It is not always about the money neither. Modric will make about 20 million euro per year with his new contract and he was offered 200 million a year and yet he rejected it, and that's at 38 years old as well when he should be taking the last big payment of his life. On the other hand Benzema was offered the same and yet he declined and accepted the huge amount of money that he was offered as well.

It means that some players do prefer to go to Saudi Arabian league for the money and some players don't, it depends from person to person. This means that Brozovic could be either, if he wants to take the money then he should obviously go to Al-Nassr, if he wants to play in Europe a bit longer than he should be accepting the Barcelona offer instead.

At this moment joining and playing in the Saudi Professional League is not something bad, so there is nothing wrong for those who play in the Saudi Professional League next season. After all, not only Al-Nassr has star players from Europe, because Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal are doing the same thing too, because they also recruit famous players from big European clubs. Therefore, the competition in the Saudi Professional League next season will certainly be very interesting, because star players will compete for the title and also, some of them will become teammates.
The premier league, the Bundesliga, the Italian league, and other leagues are slowly losing their best and most talented players to Saudi Arabia. These folks, in my opinion, have created a 30-year strategy for their football league. The best in the world is what they aim for. They desire recognition and admiration from the outside world for their league. When the top leagues in the world are mentioned, they want their league to be among the finest. They own the funds, and as is often said, money is what keeps the world turning. The league is giving footballers more confidence. Even if some may claim that they are bringing in players towards the latter end of their careers, everything was planned. In the upcoming years, it's possible that young, talented players may express their desire to play in the Saudi league. I'm simply a spectator on the sidelines, so I'm neither for nor against what's going on.

It's not bad that the salary there is also promising for a player plus the many star players who arrive so much not only for one club but several clubs also bring in other players.
Today's hot news Franck Kessié will soon be offered by the Saudi Arab team but don't know which team will make the offer. It looks like this will be even more interesting if many European players move to the Saudi Professional League, I can't imagine how the SPL league season will be at first it was amazing.

Just a bit of Franck Kessie's news: https://twitter.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/1673725572273389584

I don't want Marcelo Brozovic to lose this opportunity just because he bargains too hard. The amount being offered by Al Nassr (£20 million per year) is not that bad, given his current salary (€11,110,000 per year with Inter Milan). And I don't have a very good opinion about Barcelona. I don't like the way they treat their payers. Al Nassr on the other hand takes care of their players very well. The only issue for Brozovic is that he needs to reside in Saudi Arabia, where there are no night clubs and need to stay away from alcoholic drinks.

He will not lose it. inter prefers to sell him for nassr rather than barcelona. Brozovic has been also facing ronaldo as his new team mate. It's likely he will be doing a medical checkup very soon. I hope that his finalization will be going smootly.
Nassr's competitors have been also going so crazy in signing so many players from various european clubs right now. It's time for al nassr to get more european players.

Whatever the reason I think it's still normal because other star players get a higher salary, it's not bad if Al Nassr gives an additional 5 million or more with additional requirements of course, after all Al Nassr has unlimited funds.
it depends on the agreement to be reached for the three parties, Inter agreed with the transfer fee. and Brozovic who can make some special requests to Al Nassr.
this is not a difficult problem for Al Nassr I think. they also provide special services for their star players. and I think Al Nassr wants to fill their squad with European star players. whether it will be a problem with team regulation in the Arab League or not. but this could hinder the growth of their local players to compete with quality European players. in terms of business this will be profitable, but in terms of the growth of their athletes, maybe there will be pros and cons.
Seems to me, Al Nassr is all in, ready to pander to big guns like Brozovic. Their history shouts loud and clear - they arent skittish about spending big bucks for Euro talents. This doesnt surprise us football fanatics, given Saudi Pro League teams often outspend European clubs to nab stars.

Yet, is Al Nassr star-struck at the expense of homegrown players? Could they be building an impenetrable barrier for locals competing against Euro behemoths? Sure, its a money-spinner. But arent we sidelining the growth of our own talent?

