I hear you darxiaomi, I dont know the politics of the Argentine Rugby system but I
do know that the game and Argentina was very much lack lustre and yes probably Argentinas
worst game in the WC.

TBH I the first half Argentina had the majority of possesion but just couldnt break the NZ defense,
and to be completely the opposite NZ could pretty much score almost with every visit
to the Argentina 22.

What can i say?

We needed a miracle to win this game, we need our perfect day and one not so good for them. And what happen? We have the WORST game in the entire WC and they have a game without one msitake.

A few minor notes.

- CHeika you are a piece of shit, not only as a head coach but also as a person, i dont know if you know but he only dont put the correct players in the starting line up because of a long time battle between Ledesma (former head coach) and Nicolas Sanchez, so we allways had one of our best players out.

Also WHY WHY keep playing with the WORST Scrum half we have, the worhtless Bertranou, we have Cubelli and Bazan Velez who are way better than him. Again because he is a child.

Why Argentina wins again Wales? BEcause Bertranou doesnt play also he dont go to the bench. How he can explain that?.

I want to see him out, i know youa re gonna say he make us win agains NZ for the first time etc, but the team doesnt show anything new.

- ANother note (im not saying we lose for this because NZ was in otehr league) HOW the hell the referee make so bad decission and all in favour of NZ? man i see 3/4 times the scrum of NZ crumbling alone from the NZ side and he punish us?, and i see im not the only one who see this , i see people from other countries pointing the same.

Argentina today was a total shamefull team, all the abd decissions taken, one of the worst game i see in my life.

Congrats for NZ.

New Zealand are beatable and Argentina have done so recently but can they do
it again? TBH I cannot see it happening based on the performance against Ireland.

In fairness to Argentina though they have grown into this world cup, they have got better
and better!

I just heard that England have made 3 changes to the team to face South Africa while
SA themselves are playing the same squad that beat France. The odds are unchanged
from this news.

At the start of the competition (and with the buzz by darxiaomi) I took out an $88 bet on Argentina to win.  Even if NZ win, the odds were better than 3:1 so I'll be just that little bit ahead.

And I'm sorry to say its going to be tough for the Jaguars! I think over the last 5 or 7
matches Argentina have beaten NZ only once! so the odds are stacked against them!

Second semi final has South Africa as favourites @ 1.16 against England @ 5.60.
I think Englands weakness will be found out by SA.

really sorry for you man, i know that pain, i see the final stages of the match and Ireland play is super good, the hand work is amazing, is incredible they were out, but it was against New Zealand.

Now is our time to face the all blacks, crearly we dont have so much chance in the papers, but we hope for the surprise.

I made the mistake of betting against NZ because the online punters favoured the opposing team (even though Argentina were the underdog as well).

Results from yesterdays quarter final matches in the Rugby World Cup...





England v Fiji - that seems to have been an epic match, Fiji fought very hard to come back
from 21-10 at half time to 27-24 with 76 minutes gone but England held them off to win,
TBH it would have been a big upset if Fiji had won but it was close.

France v South Africa - Brilliant Brilliant match! in the last minute the situation for France
was very similar to the one Ireland was in in their QF.

France were in their own 22 and needed a score to win, they managed an attack but
the South African defense was too strong.

Both teams deserved the win!

With France and Ireland out my wager is dead unless Timelords NZ win the title!

Again Ireland falter at the quarter final stage, cant believe we got beaten. Our whole nation
were in the belief we could get to a semi final with this team which is the best in our history.

Well done to the All Blacks who upset us and were able to win.

Todays quarter finals will be interesting particularly France v South Africa, France need to win.
I'm hoping for them for my wager and also for the hopes a northern hemisphere team wins,
I dont think England are good enough even if they win today.

Argentina beat wales 29-17 in another enjoyable match. The last 10 minutes of this match were particularly exciting. Wales missed a try by centimeters and then argentina scored a surprise try with a stolen ball to take the lead. If you look at the table it looks like a comfortable score but it was a great match. It's been a great tournament so far. I've never seen a tournament this competitive. So on the first day of the quarterfinals the pumas and all blacks eliminated the undefeated leaders of the other groups from the cross-over match. I expect the same from south africa. The defending champions have the power to eliminate the hosts france.

Argentina Vs New Zealand - who would have imagined? (I lost my parlay BTW)



Increasingly I'm getting the feeling Argentina have come together as a team and have what it takes to beat New Zealand thus progressing into the grand final.  Tomorrow's games could see England and France square off for the second place in the Grand Final.

Amazing match played by Argentina, we deserved the win, the second half was briliant. Wales have the qualify in their hands when they fell a few inches away to convert that try but Moroni stoped it with a magnificent tackle.

Also big goal from Bofelli shooting from very long range.

Thats something I thought was going to happen. I didnt see the match but was
following updates on the radio. With 75 minutes gone it was only 17-19 to Argentina...

Argentina wins over Wales!

I've been listening to the BBC World service over the last ninety minutes - earlier they gave the scores when Wales was leading then fall silent when the leed changed.

The Super League Grandfinal is also on at the moment with opinion divided as to whether or not Catalan can win their first GF and the potential for a second French team entering the competition.

Not quite half time and the Australian men's international rugby league team are ahead 22 - 6 against Samoa.

Earlier, the Australian women's team best their New Zealand counterparts 16 - 10

I'm not sure it's every year, however I do know that once the NRL Grandfinal is decided the Australian International squad is named and training begins (and not long after that, there are games).

I'll have to read up on them as the tab.com.au website has placed the various nation's teams into two Cups.

It's going to be a long night with four international games to choose from.

Australia are big favourites 1.04 today against Samoa 10.0 or can do an over/under
bet 45.5 @ 1.85 ...

Papua New Guinea 1.08 - 7.6 Cooke Islands no other odds on this available ...

I think with those ML odds its unlikely there will be upsets, and I cant see any of the womens
matches being listed on ROLLBIT

2 quarter finals today

Wales v Argentina
Ireland v New Zealand

I'm going to miss the first one as ill be driving almost all day, hopefully I can catch
it on the radio.

The odds have changed slightly from last week on these matches:::


Wales 1.56 - 2.75 Argentina
Ireland 1.68 - 2.43 New Zealand - Looks like NZ are getting a good bit of backing.

Starting tomorrow evening my time is the 2023 Rugby League Pacific Championships



followed a week later by week two:



and then a third weekend of competition before the finals.

In the men's games for week one, I'll go with Australia and PNG while in the Women's, I'm leaning towards NZ and Samoa.

Week two, I think I'll go for New Zealand and Fiji then the New Zealand and PNG teams for the women's comp.

I haven't placed any bets as yet and may changing my selections once I see what the odds are.

Well I'm not doing any parlay bets on these quarter finals, all the teams are capable of
beating each other IMO.

I thought the odds would be closer for the Wales v Argentina match, on ROLLBIT
they are: 1.55 - 2.65, IMO Argentina have a closer chance than the odds predict so I'll
take Argentina too.

Ireland 1.68 v 3.48 New Zealand - Ireland of course for this one.

England 1.33 v 3.60 Fiji - I'm not betting on this one, I have a feeling Fiji could do a
bit of magic in this match but everything will have to work in their favour with a touch
of luck too...

France 1.77 - 2.20 South Africa - I think France will be victorious here especially if Dupont
is cleared to play. He is in full training after breaking his cheekbone!
