The price is crashing due the chinese hashrate whale being bribed to cause this shitstorm by supporting buggy software against 80%+ of users and common sense in general.

so its all bribery?  There's no real problem with Bitcoin?  Everything is actually fine and we should just follow Greg Maxwell to victory?

no, we should follow jonald_fyookball and franky1 to victory

How about an even better idea -- we get rid of the blocksize limit at the protocol level so we don't have to follow anybody and everyone can run whatever version of Bitcoin they want?

You have to understand that talking in PodCasts and whining on Reddit takes time. $100M+ deals must wait.

As much as people hate on BTU, there's a risk of the chain surviving. Exchanging your coins for one chain is a high risk move that could leave you penniless.

The future must be very beautiful!

A risk?? I hope it survives at least for a while.

Or do you want that lot coming back like they did before and simply try for a fourth time? They do it at no expense, just with cheap propagandist tactics and putting a string in coinbase script. It's a bluff from the discourse down to the excuse of a repository they have, and not calling it is silly.

What's clear is that I have no use for BTU other than dumping them in exchange for BTC. If Ver is going to give me 1:1 I'll take it any day of the week.

Crypto is the separation of Power and State.
Boy...I love me some Internet. Calling someone in the hypothetical event of a coin split, that has put his life into promoting your Bitcoin a fucking pussy for not putting up $60MILs with a signed message at your convenience is the best. I don't particularly think that RV comes of as amiable, but dude has boots on the ground most days laying down what he believes to be right for debatably the most important technological breakthrough of our lifetime. Maybe he's being censored, maybe he's not. But the accusations probably aren't completely false and newcomers need to have the FULL DECENTRALIZED STORY. Maybe core has the better developers, who knows? Is segwit tougher to code than BU? It's all fucking nonsense because not making the correct decision for Bitcoin is scary shit. That's why I tend to side with the least riskier core implementation, but BU doesn't sound terrible.

cOOL sTORY bRO fEEL bETTER nOW ??  Tongue

Throwing around $130M exchange offers doesn't solve bitcoins problems. In fact it amplifies its divisiveness.

Divisiveness is the solution to Bitcoin's problems.  Specifically, BU needs to permanently divide its blockchain from Core's, fork off, and live happily ever after.

The fact het Roger does not do his bet tels he does NOT believe in btcu him self ,,, and now some miners fired user activated softfork....
And that wil restore the miners , because now users can choose what miner to take.....
shuting off miners who try to force something else.

signaling bip 148.
Remember the group in power are the people understanding the technical part of butcoin.
its made to be non trusting... only fools who dont understand that concept will try to do what BU is trying.....

Its made to be takeover resistant.... some people need to find out the hard way..
Like roger ver ,,,,, he still did not respond to his bet so I guess he does have any wallet to singn ownership on with 40.000 coins in it Smiley

ant that is very telling.

Is this how it all ends? With rogerverycoward not putting the money where his big mouth is?
Very pot dealer, much pathetic.

It's looking like it, yep. But I'll wait a bit more before jumping to conclusions.

well i gotta admit some has provably thrown down the gauntlet with $40 Mil, if Ver really believed in BU he would have no problem takeing the next step to follow through or meet the bluff which he has not done.

This he not done yet and so establishes beyond a shadow of doubt he does not back BU as much as he does BTC [Core]

Roger Ver is an opporunist, he will support whatever chain that gives him advantage. He also could be supporting the blockchain split so that he could double his coins.

I had to LOL at this.

But someone tell me true, is this a good time to buy bitcoin or what?  Is this one of those drama-infested pseudo-issues that bitcoin finds itself mired in from time to time?  I don't understand the issue and frankly I don't care.  Is this selloff justified?  Are people just scared, or is there a real issue here that threatens bitcoin?  And I'm wondering if I ought to buy some at this price.
