overwrite in a way that will make people to think that we are Spamming. As a newbie in the community, you don't have to be too desperate because it is going to be noticed with the way we react to comments and give opinions. Merits is not something we need to be too desperate to get but one thing we need to do is to create reputation by the way we write and responds to comments.

Good contribution and opinions to post can also earn you merit. Just as he said, as a newbie, learning should come first and gradually as you know more about the crypto space, making post and contribution becomes easy. With this merit will keep looking for you and not you looking for merit.
But don't forget also in order to make good posts and contributions one must first take out time and contribute also by reading and evolving one's self because thats the only way to make good posts, lack of reading will keep your mentality and thinking stuck within a particular range and this will prevent you from making quality posts but when you expatiate your reading capability this thought and wisdom of making good and Lucrative contributions will find it way to surface without any efforts.

First of all, I welcome you for being new to the forum.

And now we are talking about how "work is required for merit." So simply is that you should participate in the discussion in each thread according to your knowledge, you should express your opinion according to the context of the thread, even if it is a reply question. If you have any opposition, you should share. So if your quote is right on the basis of knowledge, then surely big members will appreciate you through merit, but the condition is that there should be some valuable answer.

Post quality should be good. Good means not so short that the candidate cannot understand and not so long that it is difficult for the candidate. To find out, answer

Try to give possible answers in a simple way.

Share knowledge by opening a new Topic.

Take a part in every discussion and share your knowledge without any hesitation.

So iMH, it will help you to get merits and you can achieve a new rank, and finally, my advice is that to be consistent with your work until you get something (success).

For someone to earn merit on the forum just like you said that is linked to the quality/usefulness of your post and replies, that is very understandable. but outside that i don't really think that there is quickest way to earn merit rather to identify your area of specialization, identify the boards that you can make quality contributions, useful suggestions and make an educating post that people can learn from, then merits will come.

most times, you often see your post as quality post and reasonable replies and at same time you will be expecting to be merited but at the end you will not see any merits , just have it in mind that the merits source have seen your quality post and good replies and they will give you merit when the time comes , hence , the summary here is that you can earn merits through a quality post and reasonable replies and nothing much.

I'm new here. What's all about this merit count? How is it earned? I'm assuming it's linked to the quality/usefulness of your posts/replies? Their originality maybe? What are usually the subjects you'd get the more merit for posting about?

Frequently participate in forums such as bitcoin, economics and help and beginners discussion boards. I see that there are many people who earn merit by providing useful comments and replies to the forum. If you have knowledge to share, you can create a useful topic. But of course the easiest way is to reply to comments in the thread with a useful reply.
Participating frequently is not a guarantee to gain merit for growth it if your ideas is not helping member of the forum,  if it is not adding value to the forum. It is important if members of the forum especially beginners are so conscious to check if the ideas are more of value that will be benefit to other members of the forum, doing this I think merit can be gained without any struggles. You can still participate in the forum and still not get merit you want . The easiest way of getting merit from the forum is giving out value to the forum.  Whatever you find yourself doing in the forum,  you make sure others are gaining value.  I think with this one will definitely get the growth they want by gaining merit which they need.
Helping each other is the most important thing and can support the activity of this forum. If your post makes an impression on someone and can help, you might get merit. which merit can be used to increase your position in this forum.
stay relaxed and share on the forum, merit will also come to you by itself.

By helping each other I guess you mean giving a good information that helps solve a problem of any member of the forum here because that's the most important thing, educative post is one of the easiest ways to also earn merits because when you come up to teach what many people don't know and you are able to communicate with everyone with your quality write-up there's no way you won't be awarded a merit by members who find your post to be of good benefits and educative to others. You may not be awarded merits instantly but soon or later the post may get merits from different members who may be out of merits when your post or thread was created.

In my experience, trying to get merits quick is not a good approach: you'll need many and chances are that you get burned before you achieve your goal (in the years I've been active here I have known many of these cases). I have even known guys who got burnt even after a race for the 1k merits, and are now inactive.

There is a saying in my country: "the path is the top". Learn and enjoy, and merits will come without looking for them.

Its not really a good approach knowing that its voluntary given by other people and we will just get disappointed if we can't convince people to send us their merits. Much really better for them to do a lot more research so that they became more knowledgeable on any crypto discussions they participate and people will find relevance on each post they made and maybe from that they can get a merit from their valuable post made.

So it clearly state that its more better to gain knowledge which is really more important since once we contribute here and people will get impressed or enjoy the way we post then we can possibly get that. And they need to know that merit is just a bonus here and what they should prioritize is to get a lot of knowledge about crypto.

I suggest making helpful post to the forum also learn from other post to be able to help other members, as a newbie don't focus on merits focus on creating better post, there is no quick way to earn it, it will come when you least expected.

Normal circumstances what will give you a merit is your meaningful contribution towards the community both response and topic can also give you a merit it does not necessarily mean that before you earn a merit you must make a topic or create a topic with your response to the community you can be able to earn a merit as many as people wishes to give to you because of your good response, what is the community really need most is a good response so therefore I believe that research before respond is what can make you to tender a good solution in any problem in the forum

Keep participating in the discussion and make such valuable replies that you feel other members are not sharing the information if you have such good knowledge and information reply to the post then the chances of getting merits on your quality post will be high but I am not saying you will receive merits all the time because your post sometime not reaches the person who is merit source or who feel that this post deserve merit. Well, I would advise you not to run before merits make your posts quality good and merits will come whenever they come.

You can also make Informative threads that you feel really helpful to others and your thread may also be appreciated by your senior members if they feel you have really contributed good information on the Forum. I hope you are getting my sayings in conclusion I will say never run before earning merits or never use any shortcut of getting merits rather just focus on your post quality.

If you have enough merit in your profile now, we can assume that you have a rough idea of how to earn merit. If you don't have this idea then you can't get merit. Try to share as much as you know about any new topic in the forum and if someone wants to know then you can collect various information and comment on his post and let him know about the specific topic. When your post or your comment is informative you can earn some merit for that post. But there is no need to always post with the thought of gaining merit rather you should post with the thought that you have to share something good in this forum so that others can benefit from your post and others can learn something new. Whenever you post with this thought in mind, the quality of your posts will be much better and as a result you will be able to gain enough merit in your profile.
What I believe is that your posts should be a mixture of knowledge, humour, taunts, eagerness, and a bunch of other stuff because merit is a very subjective thing, a person might like your post if they find it humorous and it makes them chuckle, one might merit you if they find your post informative and on-topic, some other user might find your taunt on point and well-deserved, so it's not just a matter of writing long posts with a bunch of detail about things that aren't much necessary.

Most newbies misunderstand the meaning of a constructive or quality post and they think a quality post is a post that is very long and a lot of information and detail, but that isn't true, I can write a couple of sentences in a thread and that can be considered constructive as long as it is on-topic and contributes at least something towards that thread.
