I am not sure how soon this would happen. If Russia is serious in adopting digital currency like Cryptocurrency then the government needs the power to control their central bank and that the Russian commercial banks would be able to cooperate with the government. This is the law "on digital financial assets", which introduces such concepts as cryptocurrency, mining, token, smart contract, token issuance procedure. The law assumes that cryptocurrencies will not be a legal means of payment in Russia.
By analogy with a similar law in Belarus, tokens can be exchanged for rubles only through special operators. We are talking about creating a special kryptomere. In this case, tokens and cryptocurrencies will be considered as property in Russia.

I do not now if this news are real, but if there will be less restrictions in Russia regarding crypto and it will become more crypto friendly it will have great positive influence over market.
