Australia is looking very good so far, they won against Serbia and France and for me I'm looking forward to seeing them play China and the USA to see how they measure up to the top teams. We all know the USA team is the team to beat but as I always say anyone team can win on it's day and there are no guarantees in any game. Australia has a good team maybe even the best Olympic team they have put together at any Olympics and they should at least win a medal these Olympics.
I guess it's no secret but the USA basketball team will surely dethrone any team despite having not brought the big names to Rio and my money is on them to collect Gold

The difference of Team USA to other teams is, they are unique in terms of offense. Almost all team doesn't changed their lineup also included all veterans which is not a typical strategy if you are to compete with the Team USA. Yes, it's better to have a fixed lineup but thoughts here must changed if you are to faced the monster Team USA.

i think the us still is the team to beat here. the way they played china gives us a preview of how the us would dominate this tournament. although there are a couple of teams which may have a bit chance of an upset, team usa is still too loaded up to the last man and it would take a great amount of luck to upset this team.
Barring a miracle, it is almost impossible to win the Team USA in basketball. They have too many talented players in the NBA. Even the bench player is better than the other countries best player. We can already see the big difference between USA and the other teams during the first game - USA Vs China.
Usa-China: 119-62... +57 really an awkward gap. They could win games even playing in 4 players. I think that only a USA harakiri will change the outcome of this tournament .
Actually I'm bit surprised that China could scored 62 points against USA. I'm not underestimating China, but what you are saying is true imo. No team can beat US if it come to basketball game. Well as EuroBasket champion, Spain is the toughest opponent for US. i tough that beside Spain France and Serbia will do something but France lost from Australia quite unexpected

It is true. We have same strategy. Betting on team USA is useless since we all know that they are dominating team. And surely the owner od sportsbook is fully aware on that that's why the odds is very little.Hahaha. I think the best type of bet is match point or handicap type. I think Kyrie should be on the team and starting but I'd feel more comfortable with a better back up point guard. Kyrie is injury prone, he can also get into foul trouble. Lowry hasn't proven himself in my book. All of the guards/wings on Team USA are not good passers, in a different year a team could make it interesting (this year it is a weak field).

The USA is certainly the team to beat once again at these Olympics but I think France and Australia both have good teams this Olympics. More so Australia who look to have there best Olympic team ever and are a top chance in my opinion to knock off the USA. I also think France has a big chance also to win gold at these Olympics. It will be and so far has been an entertaining tournament.
