Even though he hasn't been able to provide a trophy for Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has been successful enough to prove that he is still productive in scoring goals. In 16 matches with Al-Nassr, Ronaldo managed to become #2 as the top scorer of the clubs under Talisca. he success with 14 goals, while Talisca with 20 goals. So, it is not impossible that next season with a full playing schedule, Ronaldo can give his first trophy for Al-Nassr. So far there has been no disciplinary action reported. This means that he has no regrets about his decision to play at Al-Nassr.
I think it's very natural that Ronaldo failed to bring Al nassr to become champions in his first season with Al Nassr, because as we know he went to Al nassr to be precise in the second half of the season which made him not have much time to help the club win the title in  this season. But another thing that is special is that he was able to make many big contributions to al nassr in other words he became the second top scorer on the al nassr team, which indicates that Ronaldo is still very aggressive in front of the opponent's goal.

Well next season I think Al nassr will be more difficult to provide resistance to al ittihad because Al ittihad surprisingly they managed to bring in Benzema to strengthen their squad in defending the title next season.
U don't expect Ronaldo to bring Al Nasr to the top position of the Saudi Arabia senior league just art arrival. It would have been possible if there were also good potential mind capable of doing 60% of what Ronaldo can give to the team but yet,  there is non. Ronaldo in Europe league had good players who operated with the same mindset as his and this he lacks in Saudi Arabia. This same thing will affect Karim Benzema and other top players in Europe who are planning a move to Saudi Arabic league.
Well ... al-nassr always become the title contender and cristiano arrival indeed to boost that chance which it's failed now , despite it's not a total failure as cristiano has bring al-nassr popularity into a new level! Next season where he will play and help the club since the beginning of the season might be a higher chance for al nassr to get back the saudi pro league title back since the last time they winning it in 2018-2019.

Al-ittihad knew the situation and make a faster move by bring benzema and kante at once! Crazy oil money overthere.

Cristiano Ronaldo's quality in scoring goals is still quite extraordinary at Al-nassr and I think next season will be even better than this season. If I'm not mistaken Ronaldo has already scored a Het-trick at Al-nassr and the quality of his right foot shot is still quite powerful although it is no longer the same as the one during his prime at Real Madrid. Next season that the competition for attackers at each club will be much more competitive and Ronaldo will be even more motivated to set his new record there, considering that there will be several other players who will come next season impression..

Ronaldo is enjoying the rest of his career in the Saudi Arabian League and even though he hasn't been able to bring the title to Al-nassr yet the quality of his playing is still good enough. Maybe we can judge his ability in the next season because he moved there half the league season has been going on. It will be interesting to see how the Saudi Arabian League will play out next season with several European players set to play there.

Maybe yes, because everything we say is an assumption. included, as you said. and even we agree, that the reason that is closest to reality is a fantastic salary. in theory, at the end of his career, Benzema will not earn as much as he would with his new club Al Ittihad. the fact is, that money is the real trigger. it's just that, we also can not rule out other supporting factors. apart from his age and the money factor in return for accepting the offer, cultural factors were also one of the factors that made Benzema willing to leave Real Madrid. at least, it makes more sense if we refer to multiple approaches from various factors regardless of the salary offered. because, there are many considerations for European stars to refuse to play in the competition. one of them, the issue of sharia law which is not as free as in Europe. not to mention, cultural and language issues. I'm pretty sure Messi has also previously considered it from all aspects until he chose MLS.
I actually can't wait to see how Benzema and his new team, Al Ittihad, will look at Al Nassr, which is occupied by CR7. and to be honest I support benzema with her choice by moving to al ittihad and receiving a fantastic salary because indeed at her old age, money is the most logical thing

In one factor, Benzema's belief was the thing that made him interested in playing in the Saudi Arabian league. Apart from that, in terms of age and salary, the offer is a second choice for him to play in an easier league due to the aging factor.  Also another thing is the existence of the figure of Ronaldo, who is likely for him to be one of the challenges to accept this offer.