Im the only one who see this Saudi boom in football like the Chinese boom we see several years ago?..
It is already paying off for the Saudia Arabians, they have been announced as the the next country to host the FIFA club world cup that will be the last of it's kind. It will be the last club world cup where only seven teams play. This is Saudia Arabia's first opportunity to host this competition and they will do a good job I am sure off to ensure that they proof to FIFA that they can host bigger competitions in football, the world cup someday.
The seven teams that will be playing are;
Quote
Al-Ahly (2022/23 CAF Champions League winners); Al-Ittihad (AFC, host): Auckland City (2023 OFC Champions League winners): Club Léon (2023 CONCACAF Champions League winners): Manchester City (2022/23 UEFA Champions League winners): Urawa Red Diamonds (2022 AFC Champions League winners): TBD (2023 CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores winners)

Benzema, Kante who are now players in Al-Ittihad will have a chance to play in these competitions.

https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20230627-saudi-arabia-to-host-2023-fifa-club-world-cup/

They are taking step after step now and use their money to host and promote soccer within their country and also outside the country. As far as I know Greece withdrew their candidacy for 2030 to host the World Cup, but I was still surprised =https://www.politico.eu/article/qatar-fifa-world-cup-the-secret-saudi-plan-to-buy-the-cup/ reading this article, in which crown price MBS makes massive promises to Greece in terms of modernizing and building infrastructure for them no matter the cost. It seems that MBS wanted a country from the European Union to be part of their joint bid in order to put more pressure on the relevant committees.

So both Barcelona and Al Nassr are going to fight over Marcelo Brozovic? According to rumors, the deal will between Inter and Al Nassr on Brozovic will see the player getting paid around £20 million per year until mid-2027. Al Nassr seems to be having the advantage now, as Barcelona is reported to be short on funds. They need to sell some of their current players, before they can make a move on Brozovic. Anyway, one thing is for sure. Brozovic's stint at Inter Milan is coming to an end (he has been representing them for the last 8 years).

Barcelona shall not need to fight against nassr if the club was still offering less salary compared what already offered by al nassr, nassr is now offering three times more compared with brozovic's current salary. Barcelona will able to compete with nassr as long as it will able to give same offer like al nassr.
Barcelona may win i the popularity from the club but the problem is if when it's talking about money and bacelona lose against nassr.

Al nassr's ceo has been coming to the intermilan directly and both already agreed for brozovic's transfer, unlike barcelona that was not even showing a commitment to buy him.
Barcelona was not even approaching brozovic directly.

Do you remember that it was Al-Hilal who didn't succeed in bringing Messi to the Arab League because Messi preferred to move closer to Club Inter Miami. And at that time Al-Hilal turned his hunt to one of the Man City players, namely Riyad Mahrez. So, I'm curious about the latest news on this one, but I haven't found any updates regarding Al-hilal's offer to bring in Riyad Mahrez. Has anyone read the news regarding news updates about Al-hilal and Riyad Mahrez?
There is no recent news regarding this player, and his contract at Manchester City runs until 2025, but rumors are circulating that he is also interested in joining the Saudi Pro Liga, and seeing how English clubs see an opportunity to sell players who are over 30 years old to the league At this time, it is very likely that soon there will be an update regarding Riyadh Mahrez to the Saudi Pro League.
Chelsea have already managed to sell a number of players here and maybe City will also have success doing the same.
It seems that the latest news actually says that Riyad Mahrez is closer to joining one of the clubs from the SPL, namely Al-Ahli. Al-ittihad and Al-Hilal have no news about the hunt for this player. But Al-Ahli seems to be the closest. and reportedly currently between Man City and Al-ahli and also Riyad Mahrez is still in the negotiation stage. But it seems that Man City will also let go of this player if Al-Ahli can pay a high enough transfer price.

Chelsea is currently releasing the most players to Arab clubs. But from other clubs from the Premier League there have also been a number of players who have released their players to the Arab League. Now maybe Man City will also follow suit to release one of their players to a Saudi Arabian club, namely Al-Ahli. but this news came from a week ago. and for now there has been no update regarding this news.

Well, for rumors of Brozovic's transfer, an agreement has been reached between Inter and Al-Nassr, but now it still leaves doubts and the determinant of the agreement is the player himself, namely Brozovic, whether he agrees to join Al-Nassr or not. Now maybe Brozovic is quite hesitant to make a choice because of course he still wants to play in European competition even though he left Inter but so far the only enthusiasts are Barcelona who are still struggling with financial problems. So maybe Brozovic will consider that 20 million euro per season salary offer with Al-Nassr if in the end no other team wants to offer him.

It is rumored that Marcelo Brozovic is indeed closer to Al Nassr and negotiations should have started on Monday, if an agreement is reached then in the next few days this player will be announced. Inter and Al Nassr have agreed and now that negotiations refer to salaries reportedly he wants more than 20 million per season, I think this makes sense because the other players got more.

Barcelona has already lost out on the deal because the €23M move To Al-Nassr has already been finalized. The Croatian striker will earn more than double what he earns at Inter Milan. Al-Nassr is attracting some of the best players in the world. Marcelo Brozovic will join Cristiano Ronaldo and Hakim Ziyech which would be a classic combination. The Saudi League is doing a good job and they are also spreading their ownership to other countries. Clubs like PSG and Newcastle are owned by the Saudi-based organization. They are building a football network around the world. Very soon it will be easy to transfer players from any part of the world to the Saudi Arabian league.

