By the way, this was the only gambler girl I know at the moment. She was a very smart analyst, and became interested in betting. At some point, she started winning eight out of ten bets and lost control. But at the same time, after losing a lot, she realized that she had accumulated too many loans at bad interest rates, and she decided to stop. She confessed to her mother and they cured her.
It would be good if the girl could realize that she had made a fatal mistake in having a large loan. And she was willing to admit her mistake to her mother so they could cure his attraction to gambling. Maybe the girl has not yet reached the stage of gambling addiction because she can still realize that she is already in debt or has started to experience a gambling addiction. And she wants to cure her gambling activity so she can overcome it. Indeed, gambling can have an impact on a person and it will depend on how the person reacts to it. If someone realizes that he is gambling too often, he can reduce it or even decide to stop gambling outright. Everything will be his choice.

Indeed, and she's lucky to realize things and not to add more with her growing problem, with the help of her love ones she was able to move forward and quit away, though not all can do that same thing as most gambler who got engaged too much and turned everything into addiction are people who were unable to admit that they are already having an issue with controlling their engagements and even they are losing a lot they still thinking that they are just fine and they can still work things out, the time that they will admit it is when they already empty handed and they already risk both their health and their financial capabilities.

Everything is easy if you want it hard enough, people that say they CAN'T does not want it enough.
Same with every addiction in the world, if you really want a new chapter in your life, you will get a new chapter, maybe not in a day, but with time.
Just have the will and you will for sure be able to quit EASY.

Yes, it all depends on intention and hard work, but I have a friend who is addicted to online gambling. Many times he has said he will stop gambling but when he has money he will deposit again, I have given him advice that it is okay to gamble but if his huge debts have been paid off. But he said he was restless when he had money and wanted to gamble

I also gave him advice not to hold laptops and cellphones, but it seems difficult to do because nowadays all communication is done using cellphones so it is impossible if he doesn't use a cellphone.

That's the problem, with easy access with online gambling the force of bringing you back I mean the attraction and the lust of keep playing will be stronger than how you think that you can resist the call, it's important to balance everything and if you have that chance to find alternative activities that will keep yourself busy, that will help to lessen your gambling participation.

Yes, it's true that everything depends on your will and intention, but if you have ever felt what it's like to be addicted to gambling or other addictions, I don't think you will say it easily even though you have the will to stop, the process of quitting an addiction takes a long time so it's necessary. The process is really long, even though there is a will, sometimes the will still stops in the middle of the road and in the end you still become an addict. In fact, the focus to stop doesn't have to stop immediately.

Reducing it gradually will help and you don't have to stop suddenly, increase your willingness to stop slowly even though it will take a long time, sometimes at most about a year or more, depending on the level of addiction because each person has their own level of addiction. the easier it is to stop, but if the level gets bigger it will take years, I have a friend who managed to stop gambling and it could take 3 years and that too by reducing it slowly and consistently and with full will, the most important thing is to find a diversion from busyness such as looking for other hobbies so that can reduce it.

I guess it depends on which kind of gambling to tell how addictive it is. Like going to the casino or buying scratch offs? What is your gambling problem exactly? If you're wasting all of your money then definitely quit, seek some help from loved ones or professionally to ensure you quit. Also start looking back into your faith, my heavenly father has always helped me when I asked. Make sure you pray and make your requests known, but first thank him for this struggle, because you are going to gain something from all of this loss....

Yes, in my opinion, we don't need to be ashamed of the condition of gambling addiction, because somehow it must be cured. A gambling addict tends to be more emotionally and psychologically unstable, especially if he experiences lose while gambling. Another thing that is more frightening is that maybe they will commit crimes for money or end their lives because they can no longer afford to pay their debts. So, before something bad happens, it's a good idea for us to open up and find a solution to this condition

It needed to address before things get even worse, if you can aide the person that have this kind of problem there's a lot of patience that you needed to provide, it's not as easy as it is to make them realize but if you value the person, you will take all the risk just to help him straighten this issue.

