Hi! I'm new here and I want to stake RADS... I found this http://projectradium.org/downloads/bootstrap.zip but it doesn't work, where I can find a new bootstrap? thanks!
If your on windows, give this a go.

probably there is something I missunderstand...

Which ZIP file should I download and use?

I took the download from the green rectangle on the top right on the page you shared....
but it seems to be a ZIP containing dozens of ZIPs....

So, I would guess this is not what I should have downloaded.... still don't know what I should use.

Can you give details?

I think I saw another post sharing a smart chain link... I will try as well.

good luck to others
Actually you need press button Releases and download .exe from there
here the direct link - https://github.com/JJ12880/Radium_Bootstrap_Utility/releases/download/1.0/Radium_Bootstrap_Utility_1.0.exe

I did it and it looks to be syncing really well....

... until I was 10 days back.... and I decided to crypto my wallet... because it was as a new installation of my wallet.

When I opened again the wallet, it was telling "out of sync" but this time, refuse to continue the thinking process
and I don't see the bar indicative of the syncing process.

But, as I closed it again and I changed the wallet.dat to put back my coins, I see the coins in the wallet....
despite the wallet is still officially out of syn....

Is that normal?

Yes, coins will appear in your wallet, once you sync past the point in time in the block-chain where they were sent to you. for example, if the coins were sent to you in July, and you are synced up until august, but not September, you will see the coins in your wallet.  It also sounds like for some reason you are having issues obtaining nodes.  This application may help you get more nodes: https://github.com/JJ12880/Radium_Nodelist_Updater

Keep me updated.

Justin

Sorry, but I am confused about this file...

I downloaded as a ZIP, and inside there is only a readme.md, and I cannot even open it....

I am probably not understanding something to use this application

What should I do?

EDIT: I just figured out... I have hard time to understand GitHub and where is really the thing we want to download

Several time I used the "download" green button, and each time I have it wrong.... because the real link
is really not well shown and it is not trivial to understand where it is (at least for me LOL!)

So, now I have the .exe file to use

THanks, right, I have uually only 1 node to the network.

Other than that, the wallet is working well at all.

It stopped the syncing process at 10 days ago and it's stuck there.

I will check for the link you shared and will not have a choice to once again
delete files and start syncing...

I assume the blockchains directory will be in AppData. I would like to process the wallet over my external driver and also save the blockchain on it. Is there to move the blockchain to my external driver?

What if I run the same wallet on 2 different laptop at the same time? Is that affect the staking process?

I don't know the technical about it, but you cannot run the same wallet on 2 computers.
It will create some kind of issues and surely it will affect your staking

It wont make your staking any faster, and it may increase the risk of loosing coins.

I can't access the https://radiumcore.org/ website. It says that a secure connection failed. Is someone facing the same issue?

Some "elevator pitch" for Radium (combination of documentation and own words of @ganastor aka Michael from Tele):

Radium allows users to obtain a secure blockchain identity, as well as providing file verification and ownership.

Identity verification is designed to provide confidence in user accounts, and prevent scamming from accounts with misleading usernames.

Just like humans have unique fingerprints, digital files also have unique fingerprints called a hash. File hashes are generated by passing a file through a cryptographic hashing function. Using a digital identity, a user can sign a file hash, and create a public, permanent, and time-stamped record in the Radium Blockchain.

This allows filed to be cryptographically signed, and this signature can't be changed or hacked due to being stored in the blockchain.
It's similar to Factom, what is the difference and why RADS is better?

I have former wallet version (4.0.5).

If I want to install 4.0.6, should I delete the former wallet
or can I just install the new and it would take case of the update?

thanks
You can just run 4.0.6 the DB will update automatically

ok I just did....

But at first, I opened directly from my download folder...

So, I closed it and reopened it after moving the pt.exe
at the right place I wanted it to be.

BUT, at the really first opening, I saw the syncing bar which appeared immediatly....

And now, I cannot see it coming.... even if I delete the files in roaming, and start again.

What the heck is happening with this wallet since last week?

It is telling that it is out of sync, but NEVER see the syncing process starting....

and also, I can barely have 1 connection to network....

Please, help
Did you figure it out? Did you try the smart chain? I have 25 to 35 connections most of the time.

sorry, NO, I did not figured it out...

I have no clue about the "smart chain" stuff you are refering to, sorry ;-(

Until today, I just kept open the wallet as I did not have time to work on it
and anyway, I don't know what to do other than what I did...

So, YES, I still need help ;-)
Google radium smart chain in youtube and watch the video. It should help.

Hum, ok, will check that on Youtube.
Is there someone of dev team checking BTCtalk to provide support as well?

I don't it from the last posts from people unanswered..

Anyway, thanks for your help in that case, will see when I will have time
to investigate

I had the same issue, and I backuped wallet.dat, deleted Radium folder from %APPDATA%/Roaming and run 3.2x64 from GitHub https://github.com/JJ12880/SmartChain/releases/tag/3.2
Installation started from the scratch and after 2-4h I got the complete Radium blochain (total size = 1.1Gb)
Try to do so, good luck Wink
