Yes, Bro, who else, but you know how to get merit on the forum? I miss you. And now you, with zero merit, are teaching newcomers how to behave on the forum.
But you probably forgot all your activities and what you had to go through while you understood the forum rules.
Everything is in your review, and I want you to know that nothing can be forgotten. But now this is a neutral review.

That was too rude sister.  Cheesy
You should let him guide the community. Probably he knows better than you because he has some other accounts which is high-ranked and earned a decent amount of merits.

To rank up your account, you must first gain merit, which can be bestowed by anyone who finds your post helpful. However, merit is not given freely; rather, you must work hard to gain the respect of other members of this community based on the quality of your posts. Additionally, you can expedite your progress by go through previous threads, there where you can summit your best post in order to gain additional merit. There are two threads on the biginners and help board: one by @hugeblack and the other by @fillippone. You are welcome to visit any of them that you interested.

OP has been inactive for a week now. I don't think he has a genuine interest in this forum. Or even if he has, he do not care much. OP has some technical understanding. If he continue to contribute himself in the forum, it won't be too hard for him to earn quick merits. Just like he has earned already (except from his alts).

I'm new here. What's all about this merit count? How is it earned? I'm assuming it's linked to the quality/usefulness of your posts/replies? Their originality maybe? What are usually the subjects you'd get the more merit for posting about?

No sweet cheeks, you can't make a joke on my personality after I stood up for you, because when you do that, it becomes clear that you are one of the butthurt trolls from puzzle thread whom I most definitely insulted in the past month. So you took the first available opportunity to hit me back, that's obvious especially after your stupid question about puzzle challenge on tech and dev board.
Unless you can prove me wrong by coming out with your main account and embarrass me here. so which one is it? Are you a plagiarist, an actual dev, or a newbie with no knowledge about how this forum works?

Now have you learned what is the quickest way to farm merits here or not?

I sometimes fit in the penultimate profile you put forward. But definitely the last one.

Not really.

If your post quality is met, and post quality is maintained then other senior members will give you Merit gift start. So now all the people who are wise get the gift of merit very quickly and pass the high status. So if you try hard enough to gain knowledge and improve post quality then you will get merit gift.

Everyone has suggested well already, but talking about being a newbie, it's not an ideal way to start with first, a newbie does not need to start running after merits, they should be interested in knowing about how they can make a meaningful contributions to the forum and have the best understanding of how the forum operates, why should a newbie needed to have merits for a start if not that there's more hidden under his intentions for that.

Even though your point is valid, how many newbies do you see genuinely interacting in a general conversation? Most of them do not have a genuine interest in a topic. Some newbies even cannot wait to get their posts merited and they start sending private messages to forum members to give merit. I guess a lot of forum members have this experience already? didn't you receive any PM from a newbie who was asking for some merits? I guess I have received at least three PMs from three different people to check their posts which is intentional merit begging.

Now back to this OP. The user already received 60 merits from his 22 posts which is incredible. Even though 11 of them he received from his alternative account which he claims is just an experiment. This newbie user has some coding knowledge and if he can continue his forum journey, what would stop him from becoming another discover of the year? n0nce and PowerGlove has been outstanding newbie when they started. They contibuted a lot to this forum.

When you don't have much to contribute or add to others, most times just asking the right question can genuinely earn someone merit that they never expected. Earning merit is as simple as that.

One thing is that you can either be a problem solver for others or provide solutions to those who are in need of answers, and if they find your answer interesting and educational, then there is a higher chance that you will be rewarded with merit for your effort. You can also earn merit by just asking questions, which can help others understand things better too.
You are very much correct about your explanation. Asking questions or answering questions is the best way of getting merits one thing I noticed is that some of those legendary with over 14k merits are always busy in some board like meta, bitcoin technical support, economy and bitcoin discussion. And they don't have time to be answering questions from newbies so they give merits to people who help them answer the question of the newbies correctly. Sometimes if the newbies question is educational or informative which will help other newbies to learn, they will also give merits to the person who ask that vital question. So that is how I understand it.

@digaran, I wonder why you keep siding and apologizing to op at various occasions Huh
Hey, leave OP alone, he is a newbie not familiar with how we do things here, if he merited his alt, doesn't matter, now he knows it's against community standards, from now on, he won't do it again.