I guess the easy access to online gambling is far more difficult to handle. Offline gaming can be avoided just not to go in the place, but with online is just a device away from doing it and continues playing.
Gambling addiction is a risk that every gambler must face. In my opinion, online or offline gambling addiction is equally difficult to overcome because when it comes to gambling addiction, several psychological or psychological aspects of those who experience problems.
You are right that if someone has a gambling addiction problem, it must be addressed immediately, otherwise it will be detrimental to the person who is a gambler and can even harm their family, those closest to them and even their environment. But the problem is that someone who has a gambling addiction sometimes always denies or doesn't feel that they have a gambling addiction problem. If they finally realize it, it will definitely be too late or it will have a very negative impact on themselves.

There must be family, friends, colleagues or other people who assess and make a person aware that he or she has a gambling addiction. If someone still has other people who still care about them and make them aware then perhaps the problem of gambling addiction can be overcome with various methods including rehabilitation.
But not everyone can have the courage and empathy for people who have gambling addiction problems, even in their families. As @komisariatku said, someone who is addicted to gambling sometimes becomes emotionally unstable if they are reminded or made aware of their gambling addiction problem and this causes not everyone to want to deal with someone who is addicted to gambling.

I think is no different from any other addiction and it goes with the person. If you have an addictive personality it could be gambling, it could be videogaming, watching football... there is a line where anything can virtually become an addiction. Even drinking is known to be "bearable" for many people who are drunk often but are also working and otherwise doing a semi-normal life.

quitting gambling is totally depends on individuals and what gambling meant for them, we cannot ask someone that has been benefiting from gambling and having good winings were as through gambling he was able to take care of needs so stopping it is like telling the person not to feed anymore because he is being sustained through gambling but there are some persons that has allowed gambling to cloud there sense of reasoning were as all they think of is just gambling and being so obsess in gambling those kind of person can be very hard to stop gambling because they are addicted to it. One thing I observe in life is that is very easy to develop a habit but very difficult to leave it if use to it.

Gambling habits have a bad impact on oneself if you cannot controls or limit your gambling, which can lead to things like what this girl experienced.

So it is possible that many people actually become stressed because of gambling and losing. I'm sure that actually not many people can have fun by gambling and manage their finances well. Even though I can manage my finances, sometimes I can still get emotional and deposit again after losing gambling. If this condition occurs, my financial condition will definitely be bad because I spend too much money on gambling

So, no matter how you gamble and how much money you spend gambling, as long as you are responsible and ready to face it, it certainly doesn't matter. However, you still need to pay attention to your financial capabilities, otherwise it will be very dangerous for your finances

Yes, gambling addicts usually only realize that they are on the verge of ruin when they have loans that are piling up and are forced to forcibly stop this activity because otherwise it is not impossible that the girl will get worse because of her losses and will regret it in the future.
It's not easy to admit mistakes to her mother to tell her about her bad gambling habits so the girl might be blamed for having fallen too far so it will cause stress for herself and her family because they have to bear the burden that the girl has done, but if her family can accept it and the girl was able to rise from her slump, I don't think it would be too bad.

Yes, stopping is not easy, especially if you are addicted. Still, we are responsible for ourselves, so if we are addicted, we should start introspecting and looking for a cause to heal ourselves. However, most gambling addicts will find it difficult to recognize that they are addicted to gambling because all they have is the desire to continue gambling. But when awareness from within says that we are addicted to gambling and this must be stopped, we really need help from other people to stop gambling.

Yes, most people don't want to admit that they are addicted to gambling, maybe they feel embarrassed so they don't want to admit it. However, if his gambling addiction is allowed to continue, he will spend more money and leave a lot of debt. The best option is to try to stop before all the money is gone and you go bankrupt.

If a gambling addict cannot overcome his addiction on his own then it is better to ask someone else or a professional for help. It's not good to be an addict although I'm not against gambling, but anything in excess definitely has a bad impact

