People like to hate on Russia. It's fashionable these days.

America is the most aggressive country in the world. It started about 250 years ago when people came to this continent and slaughtered the natives who were here. Theft by force. We're not talking about annexing 10% of a country that was already 5% of the size of our current country. We are talking about 3.5 million square miles being taken by force over the course of many years by people who abandoned their own country because they didn't want to pay taxes.

And since then, a decade hasn't gone by when we were not fighting somebody.

The current campaign of Russophobia is a tactic to divert attention from the major issues such as ISIS and growing federal debt. More than two dozen nations (including Japan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, and Saudi Arabia) are currently under American military occupation. And they are still thick enough to accuse the Russians of aggression.

Russia thinks that it is invincible, but it's not so ..
They need to calm down
I really can not, so funny. The impression is that soon children will scare Russia and Putin. Well, all together it looks like some kind of insanity.

If Russia is the most aggressive country then what will be the title of America. I don't know why the aftermath of the second world war is the measurements of this criteria, we should focus on the present scenario of the world. I think, by the name of terrorism America is planning to site the middle East, so America is the most aggressive country nowadays for me.

When you talk about the combat capability of the Russian army, then you are mistaken. Look at her arms. All of it produced in Soviet times. Any weapon can kill, but in a modern war to win with such a weapon is impossible.

- three states Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia joined the USSR
These states were a part of the Nazi Germany. They joined USSR after the WW2.
Baltic states was occupied by USSR in 1940. Presidents of Latvia and Estonia were sent to prison in Sibir and their governments resigned. Ultimatum to Lithuania was given to join USSR, otherwise army of USSR would invade country.

Before 1940, the Baltic states were ruled by puppet rulers installed by the Nazi Germans. And each of these nations (especially Latvia and Lithuania) had a sizable ethnic German population). The Soviets were afraid that these countries will merge with Germany.
No, presidents of these countries was nationalist dictators, not pro german. And population of ethnic German people was minimal in Baltic states. Only in Memel region german population was bigger, but this region already was under control of Germany before WW2..

Of course, they were progerman. Baltic States were formed under treaty of Brest-Litevsk treaty between Imperial Germany and nascent Soviet Union. Entire economy was controlled by german land owners between medieval times and 1945.

Nazis eventually sought to use them as area to concentrate attack on industrial heartland of european Russia. While I consider it personally to be terrible for natives, fears in Moscow had firm basis in reality.

Russia was never the aggressor, and all the territories that acceded to it is the result of military victories over the aggressors. In addition to the war of 1939: the Soviet Union is strategically important to occupy 10% of Finnish territory and to move the border away from St. Petersburg. Because everyone understood the inevitability of war with Germany, and Finland with their Mannerheim line was their ally.

First, the Mannerheim Line is intended for defense from Russia, and not for aggression. Secondly, Russia's attack on Finland in 1939 did not help in the war with Germany, but on the contrary Russia acquired the enemy. By the way, thanks to the Mannerheim Line, the Russians lost many soldiers and military equipment and could not advance into the interior of Finland. The Finnish people showed heroism in this war, and women took part in the defense. Finland could not be made a Russian colony, and today Finland is the most prosperous country in the world, the Finns knew why they needed freedom.

But it's funny though how Finns in general are nowadays one of the only people who respect Russians in general instead of irrationally hating them like most of the westerners seem to do  Shocked

And what about the two world wars in which the Germans and the French killed each other? Do they still hate each other today? So the Finns are Russian today.

Of course Finland was ready to provide any assistance to the enemy of the Soviet Union Smiley
The President of Finland P. E. Svinhufvud in 1937, said in Berlin that "the enemy of Russia must always be a friend of Finland". In conversation with the German envoy, he said: "the Russian threat will exist permanently. Therefore, for Finland is good that Germany is strong."
Therefore, the Soviet Union took no walkable Mannerheim line with huge losses. Which could be the basis of the German offensive on Leningrad.

If the Russians had not attacked Finland in 1939, then perhaps Leningrad was not in a blockade. Russians are looking for enemies, this applies to today. What did Georgia and Ukraine somehow threaten Russia? Why did the Russians attack Ukraine and Georgia? Russia is the empire of Evil, as Zbigniew Brzezinski said. Why did the Russians press the Czechs on Vraclav Square in Prague in 1968? Why did the Russians get into Afghanistan, insidiously killing its president and his family? The Afghans as well as the Finns punished the Russians fighting for their freedom.

You guys can't compare USSR and Russia today, that's like comparing Nazi germany with the todays Germany, makes no sense. And it's not like they've been doing stuff like these.

When you don't like someone you're judging every move they're making.

Even while being the most aggressive country, it's not like they're really getting anything out of it. They're military is old and failing, the economy in Russia is absoluetly so bad that the President (Putin) had to go to the extreme of invading another country and showing that they're winning at something to be able to convince the people that they're not a failing country. The only reason Russian had been doing good up to around 2012 was due to OIL being so expensive, now with the downturn of that the country is failing and they don't know what to do.

Most aggressive-- more like the biggest talker out of all the countries. If the US wanted to though, they could flatten them in .2 seconds.
