I don't think it will be hard for you to stop gambling if you only and "truly" do it for fun. I've know gamblers that always say they are doing it for fun, but I assure you it will always show if you are out of control. A gambling addict can never stops gambling whatever the consequences he made to his/her family, friends and other people. It will always show.

If you really want to run for the campaign and the gambling side affect your reputation, you can always stop it and prove you are not an addict. Its a proof of your commitment to be a public servant. If they still continue to accuse you, provide great platforms, great service. Think of the brighter side that you stop gambling for fun, always remember that a pathological gambler usually progresses from occasional gambling to habitual gambling.

I am definitely not telling most people that I gamble. It is a cultural thing I explained before. I do gamble a lot, as do my close circle of friends, and we are not crazy gamblers to bet fortunes we all do it for a bit of fun. But it is still looked down on and even sometimes in job interviews they will ask you. So I do guard my reputation in that sense, but depending on who I talk to of course.

I would stop gambling because that will hurt my reputation, if I am playing right at the situation. But the problem here is that your campaign competitors will try to use that to their advantage, and if they are to discover that then that will surely damage your reputation so in the end your reputation will not be mended even if I stop gambling.

You can get different answers for this. Some might say that they will absolutely stop gambling to improve his image — to become a role model. Some also might say that they will not stop, maybe they will just hide such dark side and continue withe campaign. But whatever answer you neither right or wrong because this one depends from person to person basis Grin

. If I will be asked, I will join the campaign if it really poke my interest but I can't promise that I stop gambling. You can't say that I'm already a bad person tho, I'm am who I am.

I think we don't have to listen to them because they don't know us closely. But for people who know who we are, they will not give judge us with a bad reputation because they know that we are playing gambling for searching the fun thing, and we don't try to make money from gambling. Many people still judge someone from the outside and don't try to know that person closer.

When we don't give something bad to them, and we don't ask them to join with us, we can let them say anything about us, sooner or later, they will realize that what they say is not right. The important thing is we can take care of ourselves from something bad, and we can know that gambling is part of enjoying life.

Though this will varies with opinions from different individuals. First, I will not quit my gambling career because this has nothing to do with campaign. Gambling has many advantage and when followed carefully a gambler remains best to his games. Gamblers are intelligent individuals around the world so, many will like to involve into the campaign because of their reputation but as for me, I will get involve and will also defend myself as a gambler and not as a thief in the public. Am not afraid of be call a gambler because I am making some good stuff from the market.

That is the initial mindset of the people, that is, to see the people bad if they gamble, as someone who couldn't be trusted. I could say, there's nothing wrong about gambling if you what you gamble is your own money. But when it comes to running as a councilor, I think they are quite reasonable to do not trust you knowing that you gamble. Why? In the first place, what you could earn is the taxes from people, what you need to create project is their taxes, so they might really suspect you used that in gambling.

My answer is yes, reputation at stake, I will stop gambling.

Many those people in the world are judgmental and we can’t removed it in the mindset of those people. But the only way or solution that we can make is to “PROVE THEM WRONG” because they have a mindset that if you a gambler your just want only a money that’s all and if you want to run as a counselor or any positions in politics they already thinking that you’ve used your position to collect all their money, so that as a gambler you only thing that you can do is to prove them wrong like construct or think a program that will benefit the most of all your scope so that their negative thinking will change into positive, so push for it.

If you are a trusted person they understand what you are doing and what makes you happy. Unless, if you are not doing something wrong that perhaps affect your reputation. Just to be true to your self of what you are as long as you did not do an illegal activity that may harm your reputation.