Al ittihad are the reigning champions this season and they seem to be continuing to make changes in the squad to increase their strength for next season. With the arrival of kante and Benzema I think they are relatively strong next season even Al nassr will most likely find it difficult to stop Al ittihad in the next season. There are still a lot of players who are likely to join the SPL this season.
I think the money is the only reason and nothing else. I mean this dude won't be making this much in his life, for a few more seasons as player and nothing else after that, this dude will not make this much money ever, he was offered money he wouldn't earn ever again.

That is why he didn't turn it down, there aren't that many players that would be worth 100 million euro as a transfer fee let alone as salary, famously the biggest one is 60 million and mbappe if I am not wrong, with the loyalty bonus (signing fee) that becomes a bit closer to 100 but still not there. This dude is making 100+ million a year easily, that's just unheard of, and he is almost at retirement age as well. I am pretty sure that there aren't that many players who would reject that, only like handful of players who would and they are mostly young (and apparently Messi as well).

I don't think Ronaldo has ever regretted joining Al Nassr they had enough good intentions so it was their choice, I know Ronaldo still failed this season because he couldn't bring any trophies and this club failed in all competitions but that doesn't mean Ronaldo has regrets because that and of course he has made a lot of contributions including to the team and also the fans are glancing at this SPL league.
About Messi it has been his choice to Inter Miami but I have never heard that he will be the ambassador for the 2026 world cup later even though it is very close to him, the real thing that Messi earns more money is that there are several clauses from other sponsors who are part of Messi.
Yeah Inter Miami has been selling tickets more expensive than usual but look at Al Nassr has sold a lot more jerseys including the broadcasting rights of the SPL league now it's even more extraordinary because of Ronaldo's popularity.
Ronaldo is happy in Al Naasr, and I don't think that the club is angry towards his performance this season because he brought firm and the world to Saudi Arabia. When he first joined Al Naasr, that night the club had almost 2M followers and I don't think that is a bad contribution to the club. Al Naasr is happy to have a superstar like Ronaldo in their club and I believe that Ronaldo will retire in the club.
Messi in Miami is a good news because I could remember that most old players do go to US league and retire there, living like a king because US football clubs love old superstars. Messi will draw a lot of attention to US,which was the main purpose why they bought him to bring the world to US league. It is a good strategy and a good move they did.

I don't know a man who is going to get the amount of money which Cristiano Ronaldo is getting as a retirement plan and still be sad. Cristiano Ronaldo did the right thing. He understood that his form is dropping. So he chose the right decision. He was not going to play very well in a big club whatever he was going to go. He probably would have rotted on the substitute bench.

So it is better that he gets the huge amount of money that he is being offered. I don't know about Neymar but I believe Lionel Messi should also take that route. Because like Neymar, Lionel Messi has achieved almost everything there is to achieve in football.

That's very true because Saudi people are so generous in this regard and they throw money like paper on the talented players like Cristiano Ronaldo. I'm pretty sure that Ronaldo accepted the offer of joining Al Nassr because of the respect he got from the Saudi people. I'm also sure that after Cristiano Ronaldo, many other players will think about joining of Saudi Professional League. It also makes sense to hear that Neymar could also appear in Saudi pro League in coming season and that will bring more attention to the league.

At first, the over thinking of what Ronald and how many goals he might score when playing for this club has caused so many problems for the club and also for his fans. But a hard fact still remains that Ronaldo is getting old and age is no longer at his favor so achieving this when playing for al nassr is also a good feat for him.