So meriting to own accounts, selling accounts is against community standards, please refrain from doing that again.

Can you imagine if for example satoshi coming here with a newbie account and people attack him for being a merit/account farmer? Or talk nonsense about him? I can.😉
Most of people here are some teenagers with no life experience, so they say stupid things, but the reality here is the following :
Sucking up for gang members and campaign managers will earn you thousands of merits, that's it, that's the easiest and quickest way. 😂

Welcome, I apologize on behalf of everyone who'd disrespected you. 🤝

Is it possible an alt of yours or a friend Roll Eyes I'm not accusing you, just curious. Well op must have already been giving a lot of guide on how to earn enough merit on this forum. And from his merit history, I see that he has already gasp more than enough means of earning merit, including sending some to his Alts and sending them back to his main account  Roll Eyes. It's nice though I guess according to him, his just testing the merit system. Let's just leave it that way since op is a newbie Grin lol
Because there is a %50 chance that OP is the same gold hoarding dragon we all know aka satoshi, but the other %50 is divided into %25 a total newbie/stranger, %25 someone I know or heard of, besides he is a cyberpunk, and we respect each other when we see one another. 😉

Now the question is, who are you sir Hatchy? Lol

Digaran bro/sis, satoshi dreams of that fifty percent. Wait for them pizza txes to come.

Anyone know how much bitcoin be owns?
Got you, you immediately showed your true face, now keep posting plagiarized BS around the forum to farm merit and account, I'm sure there are people here to teach you how easy it is to earn negative trust, the only reason they didn't tag your sorry ass was because I defended you, thought you are a newbie. But keep at it. Now I know %80 who you really are. 😉

Questions like the ones in the topic have been asked before and we have seen topics like this very often. It's okay if you have the ambition to immediately get Merit, and I see that you really understand the direction and purpose of implementing Merit in the forum. You only need to develop knowledge as in the topics you have previously created. Studying and reading may have been suggested very often by seniors, but one way to understand all the forum rules and conditions for getting Merit is by studying and reading.

You don't need to rush to get merits dude. If you become too desperate to get merits then you might get the contrary if you miss the track.
One of the ways you can get merits from the forum is by writing good content which is going to make people to give you merits. You don't need to rush things because you might get a negative or neural trust along the way if people find you too desperate for merits hunting.
You just need to keep doing what you are good at and you will see merits coming your way.
You never can tell if really he is rushing to get merit, he may only trying to find out how merit is being derived as a newbie seeing other members of the forum with merit. If at all he is too inquisitive of having merit it is good for him asking how to get it because if he didn't ask he can end up doing something funny to get merit by all means which can land him doing the wrong things . Atleast with this question he can be able to get answers that will help him to get it the right way.

We see threads like this a lot and the replies are always the same. As a newbie,  running after merits should not be your number one priority. Your first aim is to understand how the forum works before any other thing. I am glad you already have an idea about what you should do first to deserve some merits.  Make quality and useful posts and merits will  come.  While trying to give out something of quality, try as much as possible to avoid lifting other people's ideas . Yea as easy as it seems using other people's ideas,  the consequence such act is outrightly ban from the forum. Focus more on understanding the forum,  there is a lot to learn here and it cannot be achieved in one day.

Re: Quickest way to earn merit?
I thought that this is a guide on how to earn merits. I was just eager to read and extend my merits could, it seems that I am stocked here for some times. But unfortunately for me, it's someone wanting to know how to jump from newbie to legendary.

What you write, how you write which includes the tone, quality grammar correctness, tenses, facts, generally the make up of your  comments and whether reader agrees  or not determines if you get merits.

So do your research well. Write about what you think within the purview of Bitcoin , and cryptocurrency. Write concisely, accurately, sensibly.
All the above listed are correct and needed to earn merits. But then, if you implement all and there's no merit source looking your way, I'm sorry you are stocked.

Nahhh  the title is too tricky we need to read it twice Ang read the main thread by OP to understand. Anyways there are no quickest way to earn more achievements here in our community. Cause we need to work hard for it in order to achieve what we want to achieve. Like what you've Said mate that once we are newbies then we want to reach legendary then it's all about a year to do that unless you are too knowledgeable then for sure almost A year  you will reach legendary rank.