True, if it's really hard for someone who already addicted but he already admitted the addiction inside him, asking for help from your love ones  to assist you to work your problem with professional to know what's the best practices and remedies to lessen  or to completely move away from gambling can be a good resort, with the guidance of professional, it will be possible to trace the root cause and eliminate it inside your mind. A big help to realize  and quit away from your gambling addiction.
Often even the scenario is as follows: an addicted gambler begins to steal money or sell things from home, his relatives give him to doctors or psychologists, the gambler pretends that he has taken the path of correction, doctors or psychologists see that he is lying, the gambler truly admits the problem and is cured.
I think there are exceptions when the player himself notices his addiction and goes for treatment, but this happens very rarely.
I find a similarity between gambling addicts and drug addicts where both people when they are addicted try to say that they are not addicted but they do the same thing afterwards. For example, someone sells various household items while managing gambling money. Although they present themselves well to others, it is not difficult to understand that something else is going on behind the scenes. I agree with you that people who are recognize their addiction can eventually recover from their addiction. Although that may be difficult for many but not impossible.
What you just explained is what I term self-deceit, there is nothing more dangerous than this when someone is fighting psychological issues. If you are deceiving yourself and finding excuses for ignoble acts and seeing things as though they are normal while they are obviously not normal, then you are still not ready for a change. It's better that friends or family get help for such people because they will not be able to fight within themselves unless they first recognise that they are not doing well. Those people in this category have lost their minds and consciousness, these are what could have been preserving their mindsets into doing the right thing. This is why we should not lose it in anything we do, the more we are cautious and conscious in gambling, the better control we have in what we do and preserves our minds as well.
It's easier to render support and help to an addicted gambler or drug addict when in the first instance they have accepted and acknowledge their addiction. For admittance is the first step to finding solutions because you can bother to bring solution to a problem you don't believe exist in your life. That's why some of the gambling addicts that family members and friends tried to help escape from their addiction ended up no being able to be saved reason being that even the individual you want to save from addiction doesn't believe he's suffering from addiction. So for people like that it's very hard and they are the worst to give advise against their addictiveness either to gambling or drug, they will always attack you immediately with counter words all of the times.

It seems to me that in general it is much more difficult for girls and women to reach such a level in their games that they actually require treatment for gaming addiction by professional   psychologits or psychiatrists, or even medical treatment prescribed by doctors.  Firstly, few women are interested in gambling compared to men.  Secondly, women are less risk-averse in general, they are more cauttious, and I would say they would never make such a risky bet for a large amount that a man can decide on.  So you remembered a really rare case.  And by the way, on the issue of treating gambling addiction in women, the picture here does not correspond at all to the ratio in the treatment of drug addiction, where the ratio of drug addicted men and women is approximately the same.
But I think there are about an order of magnitude fewer women suffering from gambling addiction than men.

That is precisely the issue now, everything is so convenient that a great deal of what we want is just a few clicks away from our door, but this convenience is dangerous and it makes some addictions harder to overcome, for example there are those that area addicted to shopping and right now is incredibly easy to get a credit card, plus almost anything you could dream of buying can be brought to you regardless of the distance from your home, so it should not be surprising people like them have enormous problems leaving their addiction behind.

nice to see you are gambling for fun and your friends too.
playing with small amount of money which we can happily afford to lose is fun because our emotions don't take control of us.
if we lose a reasonable amount in one or two bets, it's highly possible that emotions will take control of you and you will try to recover that amount by placing huge bets,
sometimes we can recover but many times we bust our account in that process,
it's better to stop at that point so we can save the remaining balance.

When we make a bet, we must prepare a sum of money that we are willing to lose, so that there is no word of regret when we lose. making small bets for fun and adding fun when gathering with friends is always fun to do.
The big bets that are often done by someone sometimes they do it not with friends but when they are alone, because if they do big gambling in front of their friends then there will always be people who try to stop them, while when making big bets it takes a calmness because it has to consider it.

If a gambling addict could stop gambling, he would have the opportunity to change his mindset and try to reduce his gambling time and money. But unfortunately, not many can stop gambling because they are still interested in chasing wins and recovering their losses. That is why they will continue to gamble and not stop after getting their big win. And even though they have won big, maybe they won't stop because they still want more wins.

A gambling addict may be able to open his eyes when someone else says they have a gambling addiction and needs to reduce it immediately. But it will go back to the gambling addict because most will still say he is okay and everything is under his control. That is the difficulty of changing the mindset of a gambling addict who cannot see the impact of gambling on him.

It seems that it is more difficult for most people to get out of online gambling addiction than offline gambling. If necessary, perhaps he should abandon everything that might make him access gambling sites, as that would force him to stop gambling online