Ronaldo joining Al Nassr was a big mistakes as they'll be regretting not signing Messi which was their first choice. Ronaldo joined the club yet they couldn't win anything, they got knockout from cup competition and missed out of the league. Next season Ronaldo better helps the club in winning the league or he'll be cancelled meanwhile Messi will be celebrated and probably been made the ambassador of the 2026 world cup since he's now the most popular football player that's in the country. Already the club he signed for are getting positive returns from this deal as ticket for the full season are sold out at expensive prices.
I think you are too skeptical of cristiano's performance at al nassr even though this is his first year there and we also have to realize that cristiano is not young anymore, he will not be able to play as great as he used to and that is a law of nature, looking at Haaland, I remember how young cristiano first. Since the beginning, Al Nassr's management said that their main goal in buying Cristiano was not for trophies but to help Saudi Arabia become the next world cup host.

More stars have arrived since Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at Saudi clubs. Ever since Karim Benzema joined the Al Ittihad club a few days ago, the massive discussion has come to a head. Of course, Saudi clubs are ready to get bigger stars because they have brought in players with the most money shortages. Once upon a time, Saudi clubs would be filled with stars as the tragic joy worked within them and ready to take the clubs to the pinnacle of development. The audience is just waiting for the match between Ronaldo Club and Benzema Club to take place.

The signing of big players into the Saudi Arabian League is getting very much interested. I could remember when Ronaldo was newly signed into the league many people thoughts that will be the end of his career but it is still getting interesting and making other players to take the same steps,  has also made the league to become more popular.
Of course, how could it not be interested? the salary is a big. Yes, because this league is also not a popular league, not same as La Liga and other leagues in Europa, so many people think that is the end of his career. Ronaldo has many fans in almost all over the world, so it is normal if this league has more interesting and become more popular.

After failed on Messi, now there are rumors Al Hilal will approach Neymar, wow this Arab club really don't want to give up. When Ittihad and Nassr already got star players, It seems that Al Hilal doesn't want to lose competitiveness.

This is a field of money and when they are already very difficult for big clubs in Europe, there is really nothing wrong with moving to a place where at least even though the competition is still minimal, there is no doubt about salaries and facilities.
On the other hand, even if it's like that, the Saudi Professional League seems to have its own targets for this and indeed it is proven that by bringing in some big players like Cristiano and now there is Benzema, Kante and even the news about Zaha who will be attending this will obviously make them more able to impact in terms of popularity because regardless of anything this is also quite important for them.

There is a strategy behind their approach and I think for now it is most likely about drawing attention to the league, to increase the popularity of the league and to make the Saudfi Professional league more attractive as a commercial market. But they do need to increase the global authentic audience. People who follow the league not only because of one single star player, but because of growing interesting competition. Whether that can be achieved this way is hard to tell, but their next step will be to bring in younger players as well who actually become central figures to the league. They don't only want the old Ronaldo. They would rather want the young Ronaldo develop in their league and simultaneously grow a fanbase that pertains primarily to the Saudi soccer league .
Surely they are looking at it as a promotional event for their league so that it is more popular and known in many countries. Like when Al Nassr succeeded in bringing in Cristiano Ronaldo, for example, they were fighting for the broadcasting rights of the Arab League and that was clearly the advantage they got. And I'm sure most of the people discussing here were initially not interested in the Arab League, and I can't deny that it was one of them.
Star players have their own charm, especially if they have a very large fan base in a foreign country, and when they come to a place the fans will go there.

Yes but what I think is problematic and what I also believe many others see as problematic is the involvement of the Saudi Arabian government in control and funding of the sports clubs. You don't have that elsewhere and it proves that there is not only an agenda related to sports, but also a lot of politics involved in this whole approach to sign world stars and probably soon younger talents as well. The Public Investment Fund controlled (or associated with) by Salman now controls 75% of the four clubs an they are not establishing any spending thresholds whatsoever. That means they are free to spend whatever they want and can't get in trouble with the UEFA as they are not part of it. I think this is not a good development as it might destroy some fundamentals in soccer that are already damaged anyway, but could now get even worse. There is a disconnect between the financial realities of these sports professionals and ordinary people following and supporting them as fans. It is getting absurd now.

