I believe these are the reasons why ICOs fail. Most of them are just copycat of another token or coin. Meaning just to make hype and after they collected some amount they will turn into scam (some icos). No real value or no clear project. Poor marketing strategy. and lastly is the market today. Some people lost faith of icos and not invest at all. Most people believe in fud.
One of the main reason ICO fail is that they are scams, the way to identify this is that they ask for too much money than what is actually required and then give a huge sum of the money to the company management and advisors
I think there are so many reasons ,just like they didnt reached their ICO`s sales like soft cap or hard cap,but many ICO`s was turning in scam because they are only want is money not a successful project.
The trend today is not the project of the ICO but look at the hype instead. No matter how good the project is for as long as it lacks hype, it will go below the ICO price in the exchange.

I believe that at the moment many ICOs fail because the market is almost not growing people do not invest money in bitcoin and other coins.
In my opinion of most ICO's was failed. Maybe because some of developers are not paying attention on sustainable token. With inflation which largely happens because of flawed economic models and the greater fool theory. A lies concept of a project that makes the ICO fail.

There are so many ICO right now the investors need to think first before they invest since not all ICO are legit there are some scammers too.Some ICO fails for the lack of investors and good advertisement about the project
I think most ico fail because of lack of funds from the investors. Because there are too many existing ico makes it difficult to find other investors who are willing to invest in the ico project. That's just my opinion. There are still other reasons that make ico projects fail, such as the lack of innovation from the initial goal. I mean almost most ico projects are almost similar to other ico projects. Here I just reveal what I see with my view.
ICO is just making money and preparing for some predictions that Bitcoin will fly in 2019. and it gets worse when ico does not have escrow and right now I do not see it.

ICOs badly enter the market, because now (in the falling market), many are afraid to invest in the crypto industry, thus few support new coins.
One reason is that their team's experience is lack and insufficient that made their project weak. Also most of those ICOs are just into money so they just tend to scammed investors so their project failed.
In fact, there are so many projects that need to be screened, not all the projects can be well developed and supported, and some of them are just trying to raise a fund.
In my opinion, there is no need to hurry with the assignment of ICOs success status. they are realized only by 2019/20/21 years. Perhaps it will be so that these projects will already be bankrupt by that time.
in my opinion, the main failure of ICO is a less interested investor. sometimes, they have a good and professional team, and a good concept. only investor interest in the project is still lacking.

failure in ico. could be because the project information is less clear. development is not good, so people do not want the money lost for the project is not clear . or lack of community from the project. so be careful in following ico.
I can't say that ICO was failed only if the price was dump.The whole market is in depression right now. Failed ico can be characterized by lack of development in past 2-3 months, bad token metrics from the start. Some major mistakes created my team during the ico. For example security issues or errors in the smart contract.
Very much depends on the market. If the buoyant market, then all the ISO pass well and collect a lot of money. If the market is bearish, then top projects are difficult to attract a lot of investments