@Zlantann it’s not a surprise to see Barcelona lose on another player because of their financial mess and now I feel that they’ll only be able to target free transfer’s hence it makes sense for the player to join a club that can pay him well. Furthermore I believe that in coming year’s SPL will revive the rival competition to champions league as they’ll have more money and majority stars will be playing in SPL and thus European club’s will be tempted to quit the CL for the rival league.

It seems that the negotiations between Al-Nassr and Marcelo Brozovic's side have reached their final stage. And Al-Nassr seems to be going to win the competition for Marcelo Brozovic. Barcelona is still hindered regarding their finances. But that's not all. But Al-Nassr was indeed the most active in approaching the Inter Milan player. All agreements seem to have almost reached the final stage. And only related to salary issues that have not met an agreement. Because reportedly Brozovic asked for more than was offered. And today negotiations regarding this matter should have been carried out. It's just that there has been no further news regarding this matter. but I believe Brozovic will definitely go to Al-Nassr. Because Al-Nassr has reportedly sent his representatives to fly directly to Italy to finalize the player's transfer.

He is a top striker but I expected him to stay in Europe for at least a year or two. Since so many clubs are currently looking for a striker and Real Madrid even signed Joselu as a backup plan, Firmino would have been a much better choice in my opinion. But no matter what any European club would have offered him, if he wants to make big money the SPL is the way to go now and that is what he decided to do. But in terms of his quality he could have stayed in Europe without problems.
Agree. I also expect him to stay in Europe because he still performed well. He just doesn't get enough time to play, he mostly sit on the bench. In the current transfer window, I really expect Real Madrid to sign him but Real Madrid prefers to sign Joselu. I don't know why Real Madrid doesn't want to sign this player, he is actually suitable with Real Madrid. I'm sure Firmino's salary isn't a problem for Real Madrid, he shouldn't ask for big salary. Sure, Arab clubs will offer bigger salary for him, but the competition in Europe is better than SPL competition.

Firmino could have asked for a reasonable salary and he would have been the perfect player for Real Madrid. In my opinion he is the superior striker compared to Joselu and Firmino didn't play for some average club, but for one of the best clubs in the world and he is physically in decent shape if my information is correct. But nobody knows whether there have been negotiations in the background, that is possible but in the end no European club can compete with the Saudi Arabia salaries and if a player wants to earn loads of money then the SPL is the correct choice.

Barcelona has no chance to compete with al nassr to get him from intermilan. Even brozovic itself feels so crazy to see how his transfer has been surrounding to the so many parties. He will be receiving three times more salary compared his current salary in intermilan right now. Barcelona has no choice other than let him go to the al nassr. Can barcelona offer him like what already done by al nassr? i guess barcelona can't.
It's better for brozovic to go to the al nassr instead of playing on barcelona. He will get small salary playing there.
Barcelona has been missing so many target caused by it doesn't have funds compete with arabian clubs. Im sure brozovic will go to al nassr.

Brozovic sign contract until 2026 with Inter Milan, based on beneficial and how excited offering bid from Al Nassr seems sure Inter will reached agreement for selling Brozovic. For Saudi Arabian teams spent much money and give excited salary for their players its not problem, actually top four Saudi Pro League team brave paying more 10 times bigger than European teams. Depend with other European players recruitment, Marcelo Brozović is the best option because he still on 30 years old and has more chance in the golden age playing with Saudi Pro League team for three until five years later. Lets waiting what the crazy recruitment by Saudi Pro League teams and until when they will stop recruit European star players.

It now left for Brozovic to decide where wants to go. A player at 30 as he is, still has an extra 5 to 6 + years of achievement depending on how long he wishes.  Sacrificing such numbers of years for money and little fame isn't bad, but investing it for more honors will be much more memorable.  the picture that promotes the Saudi Arabia league was first painted by CR7 who had already achieved and earned all the honors he desired before moving there at age 37 to make money and play without much pressure.  I think every other move to SPL is motivated by his,  it will be wise for Brozovic to think in this same direction.

I don't agree with this. Local Saudi players can only benefit if they continuously play against the best in the world. And if some of these players find it too tough, then they will be replaced with others. Overall, I believe that the infusion of overseas players can only do good to the Saudi football. They still have a long way to go, but I could sense a few glimpses of the improvement that they made recently during their match against Argentina during Qatar 2022. Nothing is going to happen and the Saudis knows that. They are being patient and continuously making investments in the game.