Ronaldo is almost always surprising at the start of his debut with his new team and with Al-Nassr he can still score so many goals, I think this GOAT has been thirsty for goals since leaving Manchester United. The first trophy for Ronaldo with Al-Nassr will still be open and it looks like he will keep trying until he gets it. In one of his interviews, Ronaldo said that he would still be playing football in the next 2 to 3 years and that did not rule out the possibility that after staying for several seasons with Al-Nassr he would simultaneously retire there.
I think one of the major reasons why Cristiano Ronaldo still shows hunger for goals and no signs of slowing down is because he has not achieved and won one trophy that he desires to help his country Portugal win, which is the the world Cup. Moving to Saudi Arabia, many football lovers thought that he was going to slow down and maybe just play a few years before retiring, but so far we have not seen him doing so, it is very possible that in the next world Cup and competition for Portugal we will still see the figure of Cristiano Ronaldo representing Portugal. In the Saudi league next season, Ronaldo and Benzema will contest for top scorers in the league.

Messi made the best choice for football to continue getting entertaining, if he had joined Saudi Arabia then all attention would had shifted to Saudi Arabia league but now the attention gets distributed between the Americans and The Saudi Arabians. 2026 world cup is coming to America so the Americans really needed the attention Messi is going to bring to their country. By Messi going to one of the worst team, he's putting himself in a good position Incase the team doesn't win anything next season. The small achievement the club would achieved will all be credited to messi and that's why Messi has always had a better career than Cristiano Ronaldo because he makes good decisions for his career.

Makes all the best decisions for his career? Dude played for 20 years at Barcelona from the youth teams when he was a little kid until he was already 33-34 or something, he didn't made any decisions then and he won everything with that club, he literally won 6 cups in a year, only one other team has ever done that before, and he did that with the team he grew up since he was a little kid. Then he won World Cup with Argentina, the team that he plays for because that's literally his nationality, and won copa america with them as well, that's literally his nationality.

The only decision he has ever made so far was to go to PSG and that was money based and he didn't won anything major there, just the league and we all know they would have won the league without him too, so he hasn't made any big decisions at all. This is the only one, so to say he always made better decisions compared to Ronaldo and that's why his career is better makes no sense at all.

-snip-
Even though he hasn't been able to provide a trophy for Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has been successful enough to prove that he is still productive in scoring goals.

I mean we should agree that these are more money these players can make for the rest of their careers combined than just a single year. So for example in Kantes case, he could play 10 more years, and he would not make 100 million total, that's just not going to happen, and instead he is making more money in a single year than he could make anywhere else.

As I have stated before, Saudis could be rich but they are not rich enough to keep this going, for example if they did this for all 11, that would be 1.1 billion a year, we all know they won't do that, so they will pay less, and even at 50 million a year, that's 550 million a year, they won't even do that. Which means that they will get a few token players like these, and a few more smaller names instead of huge names, like iago aspas and so forth, and they will call it a day, won't make them top 10 let alone top 5.
There are many types of players, some really care about very tight competition in popular leagues so they stay at their current clubs, or they leave but are still in a competitive league environment. The players come here one of the factors is the fantastic money they will get, it will guarantee their future. I would not make a big deal out of this, because apart from being a hobby they are also working and have to earn money in their hobby. Arab clubs are one of the destinations where players can get high salary values, so they will be tempted, especially if they are entering retirement age.

Yes, because young players will certainly settle down playing in Europe because of course, playing in Europe is a high motivation for achievement. So, to move and play in Saudi Arabia at least these players have entered retirement age. Thus, I agree about the amount of salary earned by star players who are willing to play in Saudi Arabia because after all, because they have entered retirement age, in the end these teams will only pay these players maybe only for one or two seasons. Therefore, I think the saudi professional league might be an alternative for them before retiring, because here they can receive high pay before retiring.
