Income tax is very important for every citizen, other than as development fund of the region, income tax also if someone cheat while paying taxes, then he will be punished by legal action. In crypto currency, most people do not pay taxes and even many governments do not have proper taxes on their taxes. the use of which is why the government is trying to ban the use because if it continues for a while it will cause an economic disaster in the country.
Well I think the reason why we pay taxes and why we should is because taxes will be spend in the construction of institutions like schools, government building, business institution and so much more. It is even spent in the fixing of destroyed road and destroyed buildings. Taxes may be spend also in charity funds, building houses for poor peoplr and many more. We pay taxes because it will help develop our country. So if you want a better country for you to stay, you should pay taxes.
There's a lot of reason why we should and pay taxes but the main purpose why we need to pay taxes it's because this is for our own good and to improve our economy system. This is our obligation to develop our country that's why we really need to pay taxes.
We have to pay taxes but it mustn't be a reason of feeding goverment.

1. Health care - yeah, this must be free. Sometimes we don't need meds but others need and they don't have money, our health and productivity is important to keep good economic in country.
2. Goverment security - it's sad but there always exists chance of war, in a world of piece we wouldn't have need of soldiers (it takes a lot of money from budget, especially in USA). But in our reality we need security...
3. Education - it's the best investment anyone can make in life but I would not make them free for everyone. It must be free only for them who wants to study (marks are indicator of it).
4. Pension - not everyone have children, so some people need money to live on their own even when they get old.
There are still a lot of reasons and I also included why not to pay in this post where I talk about education and military.

It is reasonable if your assets is in fiat money but if it is on bitcoin then it has no reason to get tax to it. Tax do really help from little things to big things we have on our community. The products we buy from the store do have taxes, from our wages on work and many more. Actually governments perform a vast amount of work and citizens should support its beginnings. However, because of cheaty people sometimes raised money is used on other things...
reason we have to pay taxes is to build facilities that we often use every day like roads, bridges, and other public facilities that we use every day, many people who just want to enjoy the facility without being willing to pay their tax obligations of course it is very unfortunate
Paying tax is like a rent for living in a country. But with extra services like the ones you mentioned. Most often the tax they collect from us is not used properly. Or in a lot of cases is stolen by government officials. I do agree we should pay tax but in a lot of countries the government do not feel obliged to use your tax money to serve it's citizens.
